My name is Dutchess, and I'm a 6-year-old Pomeranian weighing a perfectly fluffy 12 pounds. I'm the definition of a happy-go-lucky girl! I love meeting new people, making friends, and being part of whatever is going on. Whether it's a neighborhood stroll, a car ride, or relaxing at home, I'm just happy to be included. My tail is usually wagging, and I have a way of brightening every room I enter. I'm also wonderful with other dogs and enjoy having furry friends around. My sweet, social personality makes me an easy addition to just about any family. If you're looking for a companion who's affectionate, friendly, and always ready for an adventure (or a nap!), I might be your perfect match. Animal Information: Maple and her brother Moose were surrendered to our rescue by a Good Samaritan. While visiting friends on reservation land, she noticed two very emaciated puppies wandering outside. Sadly, a third puppy from the same group had already passed away, likely due to malnutrition. The puppies did not have access to food or water. Seeing their condition, she made the decision to bring Maple and Moose home and began searching for a rescue in the Seattle area that could take them in. After meeting the puppies, we agreed to help and bring them into our care. Maple and Moose are estimated to be around 5 months old. Their parents are known on the property. Their mother is a Siberian Husky mix and their father is an Australian Shepherd. We will be looking for single family homes with securely fenced yard and a canine companion. We are not considering apartment for her at this time. They are now safe and receiving the care they need as they begin their journey toward healthy, happy lives. Foster Profile: Coming Soon! Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Animal Information: Niley is a 1-year-old female Shepsky mix with striking eyes and a beautiful coat. She’s friendly with both people and other dogs, but found herself at risk for euthanasia due to her extended stay at the shelter and the kennel stress that came with it. That environment can be especially tough on dogs like Niley, so once we had a committed foster in place, we were able to step in and save her life. Foster Profile:   Niley is a bit shy at first but very sweet and friendly! She’s a gentle dog who is interested in playing with other dogs, but nothing too rough and tumble. Niley is more human motivated than a typical Husky and comes and leans in for pats . She has the typical energy level of a young Husky, but is able to calm down better than expected and loves to snuggle with her people. Niley is crate and potty trained and walks well on leash. We think she  will benefit from ongoing structure and consistent training, but she is overall an easy going girl. She would love a home with a fenced yard if possible; breed experience would be a plus! Medical Note: Shortly after her arrival to Seattle, Niley developed some difficulty walking and balance issues. She has improved significantly on oral medication with very few residual symptoms. However, we believe she may require ongoing medication and will benefit from adopters comfortable managing these issues. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $400 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, heartworm test, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian.
