Story
Ollie and Lulu were surrendered to us when their owner no longer had the time to care for them. They both had untreated medical issues and severe dental disease, leaving them extremely uncomfortable and lethargic. After receiving treatment they became almost entirely different dogs. Ollie and Lulu may be seniors but they sure do like to go for walks and run around the yard together. They are a volunteer favourite because of their goofy and sweet dispositions. They are selective with dogs and would only do well in a home with another calm dog that does not intimidate or become rough with them. Ollie does bark at other dogs in passing, while Lulu ignores them. Ollie and Lulu would do well in just about any home. They have been great with respectful children that are experienced with dogs. Lulu can sometimes have grumpy moments when she wants her space to nap. It's important to look for the obvious signs when she needs alone time. Ollie is always happy and ready for a cuddle. This cute duo have great house manners, they frequently go on sleepovers with our dedicated volunteers who report they are always on their best behaviour.

Story
Jag is an 8 year old, 15 pound, spayed female Pomeranian. Her coat is cloud-soft but has shown no tendencies to mat so she always looks beautiful. Going outside on leash walks is always Jag's chance to read pee mail, see who has cruised through her territory and take care of calls of nature. She gets down to business in a short time so there are never accidents in the house. She does tend to pull on the leash but, being a small breed, it isn't an insurmountable problem. In foster, Jag is crated at night and when no one is home. She willingly enters the crate to get bedtime snacks. When alone, she complains but then settles. Jag responds well to cues like 'off, leave it, come, sit and up'. We're working on 'stay' so that she doesn't bolt through outside doors. It's going well. On arrival, Jag barked a lot but her barking decreased dramatically as she became accustomed to typical sounds and routines.  Reinforcing her quiet times with treats has also helped when she reacts to strange sounds. Although we were told Jag did well with young children in her former home, in foster she has not met any. Likewise, no cat interactions. She barks at dogs outside but not always at people. She has limited experience with other dogs in the recent past and has never lived with another dog.  Friends entering the house are barked at but she soon settles and allows petting. Due to barking at strange sounds, Jag would do best in a detached house with people who are home most of the time. She loves snuggling on a lap with hands stroking her.  Please complete our Adoption Application if you think you would be a great match for Jag. https://www.speakingofdogs.com/adoption/adoption-process/ Due to time constraints, we cannot respond to every email asking for more information on a dog. Please carefully review the bio for the dog and our adoption process https://www.speakingofdogs.com/adoption/adoption-process/.  If you are still interested in adopting, please fill out the adoption application form at the bottom of that page.July 12, 2026, 1:39 pm

🐾 Meet May 🐾 📍 Current location: South Korea ❤ Age: Approximately 3 years old (born in 2023) ❤ Gender: Female / Spayed ❤ Weight: 10 kg (22 lbs) ❤ Breed: Terrier Mix ❤ Health: Overall healthy 🐶 Personality & Behavior 💖 People-friendly – May absolutely loves people. She is incredibly affectionate, enjoys being petted, and happily greets both familiar faces and strangers. She loves attention and often nudges people with her nose, asking for more affection. 💖 Kid-friendly – May is calm and comfortable around children. While she doesn't actively seek them out, she is gentle and relaxed around people of all ages. 💖 Dog-friendly – May enjoys people much more than other dogs. She can become jealous when receiving attention and may show possessive behavior if another dog approaches while she's being petted. She would be happiest as the only dog in the home. 💖 Cat-friendly – Not tested. 🚽 Potty trained – Reliably uses pee pads indoors and also does well with outdoor potty. 🚶 Leash manners – Walks very well on leash. She may pull slightly at the beginning of a walk but quickly settles into a relaxed pace. ⚡ Energy level – Medium. She enjoys walks and outdoor activities but is calm and relaxed indoors. 🏡 Separation anxiety / Barking – No separation anxiety. She may occasionally bark for attention while inside a kennel. 🚗 Car rides – May occasionally whines during car rides. 🩺 Rescue Story May was rescued from a veterinary clinic in Eungam-dong. When she was found, her canine teeth had been deliberately filed down. Despite her difficult past, May has never lost her trust in people. She remains incredibly affectionate and loving, finding her greatest happiness in human companionship. 💕 May's Perfect Home May would thrive in a home where she can build a close bond with her family and receive plenty of love and affection. Although she enjoys spending time with her people, she also settles well on her own when needed. Because she prefers not to share her person's attention with other dogs, May would do best as the only dog in the household, where she can truly shine as a devoted and loving companion. ❤️

