At first I’ll size you up like a seasoned diplomat, but once youve passed the sniff test (bonus points if you brought treats), Im all in for cuddles and goofy play. Im great with other dogs and kind humans, including kids, and Ive been fully vetted, vaccinated, and neutered—basically, Im a gentleman in a tux. If youre the type who respects a slow warm-up and then welcomes the most loyal sidekick you’ll ever meet, Ive got your back (and your couch). Im still in Qatar, but can be transported to an approved foster or adopter. I cant wait to meet you!

Dude is the definition of love bug. He would be an excellent walking companion. He loves playing with toys and running in the yard.  He loves to lounge with the caretakers and be rubbed all over. And then there was one... Some people might feel bad for me since I am the very last puppy left in my litter, but if you ask me, they just saved the best for last! My name is Rafa. I am currently about 3 months old and 22 pounds, which means I am going to be a big, lovable guy when I am fully grown. One of my siblings actually just got a DNA test done, and nobody was surprised when it came back as a mix of German Shepherd, Great Pyrenees, and Rhodesian Ridgeback! That DNA mix explains my coolest feature: I have a unique ridge of hair running right down my back that grows in the opposite direction of the rest of my coat. Fun fact about my ridge: it is a incredibly rare genetic trait shared by only three breeds in the entire world! Some old-school dog breeders have a romantic saying that the ridge is actually "where God sewed them up after stuffing them with love." On me, it just looks like a permanent, dashing mohawk! Aside from being uniquely handsome, I am an amazing puppy. Because I have been staying in a foster home, I already know how to behave in a house. I am completely crate trained and do not have accidents when walked on a regular schedule. I even sleep through the night without needing any late-night potty breaks! I am smart, have great manners, and have already mastered the "sit" command. Since I am highly food-motivated, teaching me new things will be a breeze. I am also a total sweetheart—I am wonderful with kids, love other dogs, and did great when I met a cat. With continued socialization, I'd do just fine in a home with a feline friend. Because I already have the basics down, I would be the perfect match for a first-time puppy family. I am just waiting for the right home to come along and shower me with love! We do not schedule meet and greets without an approved application. https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/PDAR/Dog 98% of our adoptables come from out of state. There are higher fees associated as we have to pay to have the animals transported. We are a non-profit rescue. Any access revenue made is used to care for animals with additional medical expenditures that would otherwise result in adoptable dogs having to be left behind and euthanized. The adoption fee for this dog is $550 which helps with the cost of routine vet care. This fee DOES NOT INCLUDE spay/neuter. You will be required to sign a contract legally obligating you to have the animal altered. A $100.00 will be returned to the adopter once the animal has been sterilized. We will need proof of sterilization from the vet in order to receive the $100.

Sinbad is a handsome, approximately 9-year-old mix of Rhodesian Ridgeback and Mountain Cur, weighing about 75 pounds Sinbad has spent his entire life on a horse farm surrounded by animals and family. He has lived with horses, cats, chickens, and another dog with whom he gets along well. He’s comfortable around horses, although he does enjoy trying to chase the chickens and cats if given the opportunity.   Sinbad loves being outside. Playing fetch and Frisbee are some of his favorite activities, and he always enjoys going for walks. As he’s gotten older, he’s become even more affectionate. A true definition of a lap dog, he loves hard. He absolutely loves attention from his people and will happily roll onto his back for belly rubs and cuddles. He especially enjoys relaxing in bed with the adults in the house and simply being close to his family.   Sinbad has grown up with four children and, for many years, showed incredible patience as they played with him, hugged him, and climbed all over him. As he’s entered his senior years, however, he prefers a quieter lifestyle and has less tolerance for the constant activity that comes with a busy household of young children.   One thing that’s important to know about Sinbad is that he has always displayed some resource-guarding tendencies with high-value items like his balls, toys, and bones. Once he’s finished playing fetch and takes his ball to settle down, he prefers to be left alone with it. Because of this, he would do best with owners who understand canine body language and are willing to simply give him his space when he has something he considers valuable.   His present family has grown over the years, and with children now ages 2, 4, 9, and 11, his home has become much busier than it was when Sinbad was younger. While he still craves attention and affection, he no longer enjoys the constant hustle and bustle. Now,  he deserves a quieter home where he can be the center of someone’s world again.   Sinbad would thrive in an adult-only home or one with older, dog-savvy children who understand and respect his boundaries. He would make a wonderful companion for a single person, couple, or retired family looking for a loyal, loving dog to share their days with.
