Story
Meet Tori🩵 He came to Korean City Shelter long ago. Initially quite fearful, he blossomed into a sociable and affectionate dog under his foster parent's consistent love. *No separation anxiety. *Housetraining: 100% outdoors. *Energy Level (1~10): Lv. 1 (Lv. 10 on walks) *Takes some time to warm up to other dogs but gradually becomes friendly. *Loves foster fam, especially his foster mom. Grows increasingly affectionate and charming each day. *Expresses dislikes clearly; Tori dislikes being bothered. *Initially timid, Tori transformed into a confident dog with a stable attachment in his foster home. Occasionally stares at the treat box, asking for snacks. *Tear stains reduced significantly with consistent care and love. Any remaining stains can be improved with grooming. *Not interested in toys. *Rarely barks defensively, but vocalizes to express needs or seek attention. *Leash training is excellent; enjoys walks without pulling. *Walks and outdoor bathroom breaks are part of his daily routine. Enjoys digging and concentrating on walks. *Rarely experiences motion sickness; lies down or looks out the window during car rides. *Working hard on learning the command 'hand'! 💙 Health Status: Fed hypoallergenic diet (Dr.HealMedix Weight Control) as a preventive measure. 💙 Foster Instagram: @adogs_tori

Aberdeen Scottish Terrier Rescue is a registered 501(c)3 Web Site: www.aberdeenstr.com ***MUST SUBMIT APPLICATION before we will respond to email or phone inquiries. Thank You for your cooperation*** Please read listings fully to the end before applying for one of our beloved rescues. WE ARE NOT A SHELTER; WE ARE AN ALL-VOLUNTEER RESCUE WITH FULL-TIME JOBS. Please do not contact us to look at a dog. We will contact you once we have reviewed your completed application if we think your home might be a good fit. A reference check, phone interview, and home visit will be completed before meeting an adoptable dog. We work quickly. Please do not submit an application until you are ready to bring a new furry family member home. Expect your references to be contacted shortly after submitting your application. We adopt out to homes in WA state, but require that you are present for the meet and greet in Newcastle, WA. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable. The adoption fee is due on the day of adoption in the form of a check, Zelle, or cash. We no longer accept PayPal because of the percentage they take & their fees. But if the potential adopter is willing to pay them we will accept PayPal. The call was put out for the need from a commercial breeder who needed some dogs gone, at a cost of course in the middle of nowhere. Of course they always want money for the dogs & of course once we know about them we are not leaving them & do what we have to do to help them. But despite where they lived in a shed & were going to be used to make money off their backs, they were still very sweet & friendly. But Kiwi, he was so lovely & grateful to get the hell out of the cage he was caged in 24/7. His life was instantly changing in that moment & only for the better. On this day we rescued Kiwi & his siblings & friends, 10 other innocent souls who would have spent their lives being breeding machines in cages all to make money off their backs. Now the real healing, love & devotion could begin & show Kiwi how he is supposed to be loved & adored in a loving forever home just as he is in his foster home. Kiwi & his friends were bought back to the WA state where he is now so happy to be here & can’t wait to find his new loving devoted forever home. Kiwi lets you pick him up & lets you give him kisses & hugs & enjoys it. This is Kiwi first experience at being in a home, with a tv, bedding he can snuggle up in, a roof over his head that’s not outside. His foster mum said Kiwi is oh so very sweet, playful, & such a good boy. He loves his foster family very much. He is your typical lovable puppy who eats, plays, sleeps eats & poops & the cycle continues. He is just like his brother. He adores comfy beds & big comfy blankets because again the reality is, this is something he did not get to experience ever until he was rescued. He is such a fun puppy who just wants to be loved & to make up for his past once you have built that repour with him. He would still need work walking on his harness & leash because the reality is this is all new to him. He does not discriminate against breeds. He has always been with other dogs & he adores other dogs & they make him feel comfortable & confident. Kiwi rides in the car well & considering the only times we know of was when he went to be sold & when we got him & going home with his foster family & to & from the vets. But now he goes on many outings with his wonderful foster home & his sibling Chippy. He had even gone out on a boat several times & has a little life jacket his foster family bought for him. We are looking for a crate free home for this little lad only. He spent his first part of his life confined for potential breeding. We are also looking for a forever home for Kiwi where someone is home during the day or he can go with his people wherever possibly he can go with them. When they find someone who treats them as they should be treated & loves them they get so attached to them. Kiwi is looking for a forever home who will cherish him & love him as he should be loved & be patient with him & never give up on him. Kiwi has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes in the rescue & in his foster home & he is currently with his sibling & another dog in his foster home & adores other dogs. He absolutely must go to a forever home with a dog or dog’s present in the home. Please do not apply saying your neighbors have a dog or family members or you will take her to places where there are other dogs. That will not work, another dog or dogs is mandatory along with a fully fenced backyard. Kiwi is roughly 4.4 lbs & he is 14 weeks old & possibly a ‭Pomeranian/teddy mix‬. He has put on weight since being in his loving foster home. What he is mixed with we are not sure, male, he will be neutered by laser by our wonderful vets, microchipped, receive his last shots, including DHLPP, Bordatella, rabies & dewormed all under contract with ASTR by 6 months of age. We have spent far more on Kiwi with paying for him from a commercial breeder. Bringing him to WA with his travel/flight costs, his transportation to WA. All of his medical care in WA etc & bringing him to WA then his adoption fee comes close to covering. His adoption fee does not even cover half of what we have spent on Kiwi. Kiwi has not been around cats since being in the rescue, but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together & we have him around small children in his foster home & he does amazing but we do not recommend small children nor cats though & it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children & cats. We were not there when Kiwi was conceived so we do not know who his parents were & it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think his breed is. As with all of our rescues & Kiwi’s friends he will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Kiwi potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond. We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training & not just say they will when applying. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Kiwi & going through our process and have read his listing fully to the end & are wanting to adopt. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on. Or you waste this rescues time, will remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a virtual home visit via WebEx or Zoom due to covid & followed by a meet & greet & if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Kiwi who understands his needs & that meet all the requirements for this special sweet little lad. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives & please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately. Kiwi has an adoption fee of $1650 & is ready for his truly loving forever home & compassion & understanding of what he has been through.

The call was put out for the need from a commercial breeder with health problems who needed her breeding dogs gone, at a cost of course in the middle of nowhere in South Dakota. Of course they always want money for the dogs & of course once we know about them we cannot walk away & leave them there. The house was a run down shack where Johnny Rose & his other breeding friends were living was deplorable. They all stank so badly you wanted to vomit with the smell up to 2 weeks later. We believe it was the smell of the nastiest food coming out of their pores. Non of us could get rid of the smell off them until they had been on our food for roughly 14 days. They were matted, had very long curled nails & were dirty & some even had raging skin infections & raging UTI’s. Not to mention several were pregnant. But despite where they lived & were used to make money off their backs, they were still very sweet & friendly. But Johnny Rose, he was still so playful & so lovely & grateful to get the hell out of the shack he was caged in 24/7 living his life outside in the stinking heat day after day then in the freezing cold in winter time in the shack was over. His life was instantly changing in that moment & only for the better. On this day we rescued a total of 8 breeding poms & shi tzu mum & dads who all they knew was to breed in a life of hell & then being sold. Now the real healing, love & devotion could begin & show Johnny Rose how he is supposed to be loved & adored in a loving forever home. Johnny Rose & his friends were bought back to the WA state where he is now is so happy to be here & can’t wait to find his new loving devoted forever home. Another sweetheart of a fun loving soul. The horror he endured on his little body & mind all to make money off his back is so disgusting. After everything he has been through he is still so fun & oh so spirited. He is beyond grateful to get out of that hell hole he was in & radiates gratitude. Johnny Rose’s foster mum said he is a cheeky little bugger, he wants her attention sometimes & can be demanding but he is so very spirited & loves his dog friends. He lets you pick him up & lets you give him kisses & hugs. The reality is, the foster homes are his real first experience at being in a home, with a tv, bedding he can snuggle up in, a roof over his head that’s not outside. At first with his food in his foster home he wasn’t motivated, probably because he was so confused with his new life & was so used to eating the cheapest grade food. But once he got a taste of