Story
Sinbad is a handsome, approximately 9-year-old mix of Rhodesian Ridgeback and Mountain Cur, weighing about 75 pounds Sinbad has spent his entire life on a horse farm surrounded by animals and family. He has lived with horses, cats, chickens, and another dog with whom he gets along well. He’s comfortable around horses, although he does enjoy trying to chase the chickens and cats if given the opportunity.   Sinbad loves being outside. Playing fetch and Frisbee are some of his favorite activities, and he always enjoys going for walks. As he’s gotten older, he’s become even more affectionate. A true definition of a lap dog, he loves hard. He absolutely loves attention from his people and will happily roll onto his back for belly rubs and cuddles. He especially enjoys relaxing in bed with the adults in the house and simply being close to his family.   Sinbad has grown up with four children and, for many years, showed incredible patience as they played with him, hugged him, and climbed all over him. As he’s entered his senior years, however, he prefers a quieter lifestyle and has less tolerance for the constant activity that comes with a busy household of young children.   One thing that’s important to know about Sinbad is that he has always displayed some resource-guarding tendencies with high-value items like his balls, toys, and bones. Once he’s finished playing fetch and takes his ball to settle down, he prefers to be left alone with it. Because of this, he would do best with owners who understand canine body language and are willing to simply give him his space when he has something he considers valuable.   His present family has grown over the years, and with children now ages 2, 4, 9, and 11, his home has become much busier than it was when Sinbad was younger. While he still craves attention and affection, he no longer enjoys the constant hustle and bustle. Now,  he deserves a quieter home where he can be the center of someone’s world again.   Sinbad would thrive in an adult-only home or one with older, dog-savvy children who understand and respect his boundaries. He would make a wonderful companion for a single person, couple, or retired family looking for a loyal, loving dog to share their days with. He has so much love to give and simply wants a peaceful home where he can enjoy walks, snuggles, belly rubs, and all the attention he deserves.   (posted 4/5/26, RH)  Adoption Fee:  $100.00  August 18, 2026, 4:14 pm

Story
Mae Mae Mae Mae is approximately a 4 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback and is absolutely beautiful and reminds you of a small deer. Mae Mae is as sweet as can be. If you are looking for a low maintenance, couch loving, tv watching, sometimes plays with toys dog, then she is your go to girl. Mae Mae was found in an abandoned building with a severely broken leg which had to be amputated. She is still a resilient girl after all that she has been through. Mae Mae spends her days being lazy on the couch and looking out the window to be apart of the neighborhood watch. Mae Mae is housebroken; she also uses the doggy door in her foster home. Mae Mae knows some commands and if you tell her to go to her crate, she will go in without repetitive asking. Mae Mae sometimes plays with toys and/or chews on bones. Mae Mae loves to be around her people. Mae Mae does not let having three legs dampen her spirit at all. Mae Mae loved playing in the snow we had, will run around the backyard, jump on the bed and sprawl out and roll around when she is happy. Mae Mae is now ready to find her furever home. Mae Mae is currently fostered with other dogs. Mae Mae will need someone who is a leader and will keep that leadership role in the home. Of course with any dog, the decompression stage is very important, as well as slow introductions and understanding. Story
Ferguson is a handsome 4-year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback mix looking for a new family through no fault of his own. Sadly, his owner has a terminal illness and can no longer care for him. Ferguson is neutered, up to date on his vaccinations, and is currently being trained both on- and off-leash by Beth Bradley Dog Training. He is a loyal, intelligent dog who will thrive in the right home. Because he has a high prey drive, he will do best in a home without small animals or young children. He would also likely do best as an only dog or with female dogs only, depending on a proper introduction. He's looking for an experienced owner who can provide structure, exercise, and plenty of love. It will take a few days for Ferguson to trust you but once he does he will reward you with loyalty and companionship. Ferguson deserves a fresh start during this difficult time. If you think you could give him the safe, loving home he deserves, please reach out. Please share to help Ferguson find his forever home. All our dogs/pups are spayed/neutered and microchipped prior to adoption. They have been dewormed and are current on vaccinations. Our adoption fee includes 30 days of complimentary medical insurance for your new pet. Breed and size is frequently a guess and can not be guaranteed. Our dogs are fostered on a private residence, we do not have a free standing shelter Initial contact with us must be made through e-mail. E-mail ARFofMercer@gmail.com directly for an adoption application or with any questions. Once your adoption application is approved, you will be invited to meet our dogs/puppies.

