Story
Meet Marli! 🐾💕 Marli is a 2.5-month-old little sweetheart who is ready to find her forever family through Castoff Pet Rescue! Marli’s mama came into our rescue and had her puppies while in our care, and now this adorable girl is ready to start the next chapter of her life. 💗 Marli is super sweet, smart, and loves everyone she meets. She has a wonderful, friendly personality and is the kind of puppy who will happily make friends wherever she goes. Her mom is a hound mix, and we think her dad may have been a Lab. Based on her current size and mix, we expect Marli to grow to approximately 40–45 pounds full grown. She’s still just a baby, so she’ll need a family ready for all the fun, learning, puppy antics, and love that come with raising a young pup. We think Marli is going to make an amazing companion and can’t wait to see her find the family she’s been waiting for. 🐶💕 If you think Marli could be the perfect addition to your family, she’d love to meet you! https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ACPR/Dog

Story
Meet Cooper, a Redbone Hound with a story of resilience and a heart full of sweetness. Cooper came to Furkids as a rescue, and while he's faced his share of challenges, including a prior leg injury that led to the amputation of one of his back legs. You'd never know it by watching him move. He gets around just fine and lives life with the same easygoing charm as any other hound. Cooper has lived with other dogs before and did well. He's a super sweet boy, ready and eager to become someone's next family member. Cooper is currently heartworm positive, which means he'll need to be adopted in Atlanta area so he can return to Furkids for treatment. Furkids will cover the entire cost of his heartworm treatment. With a little patience and a lot of love, Cooper is ready to start the next chapter of his life with a family who will stick by him through it. Cooper's estimated birthdate is January 2024 and he weighs 73 pounds. His adoption fee is $315, and he has been neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. To learn more about Cooper or schedule an in-person meeting, head over to furkids.org/adopt to fill out your adoption survey and get connected with our adoption team. You must be 21+ to adopt.

Story
Merida is a sweet and loving girl who loves to cuddle. She is crate trained, affectionate, and gentle with her humans. She does get playful, and given that she is a coonhoud, she needs exercise and enrichment. The best enrichment for her is smell-based, such as treat puzzles, snuffle mats, or simply hiding treats and toys in the back yard for her to find. She gets along with other big dogs. She has a prey drive, so small dogs and cats are not a good idea. She would love a home where she could be a family member and best friend. Merida hasn't had the easiest life so far but she knows there's a home for her out there somewhere. March 10, 2026, 1:06 pm

Story
Henry s playful and sweet and loves his doggie friends. He is shy of new people and situations bc he has grown up in the kennel house after spending his first free months of life in the streets and in someone’s backyard. But like a typical hound, he is full of personality and makes me laugh everyday with his goofiness! 😂 Henry is housebroken, comes when called, sits for treats and goes into his crate in command. He spends his days hanging out with his doggie friends, lounging on the deck, napping in a dog bed and occasionally bouncing a little and playing with a toy. REQUIREMENTS: another dog in the home, any size he just needs a companion to watch and learn from. A fenced yard; patience to allow him to come to you on his own timeline bc he’s never known anything but the kennel house.

Story
Meet Kalina   Kalina is a beautiful, 6-year-old ,Bloodhound mix, girl who weighs about 80 pounds of pure heart and quiet hope.   This lovely lady didn’t have the easiest start in life. Her origin: a backyard breeder, so Kalina missed out on socialization and gentle handling every dog deserves. Because of that, she can be quite shy at first, especially around new people and in new places. But once she feels safe, her true personality shines through: a sweet, goofy, playful soul.   Kalina has the most velvety, deep red, soft coat and the deepest, most soulful eyes that seem to understand everything. She’s already house trained and is incredibly loyal once she bonds with you. Because of her past, Kalina would do best in a home with a patient, understanding adopter who’s ready to give her the time, consistency, and gentle love she needs to blossom. She would especially thrive with a companion dog to help boost her confidence and give her a built-in playmate and friend. Kalina also gets along with cats and even chickens!   If you have a calm, loving home and are willing to be Kalina’s safe place, she will repay you with the kind of deep, unwavering loyalty and quiet joy that only a Bloodhound mix can offer. She’s ready to leave her prior life behind and write a beautiful new chapter with someone who sees how special she is.
