Story
Ollie and Lulu were surrendered to us when their owner no longer had the time to care for them. They both had untreated medical issues and severe dental disease, leaving them extremely uncomfortable and lethargic. After receiving treatment they became almost entirely different dogs. Ollie and Lulu may be seniors but they sure do like to go for walks and run around the yard together. They are a volunteer favourite because of their goofy and sweet dispositions. They are selective with dogs and would only do well in a home with another calm dog that does not intimidate or become rough with them. Ollie does bark at other dogs in passing, while Lulu ignores them. Ollie and Lulu would do well in just about any home. They have been great with respectful children that are experienced with dogs. Lulu can sometimes have grumpy moments when she wants her space to nap. It's important to look for the obvious signs when she needs alone time. Ollie is always happy and ready for a cuddle. This cute duo have great house manners, they frequently go on sleepovers with our dedicated volunteers who report they are always on their best behaviour.

Story
QUICK FACTS Name: Brownie Age: About 4.5 Months Old Gender: Female (Spaying Scheduled) Breed: Pomeranian – Spitz Mix Color: Brown, Black and White Weight: 5kg / 11lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I used to have siblings by my side. One by one, they found their homes and I was left behind alone at the city shelter. With no one choosing me, I was at risk of euthanasia but just before it was too late, someone saw me and gave me a second chance. Now I’m ready to find a family who will choose me forever.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Spaying scheduled & healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY Hi, I’m Brownie, a happy little puppy who thinks the whole world is exciting! Everything around me feels new and interesting, so I love exploring, watching, and learning as I go. I’m full of puppy charm—cute, affectionate, and always ready to share some love. If I’m a little shy at first, don’t worry… it only lasts about five seconds! After that, I’m right by your side, wagging and ready to be your friend. Even though I’m playful and curious, I also have a calm and easygoing side. I’m not overly noisy—most of the time I’m quiet, though I might let out a happy bark when I’m having fun. People say I’m even cuter in real life (I’ll let you be the judge!), but what really matters is my gentle, positive nature. If you’re looking for a sweet, adaptable puppy who will grow with you and fill your days with warmth, I’d love to be your little companion.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I love meeting people and will happily come up to say hello, leaning my little body in and letting you pet me right away. I’m naturally affectionate, and once I feel safe, I’ll even roll over to show my belly—a quiet, trusting gesture just for you. You can gently pick me up by supporting my belly, and I’ll stay calm and comfortable. I haven’t had experience with children under 13 yet, so I’d do best with a bit of patience and understanding as I learn. · With Dogs: I’m a social butterfly who loves making new dog friends wherever I go. I’ll happily trot over to say hello—whether we’ve met before or not—and often invite them to play. I feel especially comfortable with dogs around my size, and that’s where my playful, confident side really shines. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have moderate energy level – I love spending time outdoors, but I also know how to settle down and relax afterward. I’m still in the process of learning how to walk nicely on a leash, so I’m a work in progress—but I’m eager and getting better every day.   TRAINING & HABITS I don’t guard my food with people or other dogs, so mealtimes stay relaxed and peaceful. When I want something, I might let out a little bark to let you know—but I’m simply trying to communicate. I settle nicely in a kennel and stay calm when it’s time to rest. I’m flexible with my routines, using both indoor pads and outdoor spaces for potty.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together A family that will love and cherish me forever   SPECIAL NOTES    BROWNIE'S YOUTUBE PLAYLIST   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.co ##2720617##

Story
**Note: Currently, Juhee is in Korea, but upon adoption she will arrive in Toronto. For more info about the dog or the adoption application, please click here.BackgroundJuhee was rescued from a puppy mill in Boryeong, Korea in the summer of 2023. After her rescue, she stayed at a local shelter before moving to our partner boarding house. Since then, she has been living quietly alongside other dogs, slowly discovering what a safe and loving life feels like.Personality and SocializationJuhee has a moderate energy level and a soft, gentle personality. She is a sweet and easygoing girl who is a pleasure to be around. She approaches both people and other dogs in a calm and friendly way. Juhee enjoys affection and loves being close to her people, often choosing to stay nearby and share quiet moments together.Around other dogs, Juhee is polite and respectful. She gets along well with others and enjoys their company. While she is not the type of dog who actively seeks out play, she is comfortable simply spending time alongside them. She prefers calm companions and is not a fan of overly vocal or dominant dogs. She has no experience with cats or young children, but with a proper and slow introduction, she will likely adjust well.BehaviourJuhee does not show signs of separation anxiety. She is calm and cooperative during vet visits, walks nicely on leash, and behaves well during bath time. She also travels quietly in the car. She is trained to use pee pads and also does well with outdoor potty. Juhee is not vocal and has a relaxed, easy nature. She may feel a little nervous in a new environment at first, but settles in as she becomes more comfortable.Health and DietJuhee is spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, dewormed, and on regular parasite prevention. She has a mild tracheal collapse (grade 1). She was on medication for two weeks, and her coughing has now stopped. She may need medication again, or she may continue to do well without it. Sudden changes in environment, stress, and weight gain can contribute to this condition. In any case, her future family should be aware of this condition and be committed to providing her with the care she may need. Juhee currently eats kibble. She is healthy and ready for her forever home.Ideal HomeJuhee is a gentle and adaptable girl who does not ask for much. She would do well in many types of homes. What matters most is a family who can spend time with her and not leave her alone for long periods. She is a loving, snuggly companion who enjoys being close to her people. Juhee has so much quiet love to give, and the family who welcomes her will be gaining a deeply devoted and gentle friend.**Note: Currently, Juhee is in Korea, but upon adoption she will arrive in Toronto. ***REMINDER:  Please read the bio requirements and only fill in the application if you can meet ALL requirements. Due to the number of applications being received for each dog, we are only able to contact the applicants who have met ALL the listed Requirements*** Name/Tag#: Dolly 4463 Age: 6 yrs old Sex/Altered: Female/Spayed Weight: 16lb Breed: Pomeranian Foster Home Location:  PENETANGUISHENE, ON Adoption Fee:  $700.00 Temperament: Sweet, playful Activity/Energy Level: Low Up to date on Shots: Yes Housebroken: Working on it Crate Trained: Sleeps in a crate at night Ok with Dogs: Yes Ok with Cats: Unknown but probably fine Ok with Kids: Yes, quiet, respectful kids over 6 years Origin: Mass breeding facility Requirements: Securely fenced yard, someone home most of the time, a companion dog in the home, mill dog experience an asset, no kids under 6   And now, a few words from me: In spite of spending my first six years as a breeder, I’m a lively, bold, and inquisitive little dog with a huge, confident personality packed into a small body. I’m intelligent, affectionate, and loyal to my people — though I do have an independent streak and can be a bit stubborn sometimes. I am looking for my person, my fur buddy and a place to call my own. I love food and snacks and lots of attention. Have you got room for me in your heart and your home? And now, a few words from my foster mom: Dolly is a sweet, lovable quirky, little girl. She's funny, she dances, she prances, and she talks a little bit. She's a little stubborn, but a hundred percent loveable. Dolly loves running around the backyard, but she is still resistant to walking on a leash. Her fur is really poofy and quite soft. She will need regular grooming. Most of the time she wants to be where you are, but oftentimes she will choose to have some alone time in her crate. Dolly's going to need a fenced in area to do her business and a confident companion dog in the home so she can continue to learn. Don't miss your chance on this loving, funny girl. Questions?
