Meet Pom Pom   She recently came into our care and is currently adjusting to a new environment, so we're giving her the time and space she needs to show us who she is.   Pomeranians are generally bright, affectionate, lively, and devoted little dogs. They often form strong bonds with their people and can be playful and surprisingly sweet. At 11 years old, however, we're especially interested in learning about her individual personality, preferences, routines, and what makes her feel most comfortable. Right now she's a bit chonky and could stand to loose some weight. For a puppymill momma, she's very sweet and will take food from your hand.   She is currently shaved, we're sure her hair will grow back to a nice full coat. She will need to be groomed regularly once it grows back in.   The right home   At this point, we're looking for an adopter who is willing to let her decompress and get to know her at her own pace. Her ideal home will provide:   A calm, stable environment Patience while she adjusts to her new surroundings Plenty of companionship and affection A predictable routine Gentle handling and age-appropriate activity A commitment to senior veterinary care as she gets older We're not going to pretend we know everything about her yet. She's an older lady who deserves the opportunity to settle in, feel safe, and show us her true personality. I`m a little 9 lb bundle of goofy, sweet, nervous personality wrapped in very soft Pomeranian fur. I spent the first part of my life breeding and I`m still learning to trust humans, but dogs are AMAZING. I love love love other dogs and would do best in a home with another dog. I also get along with cats! I`m looking for a quiet household with a steady routine and no small children. My favorite thing in the whole world is running full tilt through the yard and rolling around in plants, so I`d really love a home with a fenced in backyard or a family that`s willing to take me to the dog park regularly. I love foster mom and love being near her and giving her kisses on the hand, but I`m not ready to snuggle and I get really nervous about getting pets. I had a dental and they took most of my teeth so now my lips get caught on the teeth I have left and foster mom laughs at my silly faces.