Story
Meet Nana   Name: Nana Age: 4 months Sex: Female Spayed: No Breed: Pomeranian Color: White Weight: 2.1 kg (4.6 lbs) Height: 23 cm (9 in)   Rescue Story   Nana was found alone in the flower bed of an apartment complex after being abandoned. A kind resident rescued her and searched for her owner, but despite their efforts, no one came forward to claim her. Now, this sweet little girl is looking for the loving family she truly deserves.   Personality with People   Nana is incredibly affectionate and people-oriented. She happily approaches both familiar faces and complete strangers, enjoys being petted, and loves both men and women equally. She can be comfortably picked up by supporting her under the belly, and she’ll even roll over to show her belly to people she’s just met. One of her favorite things is being cuddled—she’ll often ask to be picked up for extra snuggles.   Social with Other Dogs   Nana is friendly with both familiar and unfamiliar dogs and loves greeting them and inviting them to play. She sometimes forgets how tiny she is and confidently approaches dogs much bigger than herself. If another dog does something she doesn’t like, she’ll happily “voice her opinion” with some adorable bossy barking.   She generally enjoys playing with dogs around her own size and prefers calmer companions over very high-energy dogs. While she enjoys canine friends, she is also perfectly happy entertaining herself and does not depend on other dogs for confidence.   Cats   Nana has been cat-tested and did well. She was curious and even wanted to play with the cats.   Energy Level   Nana has a moderate energy level. She enjoys outdoor activities and playtime, but since she’s still a young puppy, she tires out quickly after an active play session and settles down nicely to rest afterward.   Walks   Nana has not yet had the opportunity to learn leash walking, so her future family should expect to introduce walks gradually with patience and positive reinforcement.   More About Nana   No resource guarding toward people or other dogs. No signs of separation anxiety. Very quiet for a puppy. She may bark briefly when she first wakes up in the morning or while playing with her dog friends, but otherwise she rarely barks. Calm and relaxed in a crate. Currently uses both pee pads indoors and goes potty outdoors.   Nana is a cheerful, affectionate little companion with a confident personality and a heart full of love. If you’re looking for a cuddly best friend who enjoys both playtime and snuggle time, Nana may be the perfect addition to your family. Story
QUICK FACTS Name: Dodo Age: 4 years old Gender: Male (Neutered) Breed: Pomeranian Jindo mix Color: Brown Weight: 5kg / 11lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was rescued from the euthanasia list at a crowded city pound, where my future became uncertain simply because there was no more space left for dogs like me. Through no fault of my own, my time was running out. Thankfully, kind rescuers stepped in just in time and gave me a second chance at life. Now, I’m finally safe and hoping to find a loving forever family where I can truly belong.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY I can be shy in the beginning, but I promise I’m worth the wait. Beneath my timid side is a super cute, loving, and gentle boy who just needs a little patience and understanding to fully come out of his shell. I would do best with a family that understands rescue dogs and is willing to let me build trust at my own pace. I rely a lot on my dog friends for emotional support, and having calm, supportive companions around me helps me open up more quickly and feel safe. Even with my shy moments, I’m generally a bright, positive boy who wants to connect and experience the world with confidence and love.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I can be shy at first, but I’ll gently take treats from your hands and slowly accept soft pets as I get comfortable. I also allow myself to be picked up and handled gently. Even though I may seem timid in the beginning, I’m a very gentle and sweet boy at heart, and with patience and kindness, I truly do warm up. In a home environment where I can feel safe and settled, I’m confident I’ll bond with my new family relatively quickly and show my loving personality more and more each day. · With Dogs: I’m super friendly with my dog friends and love greeting new dogs and playing with them. I tend to get along best with dogs of a similar size, where I feel the most comfortable and confident. I’m also very much a peacekeeper and prefer to avoid conflict, even if another dog is being pushy or rude. Rather than escalating situations, I usually choose to stay calm and move away. I also rely a lot on my dog friends for emotional support, and having calm, friendly companions around me helps me feel more secure and confident. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown. A cat test can be arranged upon request to ensure the best fit.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a moderate energy level. I enjoy spending time outdoors, whether it’s going for walks or exploring, but once I’ve had my activity, I’m more than happy to come inside, curl up, and enjoy a cozy nap or snuggle session.   TRAINING & HABITS I’m still improving my leash skills and building confidence every day. Overall, I walk well and follow my handler’s lead nicely, especially once I feel comfortable. I do best in quieter areas, as sudden loud noises can still startle me sometimes. With patience and continued positive experiences, I’m continuing to grow more confident. I have great manners around food and don’t guard my meals from people or other dogs. I also know how to rest calmly in my kennel and settle well when it’s time to relax. I’m comfortable using both pee pads indoors and going potty outside, making me adaptable to different routines and environments.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: • A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment • A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout • A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together • A family that will love and cherish me forever • A home with another dog sibling – not an absolute requirement   SPECIAL NOTES Volunteers and staff compliment me every day on how sweet and adorable I am. Even though I may seem shy at first, I actually adjust and adapt quite quickly once I start feeling safe and comfortable. My shyness mostly comes from meeting new people in the beginning, but I’m naturally curious and enjoy slowly approaching to get to know you. I especially love taking treats gently from people’s hands, which helps me build trust and confidence quickly.   DODO'S YOUTUBE PLAYLIST   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.co ##2736193##
