Story
🥜 Meet Butternut! 🐾
Butternut is currently at a Texas shelter looking for a way out. He needs a FOSTER or ADOPTER to make the trip June 2nd.
This adorably curious gentleman is Butternut — a medium-sized, full-hearted pup with ears so big they might pick up satellite signals 📡 (okay, maybe not, but they are impressive). When he perks them up, you know something exciting is happening — like a squeaky toy sighting or the crinkle of a treat bag. 👀
Butternut is a sweet-natured boy who loves a good petting session and will happily soak up your affection. But if you’re busy, no problem — he’s got plenty to explore and will politely investigate all the sights and sounds around him like a canine detective 🕵️♂️. Toys? He’s more of a “sniff and observe” connoisseur, but hey, every toy needs a fan club, right?
He might bark a little when you first approach his kennel, but it’s just his enthusiastic way of saying, “OH HI FRIEND!!” — definitely not a complaint, just pure excitement with a sprinkle of manners.
Butternut walks beautifully on leash, is easy to manage, and takes treats so gently you'd think he’s royalty (Sir Butternut of Snackington, anyone?). He knows how to sit like a pro and is doing a fantastic job learning his potty skills. Tricks? Not quite yet. Charm? Off the charts. 📈
With a low to medium energy level, Butternut is the perfect sidekick for someone who wants a little adventure, a lot of love, and the occasional goofy grin. 💛
Come meet Butternut — he’s got ears to hear your secrets, eyes to melt your heart, and a whole lot of love to give. 🐶✨
