He will be ready after the New Year. Mack is a 1.5 year old fawn male pug. He was an owner surrender due to moving. He gets along great with the other dogs and cat in his foster home. He is very respectful of them.  Mack will be neutered, up to date on routine shots, microchipped and heartworm negative and on prevention.  He is fostered in Mocksville, NC and his adoption fee is $450.00. For inquiries email Margaret@compactcaninerescue.org Fee: $500 Location: Suffolk, VA Meet Jude: A Special Pup Looking for the Perfect Owner Jude comes to us from the shelter in Manassas, VA. While his exact age is unknown, he is an adult estimated to be around 8 years old, give or take a year. Jude is a small mixed breed, likely a spaniel mix with characteristics similar to a shih tzu or another short-legged, long-torso pup. Determining his precise breed is a challenge, and your guess is as good as ours! Jude has already visited the vet for his vaccines and has been neutered. He has a heart murmur and he has seen a cardiologist before surgery. He does requires a daily heart pill to manage a heart murmur, but this condition does not slow him down or dampen his spirit. Jude is settling well into his foster home. He sleeps soundly through the night, has a healthy appetite, and demonstrates good potty manners. He does have a stubborn streak and does not appreciate being forced to do things. He likes what he likes! Jude is not a cuddle bug or a couch potato. Instead, he prefers to relax by lying at his foster mom's feet while she sits on the sofa. He does shed, and the hot weather increases this, so regular brushing and coat maintenance will be necessary. Jude would thrive best in a calm home withoutchildren, as sudden movements near his head can be frightening for him. He would be content as an only pet or with a companion. Jude is considered a reactive dog and is currently working with a trainer. He is making progress, but his adopter should be committed to continuing his training. Jude is a very sweet boy who prefers the company of ladies over gentlemen. He enjoys carrying his ball on walks and appreciates a good brushing session. Jude is a wonderful pup who needs an understanding and patient owner. Bodhi is ready for adoption. He’s a 2-1/2 year old, 50 lb. Boston/Pit Bull mix who is housebroken, neutered and UTD on vaccines. Bodhi was aggressive towards other dogs. He even attacked a dog. Bodhi went through an intensive four-week board and train program with a professional trainer. He has not had an aggressive episode since completing training. He receives periodic sustainment training, and has even made some dog friends at the training facility. Bodhi and his foster dad enjoy walks through downtown Fredericksburg where they encounter hundreds of people, dogs, motorcycles, and other loud things. Bodie loves going to Home Depot and his behavior has been perfect. Everyone who meets Bodhi loves him because he’s so handsome and sweet. He is a favorite among his trainers. Bodhi will thrive in a home where he is an only pet and has room to play. Bodhi enjoys being close to his humans and loves being petted. He knows the heel command, walks at his foster’s side, and rarely notices other dogs now. Since he’s a young dog with lots of energy, Bodhi would benefit from having a fenced yard. Bodhi is fostered in Stafford, VA.
