Story
Rudy Patootie is seeking a position as house dog in an environment filled with dogs, some 4 legged friends to romp and play with and some humans to take care of him. The caretakers will provide many snuggles and a warm nap lap.   He describes himself as a dashing one year old man, small in appearance, but mighty in spirit. Currently, he sings in a boy soprano chorus, but soon will become a tenor after neuter (on June 11th). He practices his vocalizations at every given moment and hopes to become a part of the Atlanta Opera Company soon.     While in the potty training process, he welcomes belly bands in the house and asks for frequent trips outside as part of his learning curve. He is good in the crate, although when humans leave, he does inform you for a few minutes. He is physically fit and trains a good 12 or more hours a day. He likes to cuddle with humans during short naps and just before bedtime.   Rudy enjoys play with other dogs, but also loves to be with humans. He fusses a bit when they leave and goes "Zoomie" crazy when they return.     He would do well in many environments with other small dogs who are playful and people who are home a good deal of time.    He is a fierce barker, so apartments or condos probably not a great environment for him.   An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online. http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms  Please be sure to like our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.  Email inquiry@angelsrescue.org  Note: Some apartments and neighborhoods have breed restrictions. Story
A FRIENDLY & ADORABLE GUY:  Approx. 10 years old / Approx. 20 lbs.  Hi, my name is Tex!  I had a home, as I was adopted from Mostly Mutts a few years ago.  Unfortunately, my family fell on hard times, so I am back with Mostly Mutts looking for a new family to love!  Though I’m not the best at smiling for the camera and my pictures may make me look a little grumpy, I am NOT a grumpy boy, but rather friendly and adorable! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I like the older dog in my foster home, and the 2 younger and smaller dogs I met recently too!  I do growl at the mostly blind dog when he bumps into me or approaches me in my dog bed, so my foster corrects that behavior and I try to listen, but I don’t love being bumped by him.  I do nap with him at times though.   I met a puppy too that invaded my personal space and I barked at her to let her know this, though I was tolerant.  So, if you have another dog, let’s meet!  / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet, but I am working on my ‘happy to see you’ jumping, so my foster recommends no very young kids that I may bump over and let’s meet!   • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  When asked, the volunteers at the shelter describe me with one main word – sweet, sweet, sweet!  I was always excited to see them, since I am very much a people dog.  I seek out attention whenever I can and have been very friendly.  When guests leave my foster home, I may tug at their pants as if to stay, ‘no wait, don’t go’! My foster has started picking me up to watch guests leave as it keeps me calm.  I am a ‘wonderful gentleman’ just looking for a family to love and be loved by!  In my foster home, they say that I’m a sweet, friendly, gentle, and a mannerly gentleman too! / My energy level is 3-5. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I know the ‘sit’ command and have shown great leash manners.  I bet you can teach me even more!  I take treats gently too. I consider it my job to be an alert barker like when a delivery person pulls up or a squirrel runs by, and sometimes I bark with the other dogs.  I think I may bark a bit too much at all the noises that are in an apartment building, so probably best no apartment/condo type home.  / I don’t need a crate in my foster home. / I had a few accidents on the shelter schedule but am doing well in my foster home as long as I’m taken out often enough.  My foster has pee pads for her own dog that I’ve learned to potty on, if I need to go and can’t get outside, so you may want to consider having those for me too. • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I thrive on attention and love being with people!  Scratches and head kisses make me happy, and I enjoy sitting next to my foster family, but not really in their laps.   I’m not a big fan of toys, but I sure would be a fan of being your loving companion! / Though I ride very well in the car, my foster doesn’t think that I love to do that.  I can’t think of any real dislikes, though I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. I had a dental cleaning, so my mouth is clean again. Since I’m an older fellow, I take an over-the-counter Cosequin supplement that’s good for all older dogs.  I am looking for a loving home with a wonderful family!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  July 15, 2024, 9:15 am

Story
Meet Auggie Auggie is seeking a local, adult only home with a fenced yard and a similarly sized playmate! Auggie is an adorable 5 yr old, 15 lb Pug/Chihuahua mix who was picked up a stray and never reclaimed. He was highly stressed in the shelter and we didn’t hesitate to pull him when his time was up. Auggie is a sweet silly boy, a definite lap dog and does expect full furniture privileges. He loves toys! He enjoys going for walks and rides in the car. Auggie loves to play with other similar sized energetic dogs but is intimidated by bigger dogs. He is looking for a home with another small dog and will not be placed in a home with big dogs! . Older dogs may not appreciate his enthusiasm. He does okay with a dog savvy cat but for cats not used to dogs he would not be a good fit. Auggie is a resource guarder and because of this he will not be placed in a home with children. He has super sensitive hearing and will protect you from the UPS truck so apartment living is not in his future! Auggie is crate trained and housetrained. He is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, HW tested negative and on prevention. He does need to lose a couple pounds. Auggie has been in foster care for quite some time now and we really dont know why - we know the perfect home is out there somewhere! LOCAL INQUIRIES ONLY PLEASE
