Story
Beau came back to rescue when he lost his human. He is a loving little guy who wants to devote himself to someone and be a cuddlebug again. He lives with other dogs, and although he will not play with them, he is fine around them. He would like to be the only dog in his forever home, though he would not mind having a cat to share with. While he is not house or crate trained, he will use potty pads, primarily because in his previous home, his senior mom had him use them instead of going outside most of the time. He used only to eat human food, but we have him on Fresh Pet now, and he looks forward to his meals and treats.Beau walks well on a leash and is good about going for a ride, so he would be fine as a travel companion, but is okay when he has to stay home. At home, he likes to bundle himself in a blanket and lie back, waiting to be cuddled. He is fully vetted- current with vaccines, neutered, micro chipped, and on flea/tick and heartwormprevention.

Story
Meet Myla – The Sweetest Brindle Frenchie Looking for Her Happily Ever After  At just 2½ years old and 25 pounds of pure love, Myla is a beautiful brindle French Bulldog with a heart as big as her soulful eyes. Despite everything she’s been through, she remains gentle, loving, and full of joy. Myla came to us after being used for breeding, where her health and comfort were sadly neglected. Her severe cauliflower ears are the result of untreated allergies and chronic ear infections that were left untreated to worsen. Thankfully, a caring family member reached out for help — and now Myla is safe, loved, and finally receiving the medical care she’s always deserved from LHS and doing great in her foster home. Myla came to Legacy Humane Society with a condition known as cauliflower ear, which developed from a chronic, untreated ear infection. This has caused some hearing loss, but we are hopeful that her hearing may improve if our initial treatment plan is successful. LHS is currently treating her ears, and she’s responding. While she may always have a few cosmetic scars from her past, her spirit shines brighter than ever. The first stage of treatment involves medicating the ear canal every other week using a syringe. This process will continue through January 22, 2026, with regular evaluations along the way to monitor her progress and make any necessary adjustments to her care plan. If there is no significant improvement by that date, the next step will be a total ear canal ablation surgery performed by a specialist. Because this is a pre-existing condition, Legacy Humane Society will cover all costs associated with her treatment until the issue is fully resolved. Visit this website to learn more about the ear ablation surgery:  https://vcahospitals.com/know-your-pet/total-ear-canal-ablation-and-bulla-osteotomy-tecabo Myla’s personality is as lovely as her smile — she’s quiet, playful, and adores cuddles. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs, kids, and everyone she meets. She walks well on a leash, enjoys car rides, fluffy toys, and of course, treats and snuggles! Now, Myla is looking for what she’s never truly had — a forever family who will love her for who she is, not for what she can produce. She deserves a home filled with kindness, warmth, and a lifetime of belly rubs. If you have room in your heart and home for this precious girl, please complete an adoption application. Myla’s foster mom would love to share more about her journey and ongoing ear care and will reach out. The adoption fee is $275.00 and covers her spay, vaccinations, de-wormer, first dose of heartworm preventative and microchip. Please apply at: http://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ Help us show Myla that her best days are just beginning — because every dog deserves a life full of love.  Myla is spayed, UTD on vaccinations, Heartworm negative and microchipped.   We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Therefore, if you are interested in adopting from LHS, please complete an online application at http://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ and we will contact you asap about the status of your application. Story
Meet Nina – A Tiny Soul with a Huge Heart Sweet little Nina is an 8-year-old Chihuahua who has already endured more heartbreak than any pup should. When her elderly mom passed away, no one in the family stepped up to take her in. Instead, Nina was left scared and alone at a shelter — confused, grieving, and carrying a tumor on her tummy. Her world had fallen apart. Just when hope seemed lost and time was running out, a plea went out to save her from euthanasia… and Legacy Humane Society answered. They stepped in to change her story — to heal her broken heart and give her the second chance she so deeply deserves. At just 14 pounds, Nina is the perfect little lap companion with a heart full of love. X-rays showed that her cancer hadn’t spread (the best news ever!), and her tumors have now been successfully removed. She’s on the road to recovery — both physically and emotionally — and she’s blossoming into the sweet, gentle girl she was always meant to be. Nina can be a little cautious when meeting new people — and she might show a bit of Chihuahua sass at first — but once she knows you’re safe and kind, her walls melt away. That’s when her true self shines: a devoted little snuggler who just wants to be close to her person and feel loved again. She is looking for an adult only home. Nina dreams of a forever home where she’ll never be left behind again — where soft beds, kind hands, and gentle hearts surround her every day. She still has so much love to give… could you be the one to show her that happily ever after's really do come true? If you’re ready to open your heart and home to Nina, please reach out to Legacy Humane Society today by completing an application and her foster mom will be in touch. The adoption fee is $275.00 and covers her spay, vaccinations, de-wormer, first dose of heartworm preventative and microchip. She is heartworm negative.  Please apply at: http://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ Nina is spayed, UTD on vaccinations, Heartworm Negative and Microchipped.  We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program.
