Story
We think Meredith is a Puggle mixed with an adorable bully breed. Basically… the recipe for maximum cuteness and fun. ‍ This adorable tiny low riding gal has the thick little trunk, a snooshy wrinkly face, and the cutest stubby legs. She’s truly one of those dogs that makes everyone stop and say “oh my gosh she’s so cute.”   Meredith is crate trained and absolutely loves other dogs. She’s active, busy, and FULL of personality and charm, so she’s looking for a home that can match her fun, boisterous energy. She would thrive with people who enjoy an active pup and maybe even another dog to play with. If you’re looking for a ridiculously cute, happy, upbeat and playful little companion, Meredith might be your girl. @1-3 yo//only 25 lbs crate trained and housebroken good on leash & knows basic commands active and upbeat personality altered, vaccinated & microchipped  fostered in Massachusetts  please remember we are all volunteers &  incomplete applications will not be processed Apply to FOSTER or ADOPT today & get approved to bring a dog home. Story
A 27-Pound Shadow with a Pure Heart of Gold.Taxi is a charming little guy with a one-of-a-kind look—possibly a mix of Border Terrier and Pug, but whatever his “recipe,” the result is pretty perfect. Sturdy, scruffy, and full of soul, Taxi is ready to slide right into your life and make himself at home.Social & Sooo Well-Mannered• Gets along great with other dogs of all sizes. Check him out with his foster sibling: https://youtu.be/DnuzFkMKwyg & https://youtu.be/pjFvWui78L4 • Has shown he can do well with cats• Potty trained and walks nicely on leash—an easy addition to any homeYour Amazing SidekickTaxi isn’t just along for the ride—he wants to be part of everything you do:• Loves following you around the house like your personal assistant• Happy to “help” with chores and daily routines• Enjoys hanging out in the yard and supervising outdoor projects• Great in the car and always up for an adventure (big or small)Taxi rides well in the car once settled, though he should be safely secured with a harness and tether, as he'd happily try to ride up front otherwise. He may need a few minutes to settle at the start of a trip.He walks best on a Gentle Leader, which has made a huge difference and prevents the coughing he experiences with a harness. He can still get excited and pull hard if he spots squirrels, rabbits, or other wildlife, as he has a high prey drive. A back-clip harness is used when he's tethered outside.Taxi is playful and loves a game of fetch, though he can be a little mouthy during play and may try to grab the toy before it's thrown. His foster family has been working on this. He has a strong prey drive toward small animals, but despite not being formally cat-tested, he ignores the neighbor's outdoor cat when they cross paths. Taxi loves spending time in a fenced yard but is a digger and a bit of an escape artist, so the fence should be secure and "Taxi-proof."He forms strong bonds with everyone in the household and would do well in either a large or a small family. Because of his playful mouthiness, children around 6-8 years old would likely be the best fit.IMPORTANT: Although Taxi is a very social dog, we've recently learned that doggie daycare is not a good fit for him. He isn't aggressive, but he barks almost nonstop, and it's clear the busy environment is stressful for him. If you'll regularly be away from home for long periods, please keep in mind that daycare is not a suitable option for Taxi, Name: TaxiBreed: Border Terrier/Pug   (Breed mix is not guaranteed-no DNA testing done).Sex: MaleAge: 2-3 years estimatedWeight: 27.0Spayed/Neutered: YesVaccinations: Up to dateHeartworm: Negative on recent testingMicrochipped: YesBASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS:Good with Children: YesGood with Dogs: YesGood with Cats: Has not lived with a cat - when seeing one outside, he does not chase.Adoption Fee: $550.00  (includes transport fee when applicable)                       $100-150 additional mandatory quarantine fee for Massachusetts residents.Location of dog currently:    MassachusettsIMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south & New England.  Adoption donations cover pre-adoption veterinary costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age-appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England, if necessary.Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse, whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher.
