Story
Meet Alexander!  Alexander is a sweet rescue who's still settling in and showing us his personality. Once he trusts you, he's incredibly loyal and will happily follow you from room to room. He's an easy housemate who does well home alone during the workday, sleeps through the night, knows "sit," loves treats (especially baked chicken!), and enjoys playing fetch—though he's still working on the "drop it" part. He's also been a great sport about his medicated baths. Alexander is still building confidence and can be reactive to unfamiliar people, especially men, as well as other dogs. Thunder and loud noises can also make him nervous. Because of this, we think he may do best as the only pet in a calm, female-only home with someone who will give him the time and patience he needs to feel safe. If you're looking for a devoted companion who will reward your kindness with endless loyalty, Alexander might be your perfect match.  ##2799159##

Story
Hi, I’m Ranger, a 5-year-old Rat Terrier weighing 9 pounds. With a name like Ranger, you might picture me exploring the wilderness, but my favorite adventure is discovering the comforts of a loving home. I’m a sweet, goofy little guy who has come a long way and has lots of love to give. I also have a special talent for making unusual noises somewhere between a normal dog and Jurassic Park. It’s all part of my charm! Favorite Things: Ranger enjoys investigating interesting scents, keeping tabs on household happenings, and satisfying his endless curiosity about the world around him. He especially enjoys spending time with other dogs and seems to appreciate having fourlegged friends nearby. A playful canine companion is often the quickest way to bring out his fun side. Training and Manners: Ranger has good manners around the house and does well when given regular opportunities to go outside and has learned how to use puppy pads. Leash walking remains a work in progress, and because he's quick on his feet, he should always remain safely leashed outdoors. He is a good passenger in the car and can sleep in the people bed or his own cozy dog bed. Health and Care: Ranger is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. He is a healthy boy and will simply need monthly flea and heartworm preventatives like any dog. His grooming needs are simple with regular bath and nail trims. Other Animals: Ranger gets along beautifully with dogs of all sizes and has gained a great deal from living with canine role models in his foster home. He has not been tested with cats, though his easygoing disposition suggests he may do well with thoughtful introductions. Children: Ranger has not had the opportunity to spend time with children. Because he appreciates a gentle introduction to new experiences, older, respectful children (10 +) who allow him to settle in at his own pace would be the best match. Ideal Home: Ranger is looking for a patient adopter who understands that relationships take time. He can be sensitive to louder voices, particularly from men, and responds best to a calm, gentle approach. A singlefamily home with a fenced yard will allow him to safely enjoy the outdoors while continuing to settle into family life. He also has a remarkable talent for conducting qualitycontrol inspections on anything left within reach, so keeping tempting objects picked up will help keep both Ranger and household belongings safe. Overall: Ranger is a resilient little dog with a sweet nature and an endearing quirky streak. He has come an incredible distance and is ready to continue thriving with a family that appreciates him for exactly who he is. For a dog named Ranger, it turns out the greatest destination isn't out on the trail at all, it's a loving forever home. If Ranger sounds like the perfect match, visit www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org to submit an adoption application. If it seems like a good fit, his foster family will reach out. His adoption donation is $350. ##2821511##

Story
Hi! I'm Caraxes! I'm a 10-year-old Rat Terrier that weighs 13 lbs. My name may sound a bit more combat-ready than I am, but don't let the name fool you—I'm much more interested in snacks, snuggles, and living my best cozy life! After all, every good dragon rider needs a loyal companion, right? Favorite Things: This little guy is a FOODIE! If you've got yummy snacks, Caraxes will be your new best friend! He's not much of a toy guy, but he's always happy to curl up with his favorite human for some quality snuggle time. His love language? Treats and companionship! Training & Manners: Caraxes is a quiet gentleman with wonderful manners who enjoys napping in his bed and sharing his space with other dogs. He's still gaining confidence with leash walking and working on his housetraining. His foster mom keeps him on a consistent routine, but he may still have accidents, so his adopter should be prepared to continue working with him patiently and consistently. Health and Care: Caraxes is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. He will need monthly heartworm and flea prevention like any other Florida pup. Other Animals: Other dogs are a-okay with Caraxes! In fact, having other dogs around help this shy guy feel more comfortable. He loves romping around with them. He hasn't been introduced to cats, so any feline introductions would need to be slow, careful, and supervised. Children: Caraxes has not interacted with any children but a home with respectful kiddos would be just fine!  Ideal Home: Caraxes would thrive in a home with a fenced in yard where he can run around and have frequent potty breaks. Overall: Caraxes is a sweet, quiet, affectionate little guy looking for a safe place to land. He may be shy at first, but underneath his cautious exterior is a gentle companion who loves snacks, cozy beds, and being near his people. He'll need someone willing to give him time, patience, and plenty of reassurance, but watching him blossom could be incredibly rewarding. He may not be the fearsome dragon his name suggests, but with the right person by his side, Caraxes is ready to discover just how wonderful life can be! If you think Caraxes may be the one, please visit www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org and submit an adoption application. If it looks like a good fit, his foster family will reach out with more information. Caraxes' adoption donation is $300. ##2821513##

