Leo & Oatmeal – Bonded Besties Looking for Their Forever Home (Together!)   Leo and Oatmeal are a very special bonded pair who are ready to find their forever home — together. These two share a deep connection and rely on one another for comfort, confidence, and security. Where one goes, the other follows    Because of their strong bond, Leo and Oatmeal would do best as the only dogs in the home. While they can get along with other dogs, they are very protective of each other, and we believe they will be happiest and most relaxed in a home where they can enjoy life as a duo.   They would do best in a home with older children. Leo absolutely loves his toys and happily takes playtime very seriously — especially when it comes to balls and his favorite toys. He can be very focused on his play, so it’s important that children in the home understand and respect his love of toys and give him space during playtime. In the right environment, his playful spirit truly shines.    Their details:   Bonded pair – must be adopted together Best in a home with older children Prefer to be the only dogs Spayed & neutered Up-to-date on vaccines Microchipped Ready for their forever home     Leo and Oatmeal are looking for a family who understands the beauty of bonded pairs and is willing to welcome both of them into their hearts and home. If you’re looking for double the love, companionship, and loyalty, this sweet duo may be exactly who you’ve been waiting for.    To apply to adopt Leo & Oatmeal, please visit: www.kpprescue.com        If you’re ready for double the snorts, double the cuddles, and double the love, Leo and Oatmeal are waiting for you. ##2623515##

Story
Meet Junior! The little pup with a BiG  Heart!   Junior may be small, but his heart is huge! This adorable 3-year-old Pug-Chihuahua mix 17 pound might be a little shy at first, but once he trusts you, he’ll be your most loyal shadow. He lives for attention—especially when it comes in the form of belly rubs and doggy massages!   His absolute favorite thing? Squeaky toys! You’ll see his eyes light up as he pounces and plays, bringing endless joy to your home. Junior gets along well with other dogs and is working hard on his potty training—he just needs a patient family to help him along the way.   More than anything, Junior dreams of a family to love him forever. Could you be the one to make his dream come true? ##1864203##

Story
I adopted miso from a shelter in 2022, not much was known about her but I fell in love. She’s very hyper and energetic and would get along with someone who loves to go on walks with her. She gets along well with other dogs and she’s super social. She’s completely potty trained and she knows how to sit and will only eat after she’s sat and gets the okay. She loves food, toys and playing. She does have a bad habit of biting your fingers sometimes but if you redirect her to a toy she’ll stop. It breaks my heart having to rehome her but ever since I moved back to my parents house and started a new job I have no time to give her the love she deserves. All I want is to find a loving home for her.

Story
This is a story that will tug at your heart. Hi. It’s me. Ava. Yes, I have the little squishy pug face. Yes, I am a middle aged lady. Yes, I am soft in every possible way. They found me wandering around Calumet City. Just out there. Alone. I am a tiny girl and the world is big. Bigger when you cannot see it very well. We think I am blind. Or close to it. What I know for sure is that I navigate with my heart. The shelter was not the place for a girl like me. Too loud. Too fast. Too much. The rescue stepped in because no one wanted me trying to survive like that. I am not a high-maintenance diva. I am a calm, docile, snuggly little lady. I move slowly. I listen carefully. I memorize the shape of a room. Once I learn it, I am good. I will toddle around like I own the place. What I really want is a person. Someone patient. Someone steady. Someone kind. Someone who does not mind being my eyes. I will follow your voice. I will lean into your legs. I will curl into you like I have known you forever. I am the kind of dog who bonds deep. Not flashy. Not chaotic. Just loyal. Devoted. Yours. If your home is quiet and your heart is open, I think we might fit together perfectly. I am probably fine with dogs, cats and kids, but since I want a quiet home, I am going to try to be your solo love bug for now. Is that okay? Come be my world. I promise I will make you mine. Update - 03/19/2026:She is an attention seeker. She hears a voice and she jumps up to find you. LOVES FOOD. she does not like it if you take too long to get her bowl ready. She has started doing a low grumbling bark when she thinks your taking to long. Loves to cuddle and be close to her people. Can this girl get any cuter? We can't imagine what she went through when she faced uncertainty and is blind. Our hearts broke. We had to keep her safe and give her a chance at finding a loving home. Will you foster or adopt her? Please apply. She needs your love and care. ##2666687##

Story
My husband's dog, Xena, has been a part of our family since he adopted her from a private party when she was a year old. She's a playful yet calm dog who gets excited when food is being prepared or when she encounters strangers. Xena loves playing with her toys and enjoys going for rides. She's an affectionate dog who gets along well with both kids and adults. As an indoor dog, Xena has a comfortable life, and her diet consists of Chewy brand canned food, although she's not picky and enjoys other foods too. A groomer visits her once a month to keep her well-groomed. Unfortunately, my husband passed away this year, and I'm facing medical issues, making it challenging for me to care for Xena.

Xena is a lovable dog, like play and sleep after meals . She is quiet & calm but barks when hears a noise or see strangers army home . She is an indoor dog , pees and poo outside when she gets up in the morning and expects treats after otherwise she will bark. She plays with her fav toys and know where to find her toys. She does not bite, likes to sleep in her bed not necessarily to have a linen or blanket but she makes her own bed if you place a blankly and she makes sure she gets comfortable before she sleeps. People loves her bec she is adorable . She likes everyone she meets however she barks at the first meeting with a stranger. Patting make her comfortable and trustful and she does not have a smell.
