Story
Current Location: Alexandria, VA Fern is a 2 yr old, 60 lb bundle of life with energy and personality to spare. She is a sweet young girl who loves to play, sniff, and explore. She thrives when she is part of the action. Fern prefers being near her people rather than in her crate, and she lights up the moment she gets attention. She greets dogs with enthusiasm and greets people with pure joy. Fern has great house manner - never an accident, and fully housetrained. And she loves a car ride - sign her up for any outing. Fern will do best in an active home with another friendly, playful dog and a fenced yard. She loves adventure and enjoys staying busy. Her leash skills are improving, and a gentle leader has helped her make steady progress. Her training grows stronger each day. She knows sit and wait, and she is making great progress with come. She learns quickly and wants to please, which makes her a fun and rewarding partner. Fern gets curious when she spots squirrels, so her comfort with cats is unknown. She truly shines during spa time. She allows paw wiping, ear cleaning, and even tooth brushing without a fuss. She is happy to play for hours, but she also enjoys curling up in your lap to watch football. Fern is ready for her forever family. She brings energy, affection, and a loyal heart to the people lucky enough to welcome her home.

Hi, Im Chi, and I've got soft-boy charm! At first I’ll size you up like a seasoned diplomat, but once youve passed the sniff test (bonus points if you brought treats), Im all in for cuddles and goofy play. Im great with other dogs and kind humans, including kids, and Ive been fully vetted, vaccinated, and neutered—basically, Im a gentleman in a tux. If youre the type who respects a slow warm-up and then welcomes the most loyal sidekick you’ll ever meet, Ive got your back (and your couch). Im still in Qatar, but can be transported to an approved foster or adopter. I cant wait to meet you!

Story
Sinbad is a handsome, approximately 9-year-old mix of Rhodesian Ridgeback and Mountain Cur, weighing about 75 pounds Sinbad has spent his entire life on a horse farm surrounded by animals and family. He has lived with horses, cats, chickens, and another dog with whom he gets along well. He’s comfortable around horses, although he does enjoy trying to chase the chickens and cats if given the opportunity.   Sinbad loves being outside. Playing fetch and Frisbee are some of his favorite activities, and he always enjoys going for walks. As he’s gotten older, he’s become even more affectionate. A true definition of a lap dog, he loves hard. He absolutely loves attention from his people and will happily roll onto his back for belly rubs and cuddles. He especially enjoys relaxing in bed with the adults in the house and simply being close to his family.   Sinbad has grown up with four children and, for many years, showed incredible patience as they played with him, hugged him, and climbed all over him. As he’s entered his senior years, however, he prefers a quieter lifestyle and has less tolerance for the constant activity that comes with a busy household of young children.   One thing that’s important to know about Sinbad is that he has always displayed some resource-guarding tendencies with high-value items like his balls, toys, and bones. Once he’s finished playing fetch and takes his ball to settle down, he prefers to be left alone with it. Because of this, he would do best with owners who understand canine body language and are willing to simply give him his space when he has something he considers valuable.   His present family has grown over the years, and with children now ages 2, 4, 9, and 11, his home has become much busier than it was when Sinbad was younger. While he still craves attention and affection, he no longer enjoys the constant hustle and bustle. Now,  he deserves a quieter home where he can be the center of someone’s world again.   Sinbad would thrive in an adult-only home or one with older, dog-savvy children who understand and respect his boundaries. He would make a wonderful companion for a single person, couple, or retired family looking for a loyal, loving dog to share their days with. He has so much love to give and simply wants a peaceful home where he can enjoy walks, snuggles, belly rubs, and all the attention he deserves.   (posted 4/5/26, RH)  Adoption Fee:  $100.00  August 19, 2026, 3:54 pm

Story
Meet Sydney, an adorable 9-month-old, 30 lbs, Catahoula Leopard mix with a heart as beautiful as her unique markings. She’s at that fun age where she’s eager to learn, loves to play, and is ready to become someone’s loyal best friend. Sydney is a wonderful dog, and enjoys the company of other dogs, making her a great addition to an active family. She hasn’t been introduced to cats yet, so her compatibility with feline friends is still unknown. Like many puppies her age, Sydney is still working on house training, but she’s a smart girl who is eager to learn. With consistency, patience, and lots of praise, she’ll continue making great progress. Every puppy deserves someone willing to help them grow into the amazing dog they’re meant to be, and Sydney is no exception. Whether she’s exploring the backyard, going on adventures, or snuggling up after a day of fun, Sydney is happiest when she’s with her people. She has so much love to give and is ready to fill her forever home with laughter, loyalty, and unconditional love. Sydney has been waiting for her chance at a happy ending. Could that be with you? Open your heart, give this sweet girl the forever family she deserves, and watch her blossom into the incredible companion she’s meant to be. Sydney is spayed, fully vetted, heartworm negative and microchipped. Please sign up for your first month of pet insurance on us! Story
Hello, our names are June and Suzy! We are two of the funniest girls you have ever met and even though we are sisters, we are not a bonded pair. We are 7-month-old Black. Out Cur mix girls who weigh around 48-51 pounds. We are great with people, children, dogs/ puppies, cats/kittens. We were first seen on this country road on 04/06/2026. This is when my foster family saw us. When they came back by, we were gone. The next day we were spotted in the same area. Thankfully some Samaritans picked us up and took us to the rescue where we are playing, getting healthy and ready to head home. We are ready to start an adventure of a lifetime.  We both want to go on hikes, explore, go to the beach, and most importantly, snuggle with you. We are social with other dogs, crate trained, and would love cats once we are introduced to them.  June and Suzy are spayed, fully vetted and microchipped.