At just 1 year old and approximately 9 pounds, this Rat Terrier mix is full of energy, personality, and a whole lot of fun! A little about Walker: Walker is SUPER dog-friendly and absolutely thrives with other dogs. He needs a canine sibling in his forever home to run, wrestle, and play with. Having a doggy friend isn't just a bonus for Walker—it's a must! Dog Friendly: He loves other dogs! He's especially comfortable with small dogs and can do great with big dogs, too, although he may need a little time to warm up to the larger ones. Play Over Snuggles: Walker is more of a PLAY than cuddle kind of guy. He'd much rather be wrestling with his foster siblings, running zoomies, and getting into all sorts of fun than sitting in someone's lap. Crazy in the BEST Way: This little guy is a happy, energetic, silly bundle of fun! He's got a big personality and is always ready for his next adventure. What About Cats? Walker is mostly friendly with cats, but they definitely make him nervous. He's more terrified of them than anything! Good House Skills: Walker is crate trained and mostly potty trained. He's also learning to walk politely on a leash and making great progress! Walker is one of 14 terrier mixes Hunter's Village Rescue welcomed after rescuing 85 dogs from a heartbreaking hoarding situation in Lake County. Thirteen of these little terriers are still waiting for their forever homes! This sweet boy deserves a home where he can run, play, wrestle, and enjoy life with a four-legged best friend by his side. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Clementine 10 Pounds of Sweetness Looking for Her Safe Place! At just 2 years old and a whopping 10 pounds, Clementine may be tiny, but she has a BIG story to tell. Clementine is one of 14 terrier mixes Hunter's Village Rescue welcomed from a heartbreaking hoarding case involving 85 dogs in Lake County. While we don't know everything about her past, we do know that this sweet little Rat Terrier is learning what it means to feel safe, loved, and cherished.  And if there's one thing Clementine has figured out already, it's that a warm lap is pretty much the greatest place on Earth!  Here's what we're learning about our little Cutie Clementine: Professional Lap Warmer: Clementine absolutely LOVES snuggling with her humans. Give her a cozy lap and some love, and she's one happy little girl! House Manners Superstar: In her first five days in foster care, she's only had TWO accidents! Pretty impressive for a little girl adjusting to an entirely new world! Doggy Relationships: Clementine is still figuring out life with other dogs. She's making progress with her foster sister, but she can be protective of her crate, especially when food is involved. Interestingly, she's perfectly happy enjoying treats alongside her foster sister outside of her crate! She may do best with a patient, respectful canine companion or as someone's one-and-only princess. Walks? Hard Pass! Clementine hasn't quite embraced the whole leash-and-harness concept. In fact, she's absolutely terrified of it! Her current walking strategy involves planting all four paws firmly on the ground and refusing to budge. Her foster family has resorted to carrying her along on walks. Fortunately, at 8 pounds, she's pretty portable! ❤️ A Tender Little Heart: Clementine is still skittish and easily frightened by unfamiliar experiences. She's going to need a patient family who understands that trust takes time and who will celebrate all those little victories along the way. Her foster family says she’s becoming more and more silly as the days go on and it seems she’s got a fun and energetic side of her that she’s just now feeling safe enough to show. ✨ Clementine's Dream Home ✨ We're looking for someone who doesn't need a dog that's ready to conquer the world on day one. Someone who understands that sometimes the biggest accomplishments come in the tiniest packages. A family willing to give her time, patience, a predictable routine, and plenty of reassurance as she learns that life can be wonderful. And, of course, a warm lap is absolutely nonnegotiable! ❤️ Clementine has already been through more than any little dog should have to experience. Now it's her turn to discover the good stuff: soft beds, gentle hands, unconditional love, and a family to call her very own.   Her adoption donation is $250 and will include vaccines, microchip and spay Please follow this link to submit an application:   https://bit.ly/3GDeyyo   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 3, 2026, 6:16 pm
