Theo is a great boy, just has a few issues that will require a stern adopter. He is friendly with dogs and people, but due to his nature, no small children. He has been through extensive training. This big handsome guy is Cowboy! He’s approximately 2 years old and around 50 pounds. He comes from the working -scenthound group and is very strong, so he’ll do best with either a big, fenced yard for exercise, or someone experienced to walk a strong, athletic dog on-leash. He loves his people and is extremely loyal. He’s been tested with some mild mannered dogs and did beautifully.

Hello there, my name is Vito! I was found as a stray abandoned in a remote area. I made my way to Guardians of Florida Animal Rescue where they provided me the medical and general care I needed to be ready for a furever family.I am estimated at 2 yrs old and appear to be a Mountain Cur/ Rhodesian Ridgeback mix, but I'm definitely on the smaller and shorter side weighing in at about 45lbs so must be another adorable breed in my mix! I am quite energetic, but not in a crazy puppy way. I would love to find someone who is active so we could go do lots of outdoorsy stuff together. I am dog friendly (proper introductions please).My $150 adoption fee includes vet check, up-to-date vaccinations, neuter, microchip and deworming. Rye came with his brother, River. The two of them were the product of backyard breeding and neglect. They were severely under socialized which has made them fearful of humans. Rye is the more confident of the two, he shows signs of wanting to play with other dogs and gets excited! He is 99% potty trained, and loves his crate. We are working on marking in the house, which is behavioral. He would thrive in a home with a fenced in yard and another confident dog to help him continue to learn.

River needs a confident home who can help him continue to move forward and build his confidence. He is the product of backyard breeding, along with his brother, Rye. He loves other dogs and looks to them for guidance, a home with a fenced in yard and another dog would be great for him. Right now he is VERY scared and skittish and will require a family who is dedicated to helping him.
