Story
Max is a sensitive, low-key guy who wants a calm home and a person he can bond with deeply. He’s not a social dog and doesn’t enjoy busy environments, high activity, or a lot of new interactions — he’s happiest with his person, his routines, and a peaceful space where he can just exist comfortably. Max would prefer to be the only dog in the home, soaking up all the love and attention for himself. But in his current foster home, he has been learning how to live with other dogs and is becoming increasingly respectful. His quick or unexpected movements can make other dogs unsure of him, but he truly just wants calm, predictable companionship and a comfy place to sleep. Max is crate trained, potty trained, and enjoys walks, though he takes the world in at his own pace. In the car, he rides best when he’s in a kennel — otherwise he likes to wander the cabin, which isn’t ideal for safety. Give him a secure spot, and he settles in just fine. His foster describes him as sweet, goofy, and incredibly loyal. He loves quiet couch time, bedtime snuggles, and being close to his person without any pressure to be “on.” If you’re looking for a gentle, devoted companion who wants nothing more than a calm home and a loving “boy mom,” Max may be the perfect match.

Meet Frankie! 🐾 Frankie is a resilient one-eyed pup with a big scar on his leg, but his spirit is bigger than ever! He’s slowly warming up to affection, loves his crate, and is starting to wag his tail for pets and treats. Frankie is very independent around other dogs and is a true escape artist—he can clear a 3.5 ft fence with ease! Despite his rough start, he’s goofy, sweet, and full of personality, just waiting for the right home to give him love and patience.

Story
Meet Rocco — Your New Best Friend (and Professional Goofball)! 🎉 If you’re looking for a happy, playful, snuggly pup with a big personality and an even bigger heart, Rocco is your guy! This sweet boy is equal parts cuddle buddy and playtime pro, and he’s always ready to bring the fun. Rocco loves walks, naps, play sessions with dog friends, and treats (especially treats). He’s fully housetrained, walks calmly and confidently on leash, and does great out and about—dog parks included! Car rides? He’s excited and curious, ready for his next adventure. At home, Rocco is an affection machine. He seeks out pets, leans in for cuddles, and is happiest when he’s close to his people. He’s also great with kids and enjoys gentle, positive attention. Crates aren’t really his thing, but he does just fine using a baby gate and settles in nicely. Rocco would love a home with another playful dog around his age—he enjoys having a buddy to romp around with. He’s had a bit of goofy humping behavior in the past, but that has already improved with time and structure. Like many dogs, Rocco has a few quirks that make him uniquely him. He may bark when someone knocks or when he hears activity outside (he takes his neighborhood watch duties seriously), and he has some food guarding, so being fed separately and having a confident, dog-savvy adopter will help him shine. ✨ Rocco’s highlights: 🐾 Good with dogs 🏡 Housetrained 🧡 Super affectionate & snuggly 🎾 Playful, goofy, and fun 🚶 Calm on leash & loves walks 🗣️ Chatty, communicative, and full of personality If you want a dog who will make you laugh, keep you company, and happily curl up beside you after a day of play, Rocco is ready to be your forever plus-one. Come meet him—you might just fall in love 💙🐾

Story
Meet Buddy 💙 — gentle, sweet, and learning what “safe” feels like. Buddy didn’t have an easy start. He was found on the freeway, underweight and overwhelmed, but somehow he’s still one of the softest, kindest souls you’ll ever meet. This shy, submissive boy is incredibly people-oriented and finds comfort in calm, quiet spaces. He loves being near his humans — not demanding attention, just happy to exist beside you while he soaks in the peace. His affection is subtle, tender, and incredibly endearing. Buddy is working on gaining weight and is doing great with several small meals throughout the day. As he gets stronger, his confidence is slowly growing too. He’s curious, gentle, and quietly resilient. He does very well in his crate and sees it as a safe place. He’s mostly potty trained, with a little marking that’s expected to improve once he’s neutered. Buddy walks nicely on leash, manages stairs easily, and rides calmly in the car. With other dogs, Buddy is polite and cautious — friendly but respectful, especially around bigger or more confident pups. Because of everything he’s been through, he’d do best in a calm adult-only home or a home with older, gentle children, where he can continue to heal at his own pace. Buddy isn’t looking for chaos or excitement. He’s looking for kindness, patience, and a soft place to land. In return, he’ll give you quiet companionship, unwavering loyalty, and the kind of love that grows deeper every day. If you believe the gentlest hearts deserve the safest homes, Buddy may be the one you’ve been waiting for.

Story
Meet Betty — 12 Years Young and Ready for Love 💛 Betty is a gentle senior sweetheart who somehow missed out on the soft landing every dog deserves… until now. Found as a stray and almost overlooked simply because of her age, Betty is proof that love doesn’t expire — it just gets sweeter. She’s not here for long walks or wild adventures. Betty’s ideal day looks more like slow strolls, cozy naps, and resting her head on your lap while you go about your day. Stairs are tough for her, and she can’t walk far, but what she can do is love deeply, quietly, and wholeheartedly. Betty is affectionate in the purest way. She wants to be close, to lean on you, to follow you from room to room just to make sure you’re still there. She might let out a little cry when you leave her sight — or a signature “woooo” when she’s excited — but she settles quickly and sleeps peacefully through the night. She just finds comfort in knowing she’s not alone. She’s calm with other dogs, gentle with cats, easy on leash, and free of any aggressive or guarding behaviors. House training is mostly there, though she can’t hold it long — a small trade-off for a senior who has so much love left to give. Betty doesn’t need perfection. She needs patience, softness, and someone who understands that older dogs love just as hard — sometimes harder. If you’ve ever thought about opening your heart to a senior, Betty is the kind of dog who will change you forever. Give Betty the ending she’s been waiting 12 years for. 💛🐾

Story
Meet Wilma — lovingly known as “Pugcakes” 💕 Wilma didn’t come to us with a collar, a microchip, or a clue as to where she belonged. She was found quietly walking down the middle of the road, as if she was simply hoping someone would notice her. And someone did. Her finders searched everywhere — community pages, door-to-door, flyers, shelter listings — but no one ever came for her. What they did find was something very special. Wilma is a senior pug, estimated to be around 11 years old, with the softest soul and the gentlest presence. She appears to be deaf and may have a cataract in one eye, but none of that dims her ability to love deeply. She has a slight limp, likely from arthritis or long-overgrown nails, and she’ll need a good nail trim — but otherwise, she’s in overall good health. This sweet girl is potty trained (even doggy-door trained!), crate trained, calm in the car, relaxed on leash, and able to manage stairs. She is affectionate without being demanding, social without being overwhelming. Wilma seeks closeness — she’ll curl up beside you on the floor, snooze happily nearby, or settle into a cozy spot on the couch or bed. We believe she may have had a senior owner before, because she clearly finds comfort in simply being near her person. Wilma is wonderful with kids, patient and gentle, and she coexists beautifully with dogs and cats alike. She shows no signs of resource guarding, reactivity, or separation anxiety. She’s easy, kind, and steady — the kind of dog who quietly makes a house feel like home. While she sleeps a lot (as good seniors should), she still lights up when it’s time to eat, reminding us that joy doesn’t fade with age. Wilma deserves a soft place to land, a calm home, and someone who will cherish her golden years the way she so clearly cherishes her people. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will love you quietly, deeply, and wholeheartedly — Wilma is waiting.
