He would do best in a home where he is the only dog to be treated like the prince he is meant to be. He has been completely vetted and is house/crate trained. Meet Mr. Possum, an older adult (approx. 10 years old) male Pomeranian!  Mr. Possum is too old to neuter and doesn't have many if any teeth but he is the sweetest boy! Mr. Possum is currently in TN and is expected to arrive in CT on 6/13. We are accepting applications on him now!  Mr. Possum is medically up to date, housebroken, and working on crate training. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. Ekko & Mimi's Story Ekko (black and tan, male, 15 lbs) and Mimi (tan & white, female, 11 lbs) are an adorable bonded pair looking for a home where they can stay together forever! These sweet pups are house trained, crate trained, and have an easygoing, medium energy level that makes them a great fit for many different homes. They absolutely love people and enjoy playing with kids of all ages. Friendly and social, they are not fearful or reactive and have wonderfully happy personalities. Their favorite pastime is romping around the backyard together and playing with their small stuffed toys before settling in for some relaxation time. Ekko and Mimi are easy to walk on leash and could do well in an apartment or home environment as long as they get their daily exercise and playtime. They’re relatively quiet overall, though they may bark a little when they see activity outside the fence — but once outside, they are calm and content explorers. Like many playful dogs, they do enjoy chasing cats, so a cat-free home would be best for this duo. If you’re looking for two loving companions who already adore each other and are ready to bring double the joy into your life, Ekko and Mimi may be the perfect match! Ekko and Mimi are both about 8-10 yrs old. They are currently being fostered in Houston, TX and are available locally or out of state to the Northeast.
