Story
Meet Midge ! Dont let Midges blue cloudy eyes fool youthis little lady may be mostly blind from cataracts, but she certainly doesnt let that slow her down! Midge is a 10-12 year old senior Rat Terrier (possibly with a little Chihuahua in the mix) who is absolutely adorable, affectionate, spunky, and surprisingly playful. She loves romping around with her small-dog friends, but her favorite place is probably curled up beside her people, snuggling close and taking a cozy nap. And this girl is SMART! Midge learned the steps inside and outside her foster home in just a couple of days. She knows her surroundings, confidently navigates her world, and has adapted beautifully to life without her vision. Shes also completely house trainedshe hasnt had a single accident in her foster home! When its time to settle in her crate, Midge is perfectly content there, too. When Midge first came to us, she was shaved, covered in flea bites, and carrying more weight than was healthy for her at 14 pounds. But just look at her now! She has been working on getting to a healthier weight, her skin has healed beautifully, and her gorgeous white-and-black coat is growing back soft and pretty. Midge is proof that sometimes the dogs who have been through the most can still have the biggest zest for life. She doesnt feel sorry for herself, and she doesnt think of herself as different. She just wants to be loved, have some fun, find a comfy spot to nap, and spend her days with her people and doggy friends. Please dont let Midges blindness stop you from considering her. She doesnt let it stop her from doing anythingand shes ready to show her forever family just how amazing she is!
