Story
Blue is 4 years old and has been with our family since he was a puppy. Breed is unknown as we got him from the shelter in Arizona where we used to live. He has been an indoor dog his whole life, but he has lots of energy and we walk or jog with him daily. He loves being outside as well. He is crate trained for sleeping at night and is obedient, mostly. He would probably make a great hunting dog with some training. He rarely barks, but has become more protective lately and once every week or two will bark if someone approaches the house. He has been trained with the Invisible Fence and does well staying in the yard with it on. He does get excited to see us and sometimes jumps up on people. This has become a problem for us and the neighbors and is one of the reasons we have decided to find a new home for him.

Story
URGENT: Cash Needs a Safe Haven by May 15th   Cash is a beautiful 6-year-old, 55-pound Rhodesian Ridgeback mix who has spent his entire life as a deeply loved family companion. Now, through no fault of his own, he is facing a critical deadline to find a new home—or even a foster—by May 15th.   Cash has always had a sensitive, gentle nature. While he has thrived in a calm and predictable home, recent changes have been overwhelming for him. The addition of a baby who is now a busy, walking toddler has brought constant movement, noise, and unpredictability into his world. For a dog who depends on peace and routine to feel secure, it has simply become too much. Cash isn’t acting out—he’s anxious and no longer feels that sense of safety in the place he once called home.   Despite this, Cash is an incredibly loving dog. He is a true snuggler and a couch companion who finds joy in being close to his people. He loves human connection and does well playing with other dogs, making him an easy and rewarding addition to the right home. What he needs now is a quieter environment, ideally with older children or adults, where he can relax, rebuild his confidence, and feel at peace again.   His family loves him deeply, and this decision is heartbreaking, but they know it is what’s best for him. They want Cash to have the chance to truly thrive in a home that fits his needs.   Even a foster home would be a lifesaving solution while a permanent home is found.   Time is critical. Cash must have a place to go by May 15th. There are no other options.   If you can help give Cash the calm, safe space he so desperately needs, please reach out right away at ccrnewengland@gmail.com or text 615-661-5333.   Please share—his second chance could be just one person away. ❤️   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMay 19, 2026, 5:05 pm

Story
I`m Walnut, the super pooch! My life was an adventure before I landed here. I was just a curious pup exploring the world with my sidekick Cashew. One day, I spotted a dog pestering a neighborhood. I`m not a fan of big dogs, but I knew I had to step up. Using my superpower - the irresistible `Puppy Eyes`, I distracted him long enough for the Animal Control to swoop in. My bravery led me here, where I`m now known as the `Mellow Hero` (outside the kennel). I may not wear a cape, but I`ve got a heart full of love and a never-ending appetite for treats. If you`re looking for a loyal companion who can make everyday feel like a comic book adventure, look no further. Adopt me, and let`s write our superhero story together!
