Story
Looking for a gentle giant with a heart of gold? Say hello to Oliver, a 9-month-old Redbone Coonhound mix who's as tall as he is sweet. This handsome hound is still growing into his long legs, but don’t let his size fool you—he’s a total softie at heart. Oliver is a cuddle bug through and through. Whether he’s leaning in for affection or curling up for a nap near you, he’s happiest when he’s close to his people. He’s already crate trained and doing great with his house training, making steady progress every day! Oliver is wonderful with other dogs—both big and small—and loves playing with his four-legged friends. He’s also gentle and sweet with kids, making him a perfect family companion. With his sweet nature, loyal heart, and houndy good looks, Oliver is ready to find a forever home where he can stretch out, snuggle up, and grow into the amazing dog he’s meant to be.

Story
Merida is a sweet and loving girl who loves to cuddle. She is crate trained, affectionate, and gentle with her humans. She does get playful, and given that she is a coonhoud, she needs exercise and enrichment. The best enrichment for her is smell-based, such as treat puzzles, snuffle mats, or simply hiding treats and toys in the back yard for her to find. She gets along with other big dogs. She has a prey drive, so small dogs and cats are not a good idea. She would love a home where she could be a family member and best friend. Merida hasn't had the easiest life so far but she knows there's a home for her out there somewhere. November 4, 2024, 3:23 pm

— Important: Please complete the adoption application before reaching out. We do not respond to online inquiries. Only approved adoption applicants will be contacted. — Adoption Application: https://airtable.com/appJMHBItTE2RWdqD/shrsP6tKWM2HcFZ Meet Vinny – your new best friend! *Way cuter in person Vinny is a 2-year-old, neutered Labrador Retriever / Redbone Coonhound / Staffy mix (our best guess), weighing about 35 pounds of pure joy. With his rich chocolate coat and expressive eyes, he even resembles Santa’s Little Helper from The Simpsons — and his personality is just as lovable. Vinny is truly the definition of a good boy. He is crate trained and sleeps quietly through the night without fuss. On walks, he’s attentive, and easy to handle. He enjoys getting out and exploring but also knows how to settle and relax once he’s home. Vinny has a heart of gold and a playful side to match. He loves toys of all kinds — tough chews, plushies, squeaky toys — and he engages with them in a happy, enthusiastic way. He’s affectionate without being overwhelming and thrives on human connection. Because Vinny spent time in a shelter environment before entering our program, we are continuing to build his confidence and social skills through structured training and day camps with Mirror Image K9. He is learning quickly and making steady progress. Through our Best Chance Program, we sponsor post-adoption training sessions to ensure long-term success. Not because Vinny is “difficult,” but because we believe every dog deserves a strong, structured foundation in their new home. We support our adopters every step of the way. If you’d like to learn more about our training philosophy and how we create lasting bonds between dogs and families, listen to our podcast: Think Like a Dog https://thinklikeadog.buzzsprout.com Vinny is ready for a home that will continue investing in him and allow him to keep thriving. If you’re looking for a loyal, happy companion with a playful spirit and a soft heart, Vinny may be your match.

Story
We got Ruby Red as a baby. She is a good dog who loves to take walks and be lazy in the couch! She was raised around kids and cats and other dogs. Due to taking in a disabled family member, we had to put her outside during the day time and it's been hard for her to adjust. She thinks she a lap dog and doesn't realize her size. She has been staying outside in a dog pen during the day time and sleeps in a crate at night. She is very lovable and gets along with our other dog. She is a coonhound so she has that howl.