Hi! I’m Rudy, dog 2 of the inseparable duo full of love and laughter. We're young, smart, and have tons of energy to play and explore. We might be a bit shy at first, but give us a moment, and we'll be your cuddly companions. We love being goofy and making our friends laugh with our funny antics. We're also very gentle and friendly, perfect pals for any family. We're looking for a forever home where we can share all our love. Adopt us for endless fun and friendship! Sadly, Lil Man and Rudy were abandoned in a small rural county in Mississippi. The mother and her three pups were homeless and were living in the woods when a local police officer contacted the rescue for help. The police brought the two males, Lil Man and Rudy, and their sister, Scarlet to the rescue. Scarlet went to a rescue in Maine leaving Lil Man and Rudy behind waiting. These 2 boys are so bonded that we wish they could go together. They absolutely adore each other. they were raised inside before becoming homeless, so they are house trained. We are looking for the perfect home for these two boys. They are the sweetest, most lovable dogs that anyone could ever want. They just need a loving home and a pet owner that is willing to love them. . This animal is being fostered in the South but transport to a location near you is included in your adoption fee. We use Rescue Riders Pet Transport, (www.rescueridersllc.net), the most animal-friendly transport on the road.

Story
Meet Catalina  – A Beautiful Catahoula mix girl puppy looking for her forever adventure with you!   Catalina is a gorgeous puppy who was born on April 14th and currently weighs 14 pounds as of July 6th .  Her momma is colored just like her and is a Catahoula mix (mostly Catahoula) and is the most wonderful young adult girl with a beautiful spirit and temperament.  All the puppies have received her personality that is loving and fun and confident.    Like so many puppies across the South, Catalina was born to a momma dog that was a stray and the litter of 8 puppies were with a struggling single mom with 3 kids that found her jpregnant and needing a place to have her babies.  At 6 weeks Critter Cavalry Rescue took the big family with their momma and promised to help find everyone a home that would be perfect for them.  Miss Catalina has been raised around young children, other grown dogs, her puppy siblings and has attended many  Puppy Yoga classes at the local YMCAs in Tennessee.  She is no stranger to meeting new people at all.  Currently her foster home is teaching her crate training, potty breaks and routines and she is coming along nicely.  Her active breed and intelligence for exploring and seeking new adventures, will require her to be in a home with a fenced yard.  She will most likely be a 50 pound adult like her beautiful mom Katyia.     This sweet girl is everything you love about a young vibrant, cuddly fun puppy.  She is smart, curious, playful, and eager to explore the world around her. She is quiet and yet can get the playful zoomies when encouraged by her playmate canines.  She will easily form strong bonds with those who show her kindness.   Catalina loves other dogs and would enjoy having a canine companion to play with and also cuddle. She would also thrive as the center of attention in an active home. Most importantly, she is ready to begin making memories with a family who will include her in their adventures.   A securely fenced yard will be a requirement for Catalina's new future home.  This will give her a safe place to run and burn off puppy energy. Daily walks, outings, and continued training will help her grow into the amazing companion we know she can be. All she needs now is someone willing to take a chance on her. In return, she’ll spend every day showing her gratitude with tail wags, kisses, and unwavering devotion.   ❤️ If you’re looking for a best friend to share life’s adventures, Catalina  may be the perfect match. To learn more or apply to adopt her, please email ccrnewengland@gmail.com and tell us where you live when inquiring. Critter Cavalry Rescue is based in Tennessee and adopts throughout Tennessee and the Northeast, with transport available almost every weekend.       PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comAugust 18, 2026, 1:14 pm
