You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue is primarily a sanctuary for senior and medically needy dogs.  Every once in awhile you will see younger dogs but for the most part our dogs live out their life at the ranch at the request of their previous owners or their owners families.  We have many sponsorship dogs.  Our sponsors love to keep in touch and know how their sponsored fur buddy is doing :) When we have foster families we are thrilled to be able to take adoptable younger dogs :)  So if you have ever thought about becoming fosters please feel free to go to our foster/volunteer page and fill out an application. The Ranch located at 737 Taylor Rd., Windsor, PA is always looking for dedicated volunteers that will commit to at least a 2 hour shift per week at the rescue.  Volunteers work in play yards, help with laundry and feeding.  Some enjoy landscaping or carpentry projects and some like to bake for the healing center visitors :) Thank you for supporting our mission of caring for the elderly and medically needy souls that need us! Daisey is an incredibly sweet, loving dog who adores everyone she meets. She is currently learning basic training with her foster family and is eager to please. Daisey also enjoys car rides and makes a wonderful companion for outings. She dosent seem to mind cats. Her ideal forever home will include another dog for companionship and a securely fenced yard where she can safely play and burn off energy. REQUIREMENTS: Fenced yard, Another fur friend   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Please fill out an adoption application: Adoption application (Dog) Adoption Application (Cat)   Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to families with children under the age of 5. We do not adopt dogs to renters. Some dogs will have fence requirements while others may not. A pet is a lifetime commitment. The dogs and cats in our system find themselves there, for the most part, because their humans did not have the same loyalty to them as they did to their owners. We do not take the adoption process lightly, and will do everything in our power to make sure the animal is placed correctly the first time around for your sake and theirs. Thank you for choosing to adopt not shop! Super energetic, Angel would thrive on walks, hikes, or just zooming around in a securely fenced yard. Shes good with cats. :) Her forever home must include another dog to keep her company and a safe space to burn off her endless energy. :) REQUIREMENTS: Fenced Yard, Another dog Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Please fill out an adoption application: Adoption application (Dog) Adoption Application (Cat)   Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to families with children under the age of 5. Story
Meet Ripp: Ripp is estimated to be about a 5 year old (as of January 2026) rat terrier mix (best guess) that weighs 28 pounds. Ripp was surrendered by his owners to Animal Control in Brownsville, Tennessee early this year after they said they just didn't want a dog anymore. Luckily Charlie’s Crusaders heard of him and were able to get him into the rescue. Ripp is currently being fostered in the south and would love to take the freedom ride north to Pennsylvania to meet more prospective families. Ripp is a friendly little fellow that requires no time to get to know you. Ripp is playful and gentle and wants to be near you. Ripp is currently house trained to a doggie door and may need some patience while adjusting to a new method. We would love for Ripp to have a home with a fenced in yard so he can play freely. If you are interested in adding this little man into your life, please go to Charlie’s Crusaders website (www.charliescrusaders.org) to fill out an application. CURRENT LOCATION: Tennessee, awaiting transport to PA ##2639006##

Story
Dharma is pretty as a picture and like most Terriers, she is happy, spunky, active, independent, good natured and lots of fun! She seems to love everybody and she loves the outdoors, so I think she would make a terrific walking or hiking partner. She was actually found at the grocery store visiting with everyone in the parking lot and entering the store through the automatic doors lol. She does fine with other dogs, but no cats! My wish for Dharma is to be adopted by a fun and active family that will include her in their everyday comings and goings. Dharma is 1 ½ years old (dob 7/27/24) and is a great size at 26 pounds. She has been spayed, microchipped, 4DX heartworm tested, fecal tested, current on all vaccinations, worming and is on heartworm and flea prevention. Her adoption fee is $400. Dharma is being fostered in Tennessee. Once adopted she will be transported to her pickup location by a professional dog transport company. Our rescue ships to the New England area every week and her fee includes transportation.

Story
Our mama is a tiny little thing — a Rat Terrier/Jack Russell mix weighing just 20 lbs — but we were some BIG babies when we were born! We’re already tipping the scales at around 5 lbs each, so we’ll likely grow into wonderful medium-sized pups. What we may lack in size, we make up for in sweetness. We absolutely love attention and will happily soak up all the cuddles you’re willing to give. Kisses? We’ve got plenty to share! Playtime is one of our favorite times of day. Crinkle toys are at the top of our list (that sound is just too fun!), but honestly, we aren’t picky — if it’s a toy, we’re in! We love to romp, bounce, and then curl up for snuggles once we’ve worn ourselves out. We’re ready to bring love, laughter, and a toy basket full of fun into someone’s life. Are you that someone? Local adoption fee is $250(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)

These pups are in York, Pennsylvania too!

Story
Peanut is almost 4 years old and has gone thru some training. She absolutely loves people. She is great with older children and babies. Loves to be around humans and will give you lots of kisses. Loves her belly rubbed and prefers to sit on furniture but has been trained to stay off. Knows sit, stay, down (laying) and off (person or furniture). Needs someone with the time to play with her and give her lots of love. Would love a fenced in yard to run and play. Will come with bed and unopen bag of food.

Story
Bailey is 6 months old, almost 7 months. Her birthday is July 15, 2025. She is up to date on all of her shots (will provide records) Myself and my son are very allergic to her, so she needs a home where her people can give her the love she deserves. She's a good girl, potty trained, and very loving. She does get anxious when left alone for long.
