Story
Meet Hazel! Through no fault of her own, this beautiful 6-year-old Pomsky (Pomeranian and Husky) named Hazel is looking for a loving forever home. She weighs 26 pounds, is spayed, housebroken and has a sweet, affectionate personality that quickly wins people over. She gets along well with other dogs, but her compatibility with cats is currently unknown. Hazel loves being around people and thrives on companionship. She has a gentle, friendly nature that makes her a joy to have around. Smart and playful, Hazel enjoys spending time with her family and soaking up affection from the people she trusts. Whether she's relaxing by your side or enjoying a little playtime, Hazel is happiest when she's with her people. Hazel does have some special medical needs due to a history of kidney stones. To help keep her healthy, she requires constant access to fresh water, a specialized veterinarian-recommended diet with specific dietary restrictions, and regular veterinary checkups to monitor her condition and reduce the risk of future kidney stone formation. Despite these health considerations, Hazel is a happy, loving dog who enjoys life and has so much love to give. She is looking for a dedicated owner who can provide the care, attention, and commitment she deserves in return for years of loyal companionship. If you're looking for a sweet, affectionate furry friend and are prepared to meet her medical needs, Hazel could be the perfect addition to your family! If  you would like to consider making Hazel a part of your life, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   Mention what city and state that you live.  We transport from Nashville, TN where we are based and are able to reach homes and adopters in 12 other northeastern states north of Tennessee.      PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJuly 19, 2026, 6:58 pm

Story
Meet Mr. Possum, an older adult (approx. 10 years old) male Pomeranian weighing about 6 lbs!  Mr. Possum is too old to neuter and doesn't have many if any teeth but he is the sweetest boy! Mr. Possum is in CT and available for a meeting and a foster to adopt trial. We are accepting applications on him now! His foster said, "Mr. Possum looks at you with pure love and devotion! He is really a sweetheart!" Mr. Possum is medically up to date, housebroken (uses a belly band), and crate trained. Apply to meet this special pup today! Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! ##2752489##

Story
Reese has been an integral part of my life for a long time. It’s sad that he has to be rehomed because I will miss him dearly. Reese joined our family about 10 years ago. We got him at Pet Express. He was the cutest little thing. He was so kind, friendly, and curious. He's an awesome companion. He does well with other small to medium dogs and children. He''s super playful, but loves to snuggle up under a blanket and take naps. He's very social but knows how to self occupy by playing with his toys. He is neutered and his shots will be up to date upon adoption. He’s smart and extremely affectionate so be ready for lots of love and empathy from him. There have been times I've cried and he would come over to comfort me. I think he’d be an amazing addition for an older couple or an older individual who is looking for a loyal companion that’s portable and loving.

Story
Ekko & Mimi's Story Ekko (black and tan, male, 15 lbs) and Mimi (tan & white, female, 11 lbs) are an adorable bonded pair looking for a home where they can stay together forever! These sweet pups are house trained, crate trained, and have an easygoing, medium energy level that makes them a great fit for many different homes. They absolutely love people and enjoy playing with kids of all ages. Friendly and social, they are not fearful or reactive and have wonderfully happy personalities. Their favorite pastime is romping around the backyard together and playing with their small stuffed toys before settling in for some relaxation time. Ekko and Mimi are easy to walk on leash and could do well in an apartment or home environment as long as they get their daily exercise and playtime. Theyre relatively quiet overall, though they may bark a little when they see activity outside the fence — but once outside, they are calm and content explorers. Like many playful dogs, they do enjoy chasing cats, so a cat-free home would be best for this duo. If youre looking for two loving companions who already adore each other and are ready to bring double the joy into your life, Ekko and Mimi may be the perfect match! Ekko and Mimi are both about 8-10 yrs old. They are currently being fostered in Houston, TX and are available locally or out of state to the Northeast. If adopted out of state, they would come to their new home via professional transport. Email info@joyrides.org to request an application!
