Looking for a big, chill pup? Bourbon is a huge, adorable, and sweet pup! He’s just four months old and already 35 lbs! He’s the laidback pup of the litter, and loves to be with people. It’s rumored that there is Rhodesian Ridgeback in the Dad, and there is definitely German Shepherd in there. These are going to be some big, loyal, sweet puppies! They are from an awful, dog hoarding situation, and we haven’t gotten all the dogs out yet. The more that we get adopted, the sooner that we can get more of them to safety. We are providing food and spays in the meantime. Please help us help more dogs! Message us for more info on ways to help and more info on handsome Bourbon! All dogs from this rescue are transported from Alabama to the Pennsylvania/ New England area and delivered in Pennsylvania and RI. Each dog will come fully vetted. Price also includes transportation and a Health Certificate as required by law. There is a 100.00 deposit required at the time of adoption to secure the transport crate. The remainder of the fee will be paid once you pick up the dog. Naturally the 100.00 comes off the total owed at pick up. It will be refunded if for any reason you decide you do not want to adopt, unless the transport has already left.with the dog. Lucy Lu is around 3 years old and 68 lbs. She is on the shorter side and solid build.  She is a sweet girl that starts off very shy.  It doesn’t take long to win her over and once you have her trust you also have her whole heart.  She will fall deeply in love with you and will be that dog that is estactic to see you whether it has been hours or minutes apart. She is very calm inside and likes her dog bed and an occasional toy.  She loves almost all treats. She is housebroken and crate trained. She is an easy, super quiet dog. She likes exploring outside and playing but doesn’t stay outside long as she would rather be inside with you to just hang out and be part of whatever is going on. She is dog friendly but is also shy at first and just needs to see that the other dog wants to be her friend.  She would be fine as the only dog or with another dog sibling to hang out with.  She will do best with a low to medium energy dog. She would be fine with older kids as she might get too excited playing and jump up with smaller children. She is leash trained but will also be a little shy walking in new surroundings. She does become very scared in a kennel environment like being boarding and will just curl in in a ball waiting for you to come back for her.  Although she is reserved and shy with anything new, once she knows she is in a safe place, she has unlimited amounts of love to share.  She is going to be the most loyal, love you with all her heart for the rest of her life, addition to the right family. If you would like to meet her, apply at bcaaofnj.org  Interested in adopting this pet?Click here for BCAA's on-line Application! Meet Boone: Boone is about a 1 year old (as of August 2023) catahoula mix (best guess) that weighs about 38 pounds. Boone was found as a stray dumped at a local Walmart in the south. Boone is currently being fostered near Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Boone is a fun and playful dog that is super sweet. He can be skittish with sudden movements and does not feel comfortable on a leash yet.  His foster has been working with him, but he currently just shuts down and gets nervous when on a leash. He loves to play when outside and does really well with the other dogs in the house.  Boone loves the resident foster cat, but gets very excited when he sees him - so he may not be for every cat! He shows no signs of aggression at all. Although he hasn’t been around kids, his foster thinks his demeanor would work will with children. Boone’s ideal home would have another dog to play with. Boone is house trained and has had no accidents in his foster home.  He is crate trained, but is trusted to be left out freely in his foster home if they will just be out for a quick trip. Boone will need a home with a fence so he can play freely. Boone is up to date on his shots and neutered.
