Story
Animal Information: Maple and her brother Moose were surrendered to our rescue by a Good Samaritan. While visiting friends on reservation land, she noticed two very emaciated puppies wandering outside. Sadly, a third puppy from the same group had already passed away, likely due to malnutrition. The puppies did not have access to food or water. Seeing their condition, she made the decision to bring Maple and Moose home and began searching for a rescue in the Seattle area that could take them in. After meeting the puppies, we agreed to help and bring them into our care. Maple and Moose are estimated to be around 5 months old. Their parents are known on the property. Their mother is a Siberian Husky mix and their father is an Australian Shepherd. We will be looking for single family homes with securely fenced yard and a canine companion. We are not considering apartment for her at this time. They are now safe and receiving the care they need as they begin their journey toward healthy, happy lives. Foster Profile: Coming Soon! Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization (ID 81-5101166). Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was surrendered to our rescue when after they were rescued by a good samaritan and arrived to foster care on 4/20/26. They will be available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.June 13, 2026, 7:15 pm

Story
Animal Information: Niley is a 1-year-old female Shepsky mix with striking eyes and a beautiful coat. She’s friendly with both people and other dogs, but found herself at risk for euthanasia due to her extended stay at the shelter and the kennel stress that came with it. That environment can be especially tough on dogs like Niley, so once we had a committed foster in place, we were able to step in and save her life. Foster Profile:   Niley is still a bit shy but very sweet and friendly! She’s a gentle dog who is interested in playing with other dogs, but nothing too rough and tumble. Niley is a bit more human motivated than a typical Husky and comes and leans in for pats . She has the typical energy level of a young Husky, but is able to calm down better than expected. Niley sometimes makes noises or yips when she is put back in the crate or if there is a lot of action she doesn't get to participate in, but she calms after a few minutes. With structure I think she'll get the rest of crate training pretty fast. She sleeps through the night in her crate without issue. She is still a little confused by the leash but she kinda goes with the flow and will start walking with you or following leash pressure.   I think Niley will really benefit from ongoing structure and consistent training; breed experience is a plus! More to come as this sweet girl settles in. Medical Note: Shortly after her arrival to Seattle, Niley developed some difficulty walking and balance issues. She has been evaluated by our vet without definitive diagnosis, however, has improved on oral medication. We believe she will need ongoing medication and will benefit from adopters comfortable managing these issues. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $400 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, heartworm test, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization (ID 81-5101166). Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was transferred from San Bernardino in Modesto, CA. She will be transferred via Wigglebutts, arriving to foster care on 04/26/26 and available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.June 13, 2026, 7:15 pm

Story
Animal Profile: Wiley is a 1-year-old male Lab/Husky  X (guessing) who joined us along with his siblings from Texas. The puppies were taken from an overcrowded property by Animal Control and went into foster care with our rescue partner. Wiley is a happy sweet pup, doing well in his foster home, friendly with dogs, and older kids. Foster Update:   Wiley is a smart, fluffy goofball who is both crate trained and house trained. He knows all his basic commands, has an energetic and playful style, and walks nicely on leash. He spent several weeks in the care of a professional trainer, is e-collar trained, and continues to build confidence every day. Wiley has been enjoying the great outdoors of the PNW and has even started going to work with his foster, where he’s meeting lots of new people. He takes some time to warm up but forms strong bonds once he trusts you. Wiley would do best as the only dog in an active home with someone who has breed experience and a securely fenced yard. He is not a good fit for toddlers, though older children with dog experience should be fine. He’s also a bit of a talker, so an apartment setting wouldn’t be ideal. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.  Apply Online: www.DogGoneSeattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog is being transferred from  Animal Advocacy & Rescue our partner in Del Rio Texas and arriving via Byrdie Express to the Seattle area. This dog will be fostered in the greater Seattle area and available for adoption once evaluated in foster care.June 13, 2026, 7:15 pm
