Meet Negroni, a 3-year-old sweetheart who's equal parts shy and chill. This super sweet and affectionate girl is looking for a foster home while she's being treated for heartworms. We're still learning about Negroni, but what we know so far is pretty special. She's the kind of dog who takes her time warming up, but once she does, her gentle, loving nature shines through. Negroni's calm demeanor makes her an easy companion—she's content to relax by your side and soak up all the quiet affection you can offer. While she completes her heartworm treatment, Negroni needs a patient foster home where she can continue to blossom at her own pace. If you're ready to help this sweet girl heal and discover more of her wonderful personality, Negroni would love to meet you.August 14, 2026, 5:01 pm

Story
Sashimi is a young girl, about a year old, who was picked up locally as a stray and never reclaimed. She was spayed while at the shelter and is heartworm negative, so she’s now ready for a foster or forever home. Sashimi is dog friendly and still has all the bright, young-dog energy that comes with being just about a year old. She’s at the perfect age to settle into a home where she can continue learning, growing, and showing off her personality. If you’re looking for a sweet young pup who is ready for a fresh start, Sashimi may be the one for you.August 14, 2026, 5:01 pm

Story
Meet Harper, a 2.5-year-old girl with a big personality and an even bigger heart. She’s affectionate, confident, cuddly, enthusiastic, and playful—the kind of pup who dives headfirst into life and sometimes forgets just how big she is. Harper is good with dogs and kids, though smaller children may get bumped over in her excitement because, well, she’s a bit of a bull in a china shop. Harper is house trained and will go into her crate, even if it’s not her favorite place to be. She’s still working on leash manners and tends to pull, but she’s making progress. She can be a little toy-posessive with other dogs, though she has allowed toys to be taken from her without any issue or aggression. She also sits politely before her food bowl is put down, which shows she’s got plenty of good manners mixed in with all that enthusiasm. This fun-loving girl enjoys zoomies and a little digging in the yard, but she’s not a fan of water. Harper has shown no interest in escaping the yard, and while thunderstorms can make her anxious, she’s working on desensitization and calming chews before storms have been helping. Harper is looking for a home that can keep up with her playful spirit, continue her training, and appreciate all the love she has to give. One thing’s for sure—life with Harper will never be boring.August 14, 2026, 5:01 pm

Story
Standing below knee height and somehow still stealing the whole show, Andrea may just be the most pint-sized pocket husky you'll ever need. At 11 months old, she's dog friendly, a little shy, and unfairly cute. This tiny powerhouse proves that the best things really do come in small packages. Andrea's gentle nature and sweet demeanor make her the perfect companion for anyone looking for a husky with all the charm and none of the overwhelming size. Her shyness only adds to her endearing personality—she's the kind of pup who warms up slowly but loves deeply. We're still learning about Andrea, and she's looking for a foster home while she waits for her forever family. If you're ready to welcome a knee-high bundle of adorable into your life (even temporarily), Andrea is waiting to steal your heart (and possibly your favorite spot on the couch).

Story
Meet Nikandr, a certified love boy with a soft heart and a serious appreciation for snacks. Despite spending his days in boarding, he still believes every person he meets is there to be his best friend. His one little quirk? He prefers the VIP boarding experience and would much rather be carried into the car. Smart, eager to learn, and always happy to work for a treat, Nikandr is the kind of dog who will thrive with someone willing to invest in him. He’s affectionate, loyal, and more than ready to trade kennel life for a couch of his own. If you’re ready to foster or adopt this handsome boy, he can’t wait to meet you.August 14, 2026, 5:01 pm

Story
Nigel is a 5-year-old boy who recently joined Texas Husky Rescue. We're still getting to know this pup and learning about his personality, preferences, and needs. We do know that he is dog friendly and a good balance of husky energy and chill. Nigel is looking for either a foster home or a forever home. Fostering gives us valuable information about his personality and helps him decompress from his previous situation. It also helps us make the best possible match when the right adopter comes along. If you're interested in fostering or adopting Nigel and helping us learn more about this special pup, we'd love to hear from you!August 14, 2026, 5:01 pm

Story
Meet Bird (aka "Bird the Turd")! Don't let the nickname fool you—Bird is a super handsome 2-year-old boy who is ready to find his permanent "nest." He is a sweet, goofy, and incredibly entertaining guy who is guaranteed to keep you laughing. The "Teenager" Phase At two years old, Bird is essentially a teenager. He can be a little hard-headed at times, but he’s also brilliant and highly treat-motivated. He thrives with a gentle leader, a calm voice, and a little bit of reassurance. Once he knows he’s safe and has your confidence, his true "heart of gold" shines through. Bird’s Favorite Things Bird is all about living life to the fullest. His ideal day includes: Being Your Co-Pilot: He rides beautifully in the front seat and loves a good car ride. Staying Active: He loves walks, playing fetch, and "window watching" the world go by. Snuggle Time: After he lets loose and has a good time, he is a total professional at snuggling. Friends & Family Dogs: He can be a little wary when first meeting new dog friends, but once he realizes they’re okay, he’s solid as a rock. He enjoys playful companions but is also perfectly happy being your "solo pup" if you’re home more often than not. Cats: He does well with "cool" cats who don't run. He’s curious and might try to sniff or encourage them to play! Kids: He loves children! However, he is a "big oaf" who can get rowdy when he’s happy and overstimulated. Because he doesn't quite realize his own size, he’d be a best fit for older or experienced kids. The "Three-Week" Rule Bird is a sensitive soul who needs a little time to adjust. It takes him about two to three weeks to fully settle into a new home and routine. He is looking for a patient family who understands that the best things in life are worth waiting for. Please don't break his heart—give him the time he needs to show you what an amazing companion he can be! Fast Facts Age/Stats: 2 years old | Neutered | Microchipped | Vaccinated House Manners: Crate and potty trained. On the Go: Does well on a leash once he gets into a routine. Personality: Goofy, smart, and a little bit clumsy. Bird is ready to give you his whole world. Are you ready to be his best friend? Apply today to meet this one-of-a-kind guy! ##2008854##
