Story
Meet Tank, a 4-year-old male French Bulldog (22 lbs) looking for an adult-only home where he can thrive as the only pet. He is house trained, walks well on a leash, and is very social and affectionate with people. Tank has Brachycephalic Airway Syndrome, meaning his airway structure makes breathing less efficient, especially with heat or exertion. Our vet does not recommend surgery due to the risks and does not feel it is necessary at this time. If adopters choose to pursue surgery in the future, it must be done by a specialist and would be at their expense and risk. He also has chronic skin allergies that will require ongoing care, including prescription flea prevention and proper maintenance. Tank can become easily overstimulated and may be a bit nippy, so he is not a good fit for homes with children. He is neutered, microchipped, current on rabies, DAPPV, Bordetella, and is heartworm negative. Adoption fee is $125. Tank requires an approved online adoption application for all meet and greets as well as for adoption. Apply to adopt: https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. For questions, please call 972-771-7750 ext. 2 or email info@RockwallAdoptions.com. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense. April 28, 2026, 10:57 am
