Story
APPLICATION LINK: https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-pet-central-satx/ We must have an application to move forward. The 4 ‘M’ Puppies came to us from a neighbor down the street. An elderly man had these 4 pups dropped on his property and he didn’t know what to do with them. He approached a neighbor that he knew to do rescue but she, too, was having her own problems with too many dogs and she approached me. They were already 3 ½ mos old. (We gave them a DOB of 2/15/26.) We took them in and started shots, neutering and TLC. I see 2 puppies with one father and 2 puppies with another father. I did a phone scan for breed-types and came out with varying suggestions so as we list each one, I will list the differences. MAGNUM-Possibly a mixture of Rat Terrier, Jack Russell, and Beagle. He is currently 6mos old & weighs 15#. I expect him to be 25# when grown. He’s a happy puppy that is brave and out-going. He’s the leader of the pack…loves to play tug-of-war with toys. He loves to play with all the toys and loves the water tub. It is quite hot right now in Texas…so they all love the water. This dog is CURRENTLY IN TEXAS and available for pre-adoption. Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention. You will receive the dog's folder with all the printouts proving the medical treatments received. You can ask us about how pre-adoption works and our "trial period." Adoption Fee: Includes all of the vetting and transportation. If you have any questions or would like an e-mail from us as to how all of this works, text me (Terry); identify the dog's name and give me your email address... 210-394-6060. You can also go to our Facebook page... https://www.facebook.com/Pet-Central-SATX-866684826744181/ and LIKE us to help us out. After we review your application, we will contact you, and you will have the opportunity to find out more from their foster family or the rescue. If you experience any issues filling out the application you can contact us directly at shaynerescue@gmail.com. This is ONLY if you have problems applying. Story
Anastacia: The Reluctant PrincessAnastacia has not yet decided what she thinks about strangers. This is not because she is unfriendly. It is because, as any sensible princess knows, one should never hand out royal privileges too quickly. When Anastacia meets someone new, she prefers to observe first. She watches. She thinks. She gathers information. Then, little by little, she decides whether you seem worthy of her friendship.Fortunately, Anastacia's standards become much easier to meet once she gets to know you.Additional evidence that Anastacia is, in fact, a princess can be found here: https://hope4lapawz.org/wp1/anastacia-2026043D.Underneath her careful introduction process is a sweet, playful puppy who loves toys, enjoys adventures, and considers splashing in water to be one of life's greatest inventions. She also adores other dogs and would happily spend her days running, playing, and inventing games with her canine friends. In fact, Anastacia firmly believes that every kingdom should include both toys and playmates.Like all young puppies, she is still learning about the world. Every day brings new discoveries, new experiences, and new opportunities to practice the important skills of being a happy family dog.Anastacia's story began under difficult circumstances. She and her family were found searching for food, hungry and struggling to survive. Thankfully, those days are behind her now.Today, Anastacia is focused on much more important matters: collecting toys, making friends, taking naps, and finding the perfect family.Preferably one willing to recognize her royal status. After all, every princess deserves a kingdom of her own. This dog is currently in foster care in La Paz, Mexico, but will be transported upon adoption or foster placement. As a U.S. nonprofit, Hope 4 La Pawz, handles all logistics and provides full behavioral and medical info in advance.

Story
Bella: A Love Story in Need of a New ChapterBella has always had a job.She was a companion, a little household guardian, a walking partner and, most importantly, a professional recipient of affection. For years, Bella belonged to a grandmother who made sure she knew exactly what it meant to be loved. Bella had company. She had cuddles. She had someone to follow around and a home where she belonged. Then her person passed away. And now Bella finds herself in the unusual position of needing to hire someone new for a job she thought had already been filled for life.Fortunately, the requirements are quite simple.Bella would like someone to accompany. Someone who enjoys walks. Someone with a hand available for regular petting and, ideally, a patio where she can supervise important household matters. In return, Bella comes with considerable experience. She walks nicely on a leash, knows “sit” and “come,” enjoys exploring safely in open spaces, and has spent her life being both companion and alert little guardian of her home. She has medium energy and enjoys getting out and about, but Bella's greatest need isn't exercise. It's company. She has spent her life close to people and would not be happy frequently left alone or lost among a large pack of dogs. Bella is accustomed to something quieter and more personal: a stable home, affection, and a human of her own.Bella has already learned what it means to be cherished. Now she just needs someone willing to continue the tradition. This dog is currently in foster care in La Paz, Mexico, but will be transported upon adoption or foster placement. As a U.S. nonprofit, Hope 4 La Pawz, handles all logistics and provides full behavioral and medical info in advance.
