Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi!! I’m Petey! I’m an adorable pug/Dachshund mix, and I made my way here after a stay at Bandera Animal Control—but honestly, I’m just focused on the good stuff now… like PLAYTIME. I’ve got a big personality packed into a little body, and I’m full of energy and fun. I LOVE to play. Toys? Yes, please—all of them. I’ll chase them, toss them, and keep myself (and you) entertained. I’ve always got a little bounce in my step, and I’m happiest when I’m running around or right in the middle of whatever you’re doing. I’m super friendly and love everyone I meet, so making new friends is kind of my thing. I do get excited (okay, really excited), and I might bark to let you know just how happy I am—but that’s just me being me! Life is exciting, and I’m here for it. After I’ve burned off some energy, I’m more than happy to hang out and soak up attention. I just love being part of the action. I might need a little help with potty training at first, but I’m a smart guy and with some patience and consistency, I’ll get the hang of it in no time. My adoption fee is $400. If you want to take me home, apply at www.adoggie4you.org. I’m currently in Texas, but I can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington, KY, and along the East Coast. If I need a ride to you, there’s an additional $225 transport fee. I can’t go to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to state rules.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 4, 2026, 4:19 pm

Story
FOREVER HOME NEEDED (currently in foster care) Meet Milton! Milton is a 1-year-old, 30 lb Pug/Bulldog mix who came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter. Since landing in foster care, this goofy little guy has been thriving and keeping everyone around him entertained! Milton is sweet, spunky, quirky, and absolutely full of personality. He’s the kind of dog who keeps you laughing with his wild antics, goofy expressions, and nonstop enthusiasm for life. He has a good amount of puppy energy and is always ready for walks, adventures, playtime, or just being part of whatever his people are doing. He’s been doing great in foster care and is already learning commands like “sit” and picking up new skills quickly. He’s eager to please, loves attention, and truly tries his best to make his people happy. He’s also crate trained, sleeps well through the night, and is doing very well with potty training. While he’s still learning how to tell his people when he needs to go out, he’s made excellent progress and usually heads toward the door. Milton does great with other dogs and wouldn’t mind having a playful canine sibling in his forever home. He’s social, outgoing, and would love a home that keeps him active and engaged. He’s also a major cuddlebug and loves curling up with his people after a day of fun. Like many young dogs, Milton can still get into mischief if left unsupervised — he’s curious, energetic, and always looking for his next adventure. He’s also very alert to the world around him and especially fascinated by birds, squirrels, and rabbits on walks. He can be vocal at times when seeing people or exciting things outside, so continued training and structure will help him continue maturing into his best self. Milton is looking for a home that will embrace his goofy personality, continue his training, and give him the active, fun-filled lifestyle he thrives in. In return, he’ll provide endless entertainment, lots of cuddles, and be your hilarious, affectionate, adventure-loving sidekick! Milton is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $500.

Story
Otis is a 4-year-old pug who recently joined Evergreen Pug Rescue as an owner surrender. From the moment he arrived, it was clear this sweet boy has so much love to givebut he was also quietly carrying a lot of discomfort. During his veterinary exam, Otis was diagnosed with a Grade 4 luxating patella, the most severe form of kneecap dislocation. This means his kneecap is permanently out of place, causing significant pain and limiting his ability to move comfortably. Despite this, Otis has remained gentle, affectionate, and trustingeverything we love about this breed. And heres the best partOtis is truly the whole package. He is cat approved, dog friendly, and perfectly house trained. Hes the kind of dog who settles in quickly and just wants to be near his people. The good news: there is a path forward. Otis is scheduled for corrective surgery next week, which will stabilize his knee and give him the comfort and mobility he deserves. This is a major procedure, with an estimated cost of around $2,000, followed by a dedicated recovery period. Post-surgery, Otis will need: Strict crate rest for the first two weeks Leash-only activity for several additional weeks Close monitoring to ensure proper healing Because of this, we are hoping to find a forever home local to the Redmond area so we can continue to support his follow-up care every step of the way. Otis didnt choose this journeybut were committed to making sure his future is one filled with comfort, stability, and love. And with his easygoing, well-mannered personality, we know hes going to make an incredible companion. Please visit our website to learn more about this amazing pug and begin the adoption process!

Story
Harold is a really fun and sweet boy with some bad habits. At baseline, he is a complete love. However it does seem like his past wasn't all sunshine and rainbows, and he has some behaviors we are working through. And honestly? Harold is SUCH a friendly boy. He likes people, does great with other dogs, and genuinely wants to be social and connected. Theres a really happy, sweet dog in there. But its also become clear that touch was not always something Harold knew as kind or safe. Because of that, he has triggersespecially around his neckand when he feels uncomfortable, hell growl, lunge, or try to create space. Not because hes mean, but because at some point in his life, he learned he needed to protect himself. The good news? That life is behind him now. Harold is in a trainer foster home where hes working on trust, desensitization, and learning that affection and touch can be safe. Its going to take patience, time, and the right adoptersomeone experienced or excited to work alongside a trainer and willing to meet him where hes at. Because of his triggers, well also be looking for a home with kids 13+. Sometimes rescue is more than medical care. Sometimes rescue means helping a dog learn that the world can be safe againand making sure dogs like Harold get that chance, too. While it may be some work, we know Harold is worth it and his love is the best reward. Please visit our website to learn more about this amazing pug and begin the adoption process!

Story
Welcome Kiwi to CCPAL Rescue. Kiwi is a 10-week-old Pug mixed pup. She is a beautiful fawn color with a black muzzle. She has an underbite and a shortened nose. She is a smallest-sized pup in the liter. She should be 20 or 25 pounds full grown is our best estimate. They all have curly tails and the round adorable heads. Kiwi is the most outgoing and friendly in the group. She always comes when you call and wants to be picked up. They are all affectionate and cuddly. They are very playful with their siblings. They go on a wee pad but are not fully potty trained. They are good in a crate and are getting regular attention and love at the Rescue. We don’t have the privilege of adopting out many pugs. We are excited to find the pug pups their forever home. We would love pug people for these pups, as they know the breed most. They will be spayed and neutered and ready for their forever home soon. Someone that doesn’t work all day every day is the best candidate for a puppy. These pups would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older as these pups are small and very trusting of everyone. Kiwi is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is $600 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpalrescue.org See her cute video!!

Story
CoCo is a recent owner surrender. Her family loved her so much, but wanted better for her. CoCo is crate trained, friendly, playful, and she does well on a leash, rides well in a car, loves chewing on bones and playing with toys. Her foster says shes extremely sweet! CoCo is a big girl at 29 pounds. While she is a bit overweight, shes still pretty active! Smaller meals and frequent short walks will get this little love feeling her best. We will be looking for a home that wants to help CoCo with her fat camp. CoCo is currently en route to Washington and will be fostered in the greater Tacoma area.
