Archie - Pug Mix - Male - 1.5 yrs - www.twyla.org If you'd like to know more about this dog please visit our website at www.Twyla.org Meet Archie: This goofy little Pug mix was found abandoned alongside Ethel, who we think may be his sister and/or mate. ( Yes, that's icky, but Ethel looks like she has had pups before and they are same age according to Vet, so...). Archie is about 1.5 years old and scheduled to be neutered soon. He is friendly and affectionate, and on the scale of "some are pretty, some are smart" he falls on the prettier end of that scale. Ethel is clearly the brains of the operation. That means though that she is more likely to get in trouble (finding weaknesses in gates) and he will follow. Or she decides to bark at another dog and he will take over the louder barking. Archie loooves people and would love to be a lap dog. He can be nervous in new and unfamiliar situations and looks to Ethel to guide his reactions (she decides if something is safe and he goes with that). Once separated from each other, Archie looks to his handler for guidance, and make avoidance and retreat his first reaction. He is pretty food motivated and can be bribed, but he needs a somewhat patient handler to expose him safely to new situations. He is still learning to walk on leash, he is house trained and rides well in the car, getting in and out of a car aren't his favorites at the moment, but he is learning. Archie is looking for a home with or without another dog, family with kids is ok - he just wants to be included in day to day activities. He could handle regular working hours, but not as an only dog. If he were to be the only dog in the house, he would need someone home a lot, he would really like to explore life as a Lapdog. Ethel is learning to walk on leash, rides well in the car and is house trained. Ethel is very smart, which is both great for learning new skills as well as problematic as she is more likely to get herself in trouble doing things she is not supposed to do when bored. Ethel is looking for a home with or without another dog in it - she likes attention and adventure. She is looking to be included in family daily activities, would love daily walks for reading the Pee-mail along the route. Bubbs is a 5.5yr old male neutered Fawn pug. He is social, calm (unless he knows you as a fun person), great with babies and young children. He enjoys sitting in the sun and snoozing, eating his treats on/next to my feet, and playing chase around the house. He is up to date on vaccines and just got an allergy shot to help him handle his sensitivity to grass. He comes when he is called and will sit on command. He is crate trained and is okay on a leash. He does not guard his food and is very food motivated. He does not bite but does react with nipping when we cut his nails. He is decently cooperative during baths. He likes being a member of a group and enjoys social settings. Does not interfere with kids playing, but will observe them for any stray food on the ground and to make sure they are okay. He does not bark unless someone new is at the door is something crazy is happening at a neighbors house.

Chloe is the sweetest little girl. This little pumpkin, 32 pounds, was at Harris County for weeks. Sadly, nobody saw how adorable she actually is. But fortunately as soon as her final plea came through our emails we knew we had to go get her. And this little one is a love bug! Chloe is a pug mix with a huge heart. She is so incredibly sweet! Chloe is just about 3 years old and gets along great with everyone she meets. Chloe is currently positive for heartworms but Scout’s Honor will cover her treatment. Meet the cutest boy in town -Dante! How this little guy ended up on the euthanasia list instead of cuddled up in someone’s lap we will never understand. Dante is PRECIOUS! And is loads of fun! He is the happiest little guy but does spook at some things that we are still trying to identify, welders are definitely scary but rightfully so. When he does spook just a little reassurance and the cutie is back. Dante was picked up as a stray by Harris County and fortunately we were able to get him just in time. He is an adorable steel gray pug mix with a sparkly white underbite, about 2 years old, weighs about 35 pounds. He is currently heartworm positive but Scout’s Honor will cover his treatment.
