Story
Xander is loving, and loyal, the very best cuddler! He loves treats and learning new things. As a middle aged dog he sleeps most of the day and is content with a short daily walk and play session. An ideal home for him is one that wants to invest in his training, has a quiet home environment and is able to be home with him most of the day. A couple important things to know about him are that he has Addison’s Disease which requires daily medication (easily given with breakfast), a monthly injection, and twice per year labs. Additionally, he is afraid of strangers and other dogs which must be understood and managed through environmental structure and training. Whatever inconvenience his needs represent he pays back in double portion of love, he bonds deeply and loves unconditionally. He is an attentive companion, ready to match your mood. He'll entertain you with hilarious antics or curl up with you and your book depending on the demands of the day.

Story
Malekai is a unique little guy with a beautiful colored birthmark in his eye. Vets assured me that it is a birthmark as he has good vision at his age. He loves to play fetch. Can be high energy but will also have down time. He loves to cuddle and loves pets. He has allergies. Kai had parvo as a puppy but is now well just he is an allergy pup. Has very sensitive skin. He is 8yrs old now and I just don’t have the means to take care of him. As I’m dealing with a lot of health issues. I adopted him when he was only a few months old from the humane society in San Antonio Texas. Malekai is potty trained and as much as I would hate to give him up for adoption. But I understand I can’t meet his needs. I just want him to be well taken care of in a loving home.

Hi I’m Speedy! You'd think a guy named Speedy would spend his days running laps around the yard. Plot twist, the only thing I sprint toward is my favorite humans when they call my name! I'm a 5 year old, 15 lb. little gentleman with a sweet heart and an even sweeter personality. I can be a little unsure when meeting new people, but it doesn't take me long to realize that you're pretty awesome. Once I know you're safe, I'll happily trade my worries for cuddles and become your tiny sidekick. Home is my favorite place to be. I'm not looking for a life of chaos or constant adventures. I'd much rather spend my days curled up beside you, supervising your Netflix choices, following you from room to room, and making sure you never have to relax alone! I'm a social little guy and do great with other dogs, especially fellow small pups. Big personalities aren't really my style. I'd much rather have a calm crew where everyone can enjoy the simple things in life. My history with cats is still a mystery, but if you have one at home, my friends can always cat test me to see how I do. I'd also do best with children over the age of 5 who understand that sometimes little dogs need a little extra space while we build confidence. Life doesn't always have to move at full speed. Sometimes the best moments happen curled up on the couch with your favorite little buddy. If that sounds like your kind of lifestyle, I think we might be the perfect match! My adoption fee is $295 and I’m neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Apply to meet me today!

Meet Penguin Male DOB: May 19, 2023 Weight: 22 lbs Breed: Jack Russell Terrier / Rat Terrier Mix Neutered (Fixed) Vaccinated Microchipped Healthy & Adoption-Ready Personality, Breed Info & Expectations Penguin is an outgoing, friendly little guy with a fun personality and a big zest for life packed into a small body. He loves being around people, enjoys interaction, and carries himself with the confident, entertaining energy Terrier lovers know and adore. He has matured beautifully into a lively companion who still enjoys playtime and activity while also loving affection and companionship from his humans. Penguin thrives when he feels included and part of the action. As a Jack Russell Terrier / Rat Terrier mix, Penguin may show traits such as intelligence, curiosity, alertness, and playful energy. Both breeds are known for being highly engaging, clever little dogs who enjoy staying mentally and physically active. Penguin would thrive in a home that can provide: Daily walks and playtime Mental stimulation and engagement Structure and consistency Companionship and inclusion as part of the family He would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a social, entertaining, and affectionate dog with lots of personality. Training, Adjustment & What to Expect Many rescue dogs come from very different backgrounds. Some may have previously lived in homes, while others may have come from the streets, overcrowded shelters, neglect situations, or environments where they had little structure or guidance. Because of this, most rescue dogs arrive with only basic training at best, and some may have had no formal training at all. Even dogs who appear well-behaved in foster care or at the rescue are still adjusting and learning. The rescue environment itself also does not always allow for extensive one-on-one training. While we work hard to provide safety, structure, socialization, and basic guidance, adopters should be prepared to continue training and support after adoption. Penguin will benefit from: Positive reinforcement training Structure and consistency Continued socialization and engagement Mental stimulation and routine Patience during adjustment periods Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule: 3 days to decompress 3 weeks to learn your routine 3 months to fully feel at home With patience, stability, and commitment, rescue dogs often blossom into deeply loyal lifelong companions. Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care Owning a dog is a lifelong commitment that includes daily exercise, companionship, routine veterinary care, training, mental stimulation, and financial responsibility. Penguin will need: Daily walks, exercise, and interaction Continued training and engagement Routine wellness exams and preventative veterinary care A safe, stable, indoor living environment Consistent veterinary care, proper nutrition, preventative care, and emotional stability are all essential to helping him live a healthy and happy life. Penguin is an indoor family dog and is not to be chained or left outside.
