Story
Meet Star! 🌟 Star is a 4-year-old Catahoula/Hound mix with a heart every bit as big as her personality. This girl has been through more than most dogs ever should - she was shot, and the bullet went through her jaw and ear. She underwent jaw surgery, and as a result, her tongue now hangs out permanently. But Star doesn’t let her past define her. She is pure resilience wrapped in sweetness. Star is incredibly affectionate and so happy-natured. She loves to run, explore, and play, but she also knows how to wind down and melt into you for snuggles - the perfect balance of fun and companionship. She does wonderfully with kids and gets along beautifully with other dogs, but would do best in a feline-free home as her instints may lead her to chase. She enjoys car rides and would make a wonderful adventure buddy for someone who wants a loyal co-pilot by their side. She’s very smart, already knows “sit,” and uses the doggie door like a total pro. Star is spayed, fully vaccinated, and ready to find the family who will love her for the amazing, one-of-a-kind girl she is. If you’re looking for a dog with a beautiful soul and an even more beautiful spirit, Star is your girl. 💛🐾 RPACI is a non profit rescue, and currently possess our 501C3 to operate as such. All dogs from this rescue are transported from Alabama to the Pennsylvania/ New England area and delivered in Pennsylvania and RI. Each dog will come fully vetted. Price also includes transportation and a Health Certificate as required by law. There is a 100.00 deposit required at the time of adoption to secure the transport crate. The remainder of the fee will be paid once you pick up the dog. Naturally the 100.00 comes off the total owed at pick up. It will be refunded if for any reason you decide you do not want to adopt, unless the transport has already left.with the dog.
