Story
6 year old Rucker was an owner surrender at a local animal shelter. He was adopted right away but then the holidays came and all the family came to visit. Rucker a small little guy with lack of social skills was overwhelmed with guest and little ones running around. He should have been decompressing and getting comfortable in his new home, but instead got overwhelmed and scared and ended up biting his new owner. He went to another county shelter for his 10 day bite hold, the family decided that they would not be taking him back at the end of the hold. Rucker was marked rescue only.Rucker is adjusting to his new life in a foster home. He started off terrified of the other dogs, but has learned to tolerate a few of the smaller ones. With slow introductions, he could live in a home with other small dogs, but would do best in a home as an only dog. He is perplexed by cats, and not a fan of small children.  If we had to guess, Rucker probably lived his whole life with a single female without many visitors (people/animals). He thrives one on one, but not in a crowd. Once he knows you, he is good, but reserved around strangers.  Like a typical Pomeranian, he has a lot to say. Zuko is a stunning chocolate merle Pomeraninan/cCihuahua mix. This boy has a full Chihuahua personality though - he is definitely the lead singer of the band. He wants to be admired and flaunted but he has plenty of things to do. When he has finished his rounds of autographs, he chooses to hang out and cuddle. Maybe, like other leads, he is a bit insecure and is searching for a place he belongs; a place he will be able to transition on his own time and learn what it means to be a real member of the family. You see, Zuko, came to us after his previous (3) families gave up on him....they didn't allow him to become secure and confident and just wanted to smother and carry him around. Prince Charming is a very sweet dog. He is a pure breed from two show dogs. He is friendly and loves company. He is now 13 years old. I got him when he was just 6 weeks old. I am looking for a loving home for him. I recently had to move into an apartment when my life and financial circumstances changed. Caring for Prince Charming has unfortunately become difficult for me. He preferably needs a home with a backyard where he can easily go out to use the bathroom. Even though he has Congenital Heart Failure and is on prescriptions, he is doing well and has qualify of life.

A foster-to-adopt option is available for me, giving us the chance to get to know each other before making it official! Penna is about 8 pounds of sweetness. He can be a little shy at first but warms up quickly. Penne loves snuggles and being with his human family. He gets along fine with other dogs his size. He is working on potty pad and house training. Penne needs a quiet home where he can continue to grow with time and patience. Penne is on heart and thyroid meds. Penne currently weighs about 7lbs., is approximately 5 years old (est. birth date 07/02/2020), and his adoption fee is $315. Penne has been neutered, is up to date on all vaccinations & preventatives, and is microchipped.