the homemade food, it was all over & he woofed it down. He is such a good boy & he gets comfortable & he is so easy & so sweet. He deserves the very best home. His foster mum said he taught himself to go up & down the stairs. Fun, fun fun is a great way to describe his personality. He is good with his baths & being dried by the hairdryer but wonders what is happening? He adores comfy beds & big comfy blankets because again the reality is, this is something he did not get to experience ever until he was rescued. He is such a lovely little lad who just wants to be loved & to make up for his past. But once he got a taste of the homemade food, it was all over & he woofed it down. In his second foster home he is eating kibble & wet food. Both foster homes said the same thing. He is such a good boy & he gets comfortable & he is so easy & so sweet. He deserves the very best home. He is good with his baths & being dried by the hairdryer but wonders what is happening? He adores comfy beds & big comfy blankets because again the reality is, this is something he did not get to experience ever until he was rescued. Did we mention this boy loves a good outfit, well he does. He is so amazing at taking his seizure meds but can be a big cheeky sometimes & spit them out. He is such a lovely little lad who just wants to be loved & to make up for his past. He would still need work walking on his d harness & leash but since being with us he has learnt so quickly & enjoys going on walks but it’s all completely new to him considering he was never ever taught until coming into the rescue. He does not discriminate against breeds. He adores going outside & having a wander around & sitting in the backyard. He has always been with other dogs & adores other dogs & must have other dog friends in the home. Parti rides beautifully in the car & considering the only times we know of was when he went to auction to be sold & when we got him & going home with his foster family’s & back & forth to the vets & now on his adventures, he has done so amazing in the car. We are looking for a crate free home for this little lad only. He spent his whole life confined for breeding. Parti as you can imagine spent such a long time in a caged environment. We are also looking for a forever home for Parti where someone is home during the day or he can go with his people wherever possibly he can go with them. When they find someone who treats them as they should be treated & loves them they get so attached to them. Parti is looking for a forever home who will cherish him & love him as he should be loved & be patient with him & never give up on him. We have spent over $4000 on Parti. Parti has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes in the rescue & in his foster homes & he is currently with other dogs & adores other dogs, so he must go to a home with other dogs present in the home. A fully fenced backyard is mandatory in a house. Parti is roughly 8.8 lbs & he is 3 years old. He has put on weight since being in his foster homes. He is a pomeranian, what he is mixed with we are not sure, male, he is neutered by laser by our wonderful vets. He is microchipped, he had gum surgery & had a dental scale & polish along with dental x-rays. He had 3 incisor minors, 1 premolar & 1 incisor intermediate removed. He has a grade 2 heart murmur. Was treated for vomiting & diarrhea while at our vets. He ended up having 3 focal seizures & had to be rushed to the emergency hospital where he is now on seizure meds 3 x times a day which he would come with. He has not had a seizure again since that day. to He is up to date on his shots, including DHLPP, Bordatella, CIV, rabies & dewormed. We have spent far more on Parti with paying for him from a commercial breeder in South Dakota. Bringing him to WA with his travel/flight costs, his transportation to WA. All of his medical care, his emergency hospital stay in WA etc & bringing him to WA than his adoption fee comes close to covering. His adoption fee does not even cover half of what we have spent on Parti. Parti has not been around cats since being in the rescue, but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together & we have not had him around small children so we do not recommend small children nor cats though & it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children & cats. We were not there when Parti was conceived so we do not know who her parents were & it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think his breed is. As with all of our rescues & Parti’s friends he will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Parti potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond. We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training & not just say they will when applying. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Parti & going through our process and have read his listing fully to the end & are wanting to adopt. We will only be accepting applications for Parti who understands his needs & that meet all the requirements for this special sweet little lad. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives & please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately. Parti has an adoption fee of $1250 & is ready for his truly loving forever home & compassion & understanding of what he has been through.
