He may need a few minutes to settle at the start of a trip.He walks best on a Gentle Leader, which has made a huge difference and prevents the coughing he experiences with a harness. He can still get excited and pull hard if he spots squirrels, rabbits, or other wildlife, as he has a high prey drive. A back-clip harness is used when he's tethered outside.Taxi is playful and loves a game of fetch, though he can be a little mouthy during play and may try to grab the toy before it's thrown. His foster family has been working on this. He has a strong prey drive toward small animals, but despite not being formally cat-tested, he ignores the neighbor's outdoor cat when they cross paths. Taxi loves spending time in a fenced yard but is a digger and a bit of an escape artist, so the fence should be secure and "Taxi-proof."He forms strong bonds with everyone in the household and would do well in either a large or a small family. Because of his playful mouthiness, children around 6-8 years old would likely be the best fit.IMPORTANT: Although Taxi is a very social dog, we've recently learned that doggie daycare is not a good fit for him. He isn't aggressive, but he barks almost nonstop, and it's clear the busy environment is stressful for him.
