Meet Rocky—the tiniest little shadow with a talent for making everyone fall in love. 💕 Rocky came to us as a stray, so we’re estimating he’s about 8 years old. At just 12 pounds, this little guy doesn’t take up much space, but he’s already claimed a whole lot of hearts. Everyone who meets him is immediately smitten. Rocky is learning how sweet life can be when you get to be someone’s beloved dog. He doesn’t seem used to being allowed on furniture, so he’s figuring out how to use the steps to the couch and discovering that he’s welcome to join his people. At bedtime, he’ll stand up to let you know he’d like an invitation for nighttime snuggles. How could you possibly say no to that? He’s a little shadow who likes to stay close. Rocky is kennel trained, but he’d much rather sleep near you. He’s also neutered, housetrained, and knows how to use a doggy door, though he does occasionally mark. Now, a little warning: Rocky is a catfish. 😂 His photos don’t really capture what he looks like in person, so you’ll need to meet him to fully appreciate this tiny heart-stealer. Meet Edward, a 6–7-year-old pug who likes his walks with a side of zoomies and his naps with a side of you. Edward has a jet-black coat, a dusting of white on his face, and a playful streak. He loves getting outside, walks nicely on leash, and has a blast zooming around with his foster dog friend. Once he comes inside, he’s ready to snuggle. If he can tuck himself against your leg and sneak in a few little kisses, he’s right where he wants to be. Edward is house-trained in his foster home and sleeps through the night in his crate. He marked a couple of times when he first arrived and has settled into his routine since then. He also likes to announce breakfast and dinner while his foster scoops the food. He takes mealtime enthusiasm seriously. Edward enjoys other dogs, and his foster thinks he’d be happiest with one compatible dog sibling or as the only dog in a home where he gets plenty of company. He sometimes tries to squeeze in when another dog is getting attention. He’s curious about the resident cat, so a slow introduction would be best in a home with cats. Rosie is about 5 years old and a sweetheart with the cutest face, beautiful wrinkles, and a playful personality that’s blossoming as she gains confidence. She’s becoming more comfortable in her foster home and has even started snuggling—a sweet glimpse of the affectionate girl behind her shy beginnings! Rosie can still be timid around new adults and may startle at loud noises or sudden movements. She’s more hesitant around some men, but she has also done well with men in another foster home. A little patience and the freedom to approach on her own help her feel safe and build trust. One thing that really brings Rosie out of her shell is children! She loves playing with them and following along with their fun. After seeing how well she’s done with kids in another foster home, we think she could do well with children of any age, with gentle interactions and supervision to help everyone feel comfortable. Rosie has also gotten along well with dogs and cats! She enjoys chewing on toys, watching the activity around her, and joining in when she feels ready. Having friendly animal companions could be a lovely addition to her forever home. She’s working on potty training and does well with regular trips outside, though she’s still having accidents. Rosie is also learning to walk on a leash and does best when she can explore at her own pace. She sleeps through the night in her kennel, although she may whine a little before settling down. Meet Dutch, a 6-year-old pug with big zoomies and an even bigger soft spot for snuggles. Dutch is the kind of dog who makes himself at home right away. He’s outgoing, confident, and happy to meet new people. He loves following his foster around, handing out kisses, and curling up for a nap after a walk. At bedtime, he’ll sleep through the night in his kennel or join the dog pile in bed. Either way, expect a little snoring. Dutch enjoys walks, sniffing around the park, and doing zoomies with his foster dog friends. He’s usually relaxed on leash in quieter places and can pull when there’s a lot going on. With exercise and enrichment, he’s happy to settle in for a nap and has done well home alone for up to six hours in foster care. His foster reports that he’s friendly with kids and other dogs. Dutch needed a slow introduction to the resident cat and now generally ignores them. He’s occasionally guarded his food from other dogs while eating in his kennel, so in a multi-dog home, he’ll need a private space to eat. Dutch goes potty outside and can learn to use a doggy door. He still occasionally marks indoors or mounts other dogs, and he’s working on his basic cues. A predictable routine and patient, reward-based training will help him settle in and keep making progress. Dutch would love a family that enjoys getting out for walks and coming home for couch time.
