Story
Greetings from doggy land.....My name is Stuart and I have been patiently waiting for my forever home... Is it with you?  After my owner couldn’t take care of me any longer, I was lucky to land safely in a wonderful foster home that has given me lots of love and confidence. Now I am asking YOU to step up and make my life complete by making me a true family member again! As a 13 lbs., 8-year-old Chug, I am a long-legged guy with great house manners, enjoy car rides and simply adore morning walks! Bring the harness out and I am ready to go!  I'm quite athletic, love to run and explore so I definitely need a secure, fenced yard. I am a cuddle-bug and would love to be your new best friend.  Although I interact well with the other small dogs in my foster home, I secretly wish to be your one and only pup... I deserve all the love, right? I come with a clean bill of health:  neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and had a doggy dental not long ago.  I'm a charmer... pick me! Stuart's adoption fee of $350 helps the Rescue with medical expenses of more dogs in need. If you live in the Phoenix metro area and think he could be the right fit for you, please complete an adoption application*:   helpadogsmile.org/adoption-application.   *Please note that the application is not a commitment to adopt–it is a tool used to help determine if a dog and applicant would make a good match. Applications are forwarded to the foster family for review and follow-up.     .  October 18, 2025, 5:22 pm

Story
Meet Paisley, the 9 lb pocket rocket with a BIG personality! 🐾💥 This pug mix is a firecracker, full of playful energy and a dash of sass. She's a boss lady who knows what she wants, and what she wants is a home with a young female equivalent size dog friend to play with. If you've got a big dog, that's okay, but they need to be willing to leave her alone - this little one doesn't do well with big bullies. Paisley hates being confined, so a home with plenty of space inside and out to roam is a must. But don't worry, she's happy to snuggle up beside you on the couch or in bed (as long as you're not squishing her, please!). This little lovebug LOVES giving kisses and playing with toys. She's a pro at making you laugh and stealing hearts. If you're looking for a loyal companion who will be your funny, bossy girl, Paisley is your one! Come meet this little diva and see if she's the perfect fit for your family! Apply at azdawgz.org

🐾 Meet Moo — the Sweetest Little Sidekick Around! 🐾
10 months • Male • Neutered • Pug Chi Mix If you’re looking for a gentle, people-loving pup who just wants to be someone’s loyal shadow, Moo might be your perfect match. This adorable pup is curious, affectionate, and happiest when he’s close to his humans. 💛 Personality Moo is a sweet, people-oriented little guy with a soft, affectionate nature. He’s still very puppy-like emotionally, eager to bond, eager to learn, and eager to be included. He can get a bit overwhelmed in busy environments, so he’s searching for a home that’s calm, predictable, and patient as he continues growing into the amazing companion he’s meant to be. 🐶 With Other Pets • Dogs: Great with small dogs! Moo is submissive, playful, and loves gentle roughhousing with doggy friends his size. • Cats: Curious • Kids: Wonderful with respectful older kiddos (ages 9–12). He’s gentle, tolerant, and loves being part of the family. 🚶‍♂️ Training & Home Life • Crate: Settles nicely, but may bark if crated while people are home • Housebreaking: About 75% there — he does best with a consistent potty schedule • Leash: Walks fine but prefers shorter strolls • Noise: May bark at unfamiliar sounds or when anxious • Stimulation: Can get overstimulated with lots of activity, so a quieter home is ideal 🎉 Moo’s Favorite Things • Playing with small dogs • Chew toys & his beloved big Nylabones • His snuggle blanket • Car rides • Lounging on the couch or bed 🏡 Why He’s Looking for a New Start Moo is a genuinely wonderful dog who has struggled with the fast pace of his current home. Too much activity makes him anxious, which affects his barking and housebreaking. His family loves him dearly but knows he’ll thrive in a calmer, lower-activity home with someone who can offer structure, consistency, and a reassuring environment. 💕 Ideal Home A quieter household, maybe with another small, friendly dog, and someone who enjoys a cuddly little sidekick. If you’re patient, loving, and ready to help Moo continue building confidence, he’ll reward you with endless affection and loyalty. If Moo sounds like your kind of buddy, apply now on azdawgz.org — he’s ready to meet his new best friend. 🐾💛

Story
Max is a sensitive, low-key guy who wants a calm home and a person he can bond with deeply. He’s not a social dog and doesn’t enjoy busy environments, high activity, or a lot of new interactions — he’s happiest with his person, his routines, and a peaceful space where he can just exist comfortably. Max would prefer to be the only dog in the home, soaking up all the love and attention for himself. But in his current foster home, he has been learning how to live with other dogs and is becoming increasingly respectful. His quick or unexpected movements can make other dogs unsure of him, but he truly just wants calm, predictable companionship and a comfy place to sleep. Max is crate trained, potty trained, and enjoys walks, though he takes the world in at his own pace. In the car, he rides best when he’s in a kennel — otherwise he likes to wander the cabin, which isn’t ideal for safety. Give him a secure spot, and he settles in just fine. His foster describes him as sweet, goofy, and incredibly loyal. He loves quiet couch time, bedtime snuggles, and being close to his person without any pressure to be “on.” If you’re looking for a gentle, devoted companion who wants nothing more than a calm home and a loving “boy mom,” Max may be the perfect match.
