Meet Twix: Toddler Energy. Professional Lap Occupier. This cat is located at The Humane Society and SPCA of Clayton County Inc. They are a subsidiary of Street Paws.  Twix is a female pug mix with the energy of a toddler, the confidence of a celebrity, and one very important request: all eyes on her, please! Twix was surrendered when her human could no longer care for her. Now she’s looking for a new beginning with someone who will embrace her affectionate nature, enjoy her entertaining personality, and keep up with her busy little agenda. ❤️ This girl is full of personality and wonderfully entertaining antics. She’ll even hop onto the table to make sure everyone in the room notices her. In Twix’s world, being the center of attention is practically a full-time job—and she takes her work seriously! Her enthusiastic greetings include gentle jumps, and the moment you sit down, your lap becomes her assigned seat. Personal space is a concept Twix sees very little reason to explore when she could be sitting right on you. But don’t let her love of laps fool you—this girl has plenty of energy! Twix needs people who look forward to playtime, activity, and an affectionate dog who wants to be involved. Anyone hoping for a couch potato should know that her snuggles come with a generous side of toddler antics. She’ll also need patient, consistent guidance to help her learn that she can get plenty of attention with all four paws on the floor. Bring your sense of humor, make time for play, and save her a spot in your lap—Twix is ready to make life a whole lot sweeter!   Adoptions are generally limited to an approximately 150-mile radius of Jonesboro, Georgia. Exceptions may be considered under certain circumstances. To apply to adopt, please complete our Preliminary Adoption Application. Submitting an application does not commit you to adopting. It allows us to determine whether the pet is a good match for your home and family. As part of the approval process, we verify the veterinary history of current and previous pets, including annual vaccinations and spay/neuter status. Please contact your veterinarian in advance and authorize them to release this information to Clayton County Humane Society. Dog adoption fees range from $250 to $400. Each dog receives: Age-appropriate vaccinations Spay or neuter surgery Heartworm testing and treatment, if necessary Deworming Flea prevention A microchip registered to the adopter You must have an approved application before scheduling a meeting with a pet. Meet Auggie Auggie is seeking a local, adult only home with a fenced yard and a similarly sized playmate! Auggie is an adorable 6.5 yr old, 15 lb Pug/Chihuahua mix who was picked up a stray and never reclaimed. He was highly stressed in the shelter and we didn’t hesitate to pull him when his time was up. Auggie is a sweet silly boy, a definite lap dog and does expect full furniture privileges. He loves toys! He enjoys going for walks and rides in the car. Auggie loves to play with other similar sized energetic dogs but is intimidated by bigger dogs. He is looking for a home with another small dog and will not be placed in a home with big dogs! . Older dogs may not appreciate his enthusiasm. He does okay with a dog savvy cat but for cats not used to dogs he would not be a good fit. Auggie is a resource guarder and because of this he will not be placed in a home with children. He has super sensitive hearing and will protect you from the UPS truck so apartment living is not in his future! Auggie is crate trained and housetrained. He is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, HW tested negative and on prevention. He does need to lose a couple pounds. Auggie has been in foster care for quite some time now and we really dont know why - we know the perfect home is out there somewhere! LOCAL INQUIRIES ONLY PLEASE

Freya is the daughter of Gypsy & is bonded with her. This sweet bonded pair loves nothing more than hanging out together. Most days, you’ll find them lounging on their dog beds in the office, hoarding toys, sunbathing, or exploring the yard. They are just the sweetest girls. They will occasionally bark at me when they get excited for their dinner or when I first come home. It is excitement. Freya is Gypsy’s biological daughter. They’re also on Simparica Trio, which works best for them since Gypsy has a flea allergy. Gypsy does have a cherry eye—our vet says it isn’t painful and doesn’t require surgery unless it worsens. They’re housebroken as long as they’re let out on a regular schedule. At night, they sleep peacefully on their beds. While they’re reliable, they may occasionally use a puppy pad if one is available in the home.

A SUPER SWEET GIRL: Approx. 6 years old / Approx. 13 lbs. Hi, my name's Lorraine! I came to Mostly Mutts when I needed a new home and I sure am enjoying the love and attention from the volunteers here and can't wait to soak up all the love that awaits me in my new home!    • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I recently met some dogs at Mostly Mutts and didn't seem interested in meeting them—though I showed no aggression, so if you have a nice dog at home already, let's meet and see if we can be pals! / Cats unknown. / I haven't met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let's meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over or that may fall on me. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: The volunteers say I'm the sweetest little cuddle bug, and all I really want is to be close to my people! I was a little unsure of the bath sprayer, so I liked to hold onto my bather's arm during my bath, but once I was wrapped up in a towel, I was happy to be held and showered my bather with kisses and tail wags. I have the happiest full-body wags and so much love to give that it's hard not to keep cuddling me! I'm curious and ready to explore the world, especially on walks. / Energy level: 4-6.       • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I'm in the Mostly Mutts University training program and have already mastered the ‘sit’  command. I look forward to learning more. Let's continue my training together with the free lifetime training classes that Mostly Mutts offers for all their adopted dogs. / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts. / My potty manners have been pretty good on the shelter schedule, so hopefully that will be the case in my new home too.     • LIKES/DISLIKES: Spending time with my people is just the best! After a fun walk or play session, I love nothing more than to curl up in a lap on the bench outside the shelter for lots of pets and affection. I'm a loving, sweet girl who thinks kisses, cuddles, and being close to my favorite people are the very best things in the world! / I can’t think of any dislikes, though I'm sure I wouldn't like it if I didn't get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL: I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. I have moderate tartar on my teeth, so my adoptive family should consult with their vet and consider a dental cleaning in the future. I take an inexpensive over the counter Cosequin chew daily is great for my joints. I am looking for a loving home with a great, furever family! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I'm located in Kennesaw, Ga. October 19, 2026, 11:17 am
