This 8-month-old Puggle mix is a friendly, happy pup who came to us as a transfer, so his past is a bit of a mystery. What we do know is that he has a wonderful personality—he did amazing at our dog walking event and loves meeting new people!He has a previously broken elbow (olecranon) that was splinted at a previous shelter, and amputation was initially planned. However, the doctor ultimately decided not to remove the leg. He does have a waiver for this condition and may walk with a slight limp, but it doesn’t seem to slow him down or affect his happy spirit.If you have any questions about his medical history or care, our team will be happy to help!

Meet Lennon! This handsome gentleman is availably for adoption & looking for his forever home! Lennon is a sweet senior Pug(mix) who loves to be outside & sunbathe. While he has been very friendly with staff, he isn`t always fond of all types of handling and would do best in a home with children 6 or older. Additionally, he will have to meet any other dogs in the home prior to adoption to ensure everyone gets along. Please remember to do any introductions with either people, places, or other animals slowly! Lastly, any potential adopter would need to be ready to help him continue with daily exercise & a weight loss diet to keep him(and his joints)happy and health. Bodhi is ready for adoption. He’s a 2-1/2 year old, 50 lb. Boston/Pit Bull mix who is housebroken, neutered and UTD on vaccines. Bodhi was aggressive towards other dogs. He even attacked a dog. Bodhi went through an intensive four-week board and train program with a professional trainer. He has not had an aggressive episode since completing training. He receives periodic sustainment training, and has even made some dog friends at the training facility. Bodhi and his foster dad enjoy walks through downtown Fredericksburg where they encounter hundreds of people, dogs, motorcycles, and other loud things. Bodie loves going to Home Depot and his behavior has been perfect. Everyone who meets Bodhi loves him because he’s so handsome and sweet. He is a favorite among his trainers. Bodhi will thrive in a home where he is an only pet and has room to play. Bodhi enjoys being close to his humans and loves being petted. He knows the heel command, walks at his foster’s side, and rarely notices other dogs now. Since he’s a young dog with lots of energy, Bodhi would benefit from having a fenced yard. Bodhi is fostered in Stafford, VA. Cy is ready to find his home. He’s a beautiful 1-1/2 y/o, 37 pound brindle boy. He’s a one-eyed pup; lost it in an accident. Cy is healthy, neutered, house trained and UTD on necessary vaccines. Cy still has a ton of puppy energy. Due to that and his size, although fine with kids, it is not recommended he be with smaller children due to his rough play. He is definitely an alpha, so best as the only dog in the home. No cats due to his strong prey drive, and thus a fenced yard is a must because he will chase anything that moves. Despite his high energy, Cy walks well on a leash, enjoys play with his toys, loves his humans and will snuggle under the covers at night with them. His perfect home is one where he is the only dog, a fenced yard that he can play in and two high-quality meals a day…and snacks! Cy is located in Kearneysville, WV.
