PLEASE NOTE! WE ARE A TEXAS-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY IN TEXAS AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO YOUR STATE ONCE ADOPTED. Our application can be found at haydudeequine.org. **Hi, I’m Zippy!** 🐾 I’m a 3-year-old Chi x Rat Terrier mix — a tiny 14-pound package with giant ears, endless energy, and a whole lot of personality! I’ve never met a stranger in my life. Two legs or four, I’m ready to be best friends immediately. My tail goes full helicopter mode the second I see someone I like (which is pretty much everyone). I get along great with other dogs (I love playing with my foster siblings), but what I’m really dreaming of is a person or family of my very own to shower with nonstop love and ridiculous devotion. I’m happiest when I’m glued to my humans, following them everywhere like a happy little shadow. I’m a smart cookie too! I’ve mastered the dog door like a pro and I’m doing awesome with house training. I’ve got that classic Rat Terrier spunk mixed with Chihuahua charm, so I’d love an active family who can keep up with my playful zoomies while giving me plenty of affection and attention. If you’re looking for a loyal, goofy, big-eared best friend who will greet you with maximum excitement every single day, I might be your perfect little match! Ready to bring home the happiest 14 pounds on the planet? Let’s do this! ❤️

Story
Little tripod PIERCE has recovered well from his amputation surgery and is ready to find his furever home! Pierce is a sweet, affectionate boy, about 8-10 months old and fully grown at 15 pounds. He spends his days charming his foster family, playing with his toys, playing with his foster siblings and just generally loving life. His 3 favorite times of day are play time, cuddle time and dinner time. Living on 3 legs doesn't slow him down a bit, he runs and plays with his foster siblings like any young dog. Pierce is a handsome mixed breed little guy, our best guess is a MinPin/Rat Terrier type mix. He navigates very well on 3 legs, he wasn't using the leg that was injured months ago and badly healed. Pierce is basicallly perfect, he's housebroken, crate trained and good with cats and other dogs. He would love to find a home with another similar-sized medium energy dog who loves to play. If you'd like to meet Pierce, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Pierce at our weekly adoption event, Saturday 11:30am-1:30pm at PetSmart Eastgate. Our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, dewormed and current on flea and tick and heartworm prevention. Story
We adopted Sadie from a shelter litter at 8 weeks old and have had her for the last 11 years where she has always had her dog sister in the house. While she usually gets on fine with her sister and generally has patience for children (we have 2 young girls), she does has had several episodes of getting jealous over food or when in tight spaces (like riding on car trips) or when staying in other dogs' homes. She is definitely a dog that prefers her bubble where she can either roam outside and sniff out things or inside in her designated bed/spot. We are looking to rehome because we know that in the right situation where she is the sole dog or has space to go if she is getting nervous about something, she is a very loving animal who loves to greet you when you come home, clean up under the table after the kiddos, and hang out on mornings outside. She is used to regular exercise each day but we've had to keep her inside during our work days since moving to Cincinnati.

Story
Meet Fawn! Fawn is estimated to be eight years old and has a lot of spunk and love to give. She is dainty in size but strong in heart and body. Fawn plays really well with other dogs, as her current home has three of their own and does daycare, boarding and grooming from their home. She is around dogs all day and is such a good playmate. Her current foster home also has three children under four. She does really, really well with kids. Fawn is updated on all her vaccines and is spayed. (Not sure if she is microchipped, but add that if she is.) She is completely housebroken and crate trained. Her current foster family loves her very very much and wants to see her Go to a very loving and wonderful home! You won’t regret bringing this beautiful, amazing girl into your family!  Fawn's Adoption fee is $350.00 July 14, 2026, 10:27 am
