Story
Thanks to a generous grant from the Grey Muzzle Organization, my adoption fee is partially sponsored! My new family can take me home for $150! Meet Kuma! Kuma is a 7.5-year-old, 16 lb Pomeranian with a story that's been anything but ordinary. Rescued after spending her life as an Amish puppy mill mom, Kuma has traveled a long, strange road to get here. And if we've learned one thing about her, it's this: **Kuma is the toughest puff to ever be a puff.** She's tiny. She's fluffy. She's incredibly opinionated. Kuma is also...well...a little weird. She's an independent little lady who is still learning that people can be kind. Cuddles? Those are suspicious. Being picked up? Absolutely unnecessary. While her foster mom insists on loving her anyway, Kuma usually responds with the most dramatic side-eye you've ever seen, as if to say, *"This level of affection seems excessive."* But don't let her fool you. While Kuma may act like she doesn't need anyone, she absolutely needs to know where her people are. Her favorite place to supervise life is sprawled dramatically in the hallway, where she can monitor the entire household. And if someone has the audacity to close the bathroom door? Expect to hear her signature protest. Which brings us to another one of Kuma's...unique qualities. Kuma doesn't really bark. She yells **"A!"** Not "woof." Not "ruff." Just...loud, passionate, determined **A's** that echo through the house like she's trying to make an important announcement that only she understands. We don't know why. We've stopped asking questions. It's simply part of the Kuma experience. Walks? Harnesses? Leashes? Kuma would rather not, thank you very much. Those are all very strange inventions, and she has no interest in participating. A securely fenced yard where she can safely patrol, sniff, and conduct her mysterious little missions is much more her style. Now, while people are still somewhat confusing, dogs? Dogs are the best. Kuma absolutely adores her foster siblings and happily lives with dogs of all sizes. Her favorites are the big dogs, and she'd love a confident canine companion to follow around the yard like the tiny, fluffy shadow creature she was clearly destined to be. Sometimes she'll play. Sometimes she'll simply trail behind them as though she's on an important assignment that only she knows about. Kuma may never become the cuddly lap dog people expect when they hear "Pomeranian," and that's perfectly okay. What she needs is a family that will celebrate her for exactly who she is—a resilient little survivor with a hilarious personality, endless sass, and a heart that's learning, one day at a time, that life can be safe. The greatest gift you can give Kuma isn't forcing affection. It's giving her the freedom to be wonderfully, unapologetically herself. And if you're lucky, one day she'll reward you with a hallway nap, a tiny shadow following you through the yard, and a very enthusiastic chorus of "A!" every time you disappear behind a closed bathroom door. Kuma is fostered in the Cincinnati area. Her adoption fee is $300.00. Story
Meet Happy McMuffin, the happiest little Pom with the sweetest smile! Happy is a 3-year-old,female, 10 pound Pomeranian bursting with affection, playfulness, and the most adorable head tilts when you talk to her. She loves being petted, getting scratched on her back, and receiving tummy rubs and jumps with excitement whenever she sees her person. She enjoys playing chase and also loves chilling on the couch. Happy McMuffin can be a bit hesitant when first approached; after all, this life is all new to her. But her desire for affection quickly overrides her hesitation. She gets along well with small/medium dogs but can a bit unsure about very large dogs. And she loves cats, especially ones that show her some playful attention. Happy is progressing with house training and also uses a pee pad inside. She’s still working on leash training so a fenced-in yard OR a patient adopter willing to work on these skills would be ideal. If you’re looking for a delightful companion with the happiest disposition, apply for Happy McMuffin today! Happy McMuffin is fostered in the Cincinnati area. Her adoption fee is $450.00. Story
Mocha is an adorable senior Pom, approximately 10 years old and weighing just 7 pounds. Don’t let his tiny size or age fool you—this little guy still has plenty of personality!   Mocha came into rescue needing a little medical TLC. He had a cyst on his side that was thankfully benign and successfully removed, along with some significant dental disease that needed attention. Now he’s feeling better and ready to find a family of his own.   Mocha is a happy, friendly little guy who enjoys people and does well with other dogs. He can be a bit bossy—apparently 7 pounds is more than enough to be in charge! We do not recommend a home with cats.   He’s also doing great with potty training and is proving that senior dogs can absolutely learn new routines.   Mocha would be a wonderful companion for someone looking for a small, affectionate dog with a big personality. At around 10 years old, he deserves a comfortable home, plenty of love, and someone who appreciates a Chihuahua who knows exactly what he wants.   Mocha’s adoption fee is $215. He is fixed, up to date on shots, wormings and preventatives, and microchipped with lifetime registration.   Apply to adopt Mocha:https://www.petstablished.com/adoption_form/10167/generic ##2814149##

Story
Born in July 2023, Briar was bottle-fed around the clock and lovingly raised by our rescue president, making her an especially cherished girl to us. Briar is happy, friendly, and absolutely loves people. She does great with other dogs and would thrive in a home with another playful pup to help build her confidence. While she can be nervous in new situations at first, once she settles in, her sweet personality shines. She’s very good in the house, uses puppy pads, and is not crate trained. Briar’s favorite place to sleep is tucked under the covers in bed with her human. Her ideal home will have: • A secure fenced yard • Another friendly, playful dog • A patient family who will help her continue gaining confidence Briar is such a special little soul, and we can’t wait to find the perfect family for her. ❤️ **All dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and on prevention for heartworms, fleas, and ticks. Dentals are also done if necessary. To apply to adopt, please fill out the application at www.proudpupsrescue.com
