Story
A FRIENDLY & ADORABLE GUY:  Approx. 10 years old / Approx. 20 lbs.  Hi, my name is Tex!  I had a home, as I was adopted from Mostly Mutts a few years ago.  Unfortunately, my family fell on hard times, so I am back with Mostly Mutts looking for a new family to love!  Though I’m not the best at smiling for the camera and my pictures may make me look a little grumpy, I am NOT a grumpy boy, but rather friendly and adorable! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I like the older dog in my foster home, and the 2 younger and smaller dogs I met recently too!  I do growl at the mostly blind dog when he bumps into me or approaches me in my dog bed, so my foster corrects that behavior and I try to listen, but I don’t love being bumped by him.  I do nap with him at times though.   I met a puppy too that invaded my personal space and I barked at her to let her know this, though I was tolerant.  So, if you have another dog, let’s meet!  / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet, but I am working on my ‘happy to see you’ jumping, so my foster recommends no very young kids that I may bump over and let’s meet!   • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  When asked, the volunteers at the shelter describe me with one main word – sweet, sweet, sweet!  I was always excited to see them, since I am very much a people dog.  I seek out attention whenever I can and have been very friendly.  When guests leave my foster home, I may tug at their pants as if to stay, ‘no wait, don’t go’! My foster has started picking me up to watch guests leave as it keeps me calm.  I am a ‘wonderful gentleman’ just looking for a family to love and be loved by!  In my foster home, they say that I’m a sweet, friendly, gentle, and a mannerly gentleman too! / My energy level is 3-5. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I know the ‘sit’ command and have shown great leash manners.  I bet you can teach me even more!  I take treats gently too. I consider it my job to be an alert barker like when a delivery person pulls up or a squirrel runs by, and sometimes I bark with the other dogs.  I think I may bark a bit too much at all the noises that are in an apartment building, so probably best no apartment/condo type home.  / I don’t need a crate in my foster home. / I had a few accidents on the shelter schedule but am doing well in my foster home as long as I’m taken out often enough.  My foster has pee pads for her own dog that I’ve learned to potty on, if I need to go and can’t get outside, so you may want to consider having those for me too. • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I thrive on attention and love being with people!  Scratches and head kisses make me happy, and I enjoy sitting next to my foster family, but not really in their laps.   I’m not a big fan of toys, but I sure would be a fan of being your loving companion! / Though I ride very well in the car, my foster doesn’t think that I love to do that.  I can’t think of any real dislikes, though I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. I had a dental cleaning, so my mouth is clean again. Since I’m an older fellow, I take an over-the-counter Cosequin supplement that’s good for all older dogs.  I am looking for a loving home with a wonderful family!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  April 29, 2024, 6:42 am

Story
Once upon a time there was a precious little girl that wound up on a highway, she was hit by a car and sat in the pouring rain on the yellow lines in the middle of the road with her left back leg dangling into the oncoming traffic because it was so severely busted up and she was in to much pain, stunned & to scared and too cold to move as oncoming vehicles sped around her without stopping, until finally a good hearted young man stopped and pulled her out of the rain. As he took her to the emergency hospital to try and get her help, the rain stopped and a rainbow appeared -so that was what he called her, and it was a perfect name for a sweet girl whose personality is so happy and rosy that all she wants to do is love/kiss everyone she meets. Her personality is so rosy that we added that to her name (Rainbow Rosie). Not only would Rainbow Rosie make a loving family member, but she would also (with a trainer to help her learn how to settle since she is SOOO excited to meet new people) make an amazing therapy/emotional support dog for children in hospitals, veterans, or anyone in need to help them realize that there is always more to life after a tragedy. Rainbow Rosie is a 5 year old (approx) female American Bully mix (she's an outstanding ambassador for this breed) and she is completely healed/vetted and ready for a her next adventure with a loving family. Story
Mike Wazowski!! Mike is a 5 year old Boston Terrier who LOVES to be by his people! He weighs 20 pounds. Mike came to us after being bit by another dog and loosing his eye. Not that that slows him down one bit! He loves to play, run around, and snuggle. In fact, he knows that he deserves to be snuggled up in bed with his foster family at night! We think that he will do well with older kids. He has not been around toddlers for us to see if he is good with little kids. He LOVES food!! Like anywhere his food is, he has happy to be! Here is the catch. Mike would prefer to be an only dog. Sometimes he is ok with the other dogs, but most of the time he would like to be the boss. So we are looking for an only dog home for him He is still working on housetraining and getting use to the cat. He thinks that chasing the cat is a lot of fun! Mike weighs 20 pounds and is full grown. He is a very active and goofy boy! If you are interested in adopting Mike Wazowski, please fill out an application at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FAY-A-7426 **Applications can take anywhere from 5-7 business days to complete.
