Story
Max is an 8-year-old, 18 lb Pomeranian/Shiba Inu mix. Breed mix is just our best guess. Max’s coat was in horrible shape when he first came, extremely filthy and matted. Foster mom bathed him several times, and the vet tech removed the mats at the same time he was neutered. Then, a professional groomer gave him another bath and shaped up his coat. Max is now a very clean and handsome boy! It is critical that his new owner provide the grooming care that his long, thick coat requires. Max has one ear that stands up and one ear that flops over, which just adds to his cuteness and charm. He doesn’t bark much but when he does, his bark is more of a honk (like a goose). Very cute! Max LOVES toys! He needs to have a toy to chew on that he can destroy. He’ll take his toy with him everywhere he goes (outside and inside). He needs to have toys available at all times, to keep him from chewing something he shouldn't. He is possessive of his toys (not food), just his beloved toys. Max loves to roam the yard and work the fence with the big dogs in his foster home, but he also loves being a lap dog and taking long naps. Max would do best in a quiet house where someone is around most of the time. In return, he will be the sweetest companion and lap dog. He attaches quickly to his primary care giver so a transition to a quiet house will be very smooth sailing. Max has heartworms because he was not kept on heartworm prevention. Meet Erin! 🐾❤️ Erin is an approximately 3-year-old Husky/Cattle Dog mix with the sweetest, most playful personality. She was rescued from a shelter alongside her five puppies, and now that her mom duties are behind her, she’s ready to find a loving forever home of her own. Erin absolutely loves people and does wonderfully with children and other dogs. She’s a total cuddle bug who enjoys snuggling up with her people, going for walks, and playing with her favorite toys. Erin may be 3 years old, but she’s still very much a puppy at heart, so she’ll need some supervision and plenty of sturdy chew toys. She’ll also need a very secure backyard with fencing at least 6 feet high—Huskies are known for being talented escape artists! Erin is kennel trained, leash trained, and potty trained, making her a wonderful companion for an active family. Erin has so much love to give and deserves a family who will give her the safe, happy, forever home she’s been waiting for. ❤️ Erin has heartworms because she was not kept on heartworm prevention. Story
Sage is a 3 year old Shepherd/Husky mix. Foster mom says that Sage is a doll!! She has gorgeous markings, including one blue eye and one gold eye. She is sweet, smart, housetrained, comes when called, will sit for a treat, walks well on leash, and she is good with the resident dog and people she meets. Sage loves to play with the resident dog and stay active, so she would love a new home with another playful dog, or people who will provide her with lots of exercise and playtime. She can also entertain herself with toys or chews. Sage will not do well in an apartment, as she needs a securely fenced yard for her squirrel and bunny watching (and chasing).
