His giggles (yes, he basically giggles) will fill your home, and before you know it, you'll realize - he's not just part of your life; he owns your heart. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Apollo - The One-Defensive, Now-Doting Uncle Apollo's journey to OURS wasn't exactly smooth. This one-year old pug mix found himself at the shelter, where he was immediately met with what he considered a very rude introduction - vaccinations. We humans know they're necessary, but Apollo wasn't shy about expressing his strong disapproval. His honesty landed him a "rescue only" label, and just like that, he was on borrowed time. Enter OURS. Understandably, Apollo was a little unsure at first. But then - almost overnight - he realized life with us wasn't so bad. In fact, it was pretty great. He's since taken on the role of "Uncle Apollo" to a crew of bottle-fed pug puppies and rambunctious terrier pups, and let us tell you - watching this once-defensive little guy get climbed on and loved by his tiny nieces and nephews is nothing short of heart-melting. Apollo takes a minute to warm up to new people. He might bark at first, but we like to think he's just telling you his story. And once he's shared his tale and decides you're part of it? He's the sweetest, most loyal kiddo around. Apollo is looking for a family who understands that trust takes a moment, but love lasts forever. Could that be you? Apply here to meet Apollo!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 12, 2025, 11:48 pm

Story
Meet Tilly – The Little Dog with a Big Personality! Tilly is a one-year-old pug mix with a heart as big as the oversized toys he loves to carry around. This fun-loving, mischievous little guy has never met a stranger—he greets everyone like an old friend and charms his way into every lap he can find. Tilly’s journey to Southpaw Rescue began when a kind-hearted Good Samaritan found him malnourished on the streets. The moment she stopped to help, he leaped into her arms as if he knew he was finally safe. Now, Tilly is thriving in rescue, filling every day with play, snuggles, and endless joy. This social butterfly adores other dogs, both big and small, and would love a home with a canine sibling to romp around with. He’s also fantastic with children, making him the perfect family companion. Tilly is a true adventurer—always up for a walk, always eager to make new friends, and always determined to claim the biggest toy he can find (even if it barely fits in his mouth). His favorite quirk? Carrying his own leash around the house like a prized possession, proudly dragging it along as if he’s getting ready for an adventure. When he’s not busy playing, Tilly is an expert cuddler, happiest when curled up beside his favorite humans. He’s already neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. Now, all he needs is a forever home filled with love, laughter, and maybe just a few more giant toys! Are you ready to welcome this big-hearted pup into your life? Come meet Tilly today—he’s ready to steal your heart! https://www.southpawrescue.com/adoption-application
