I found this dog when he was approximately 4 weeks old. He is now 6 months old and is great with kids and has been living with cats and another dog that we have. He is house trained and is an inside/outside dog. We have a dog door so he goes in and out as he pleases. We simply can’t dedicate the time that we should to raising him as we are consumed with two small children and all of their extracurriculars. He would make a great pet to a loving family . Vaccine record available and up to date. He is not neutered because he is still too young, he would require neutering in about 6 months or so.

Sadie is a 2 year old female Redbone Coonhound mix, and is such a sweet gentle soul. She is friendly with everyone she meets - people, other dogs, and even nearby cats she’s been introduced to - making her an easy companion to love. Sadie absolutely lovvvvves being with her human friends and truly savors the time spent together. It’s hard not to melt when she looks up at you with her adoring eyes and those precious little worry lines on her forehead … honestly, who could ever say no to that face?  Once at the park, Sadie’s fun and lively spirit really shines. She has a blast playing and running along the fenceline with dogs on the other side, and she does the most adorable little bounce while she runs, clearly showing her canine buddies just how much she’s enjoying playtime. This wonderful girl is more than ready to be your best friend, and to bring joy, love, and gentle companionship into your home.   The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip.Carroll County Animal Shelter is located at 251 Automation Drive in Carrollton GA. Phone: 770-214-3590. The hours of operation are: Monday through Wednesday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Thursday 12:30 pm till 6:00 pm; Friday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Saturday 9:00 am till 4:00 pm. The Carroll County Animal Shelter will be closed the last Friday of every month for deep cleaning, staff training, and animal enrichment.    January 13, 2026, 8:26 pm

With his rich chocolate coat and expressive eyes, he even resembles Santa’s Little Helper from The Simpsons — and his personality is just as lovable. Vinny is truly the definition of a good boy. He is crate trained and sleeps quietly through the night without fuss. On walks, he’s attentive, and easy to handle. He enjoys getting out and exploring but also knows how to settle and relax once he’s home. Vinny has a heart of gold and a playful side to match. He loves toys of all kinds — tough chews, plushies, squeaky toys — and he engages with them in a happy, enthusiastic way. He’s affectionate without being overwhelming and thrives on human connection. Because Vinny spent time in a shelter environment before entering our program, we are continuing to build his confidence and social skills through structured training and day camps with Mirror Image K9. He is learning quickly and making steady progress. Through our Best Chance Program, we sponsor post-adoption training sessions to ensure long-term success.
