Story
KENNEL ID #18804 Rudy was rescued from a high-kill shelter in Greene County, TN, where overcrowding forces heartbreaking decisions every day. Some were strays never reclaimed. Others were surrendered by their families — and sadly, owner surrenders are the first to be euthanized, as they receive no stray hold. Rudy was a stray and was so pitiful in the shelter. Rudy weighs approx. 30lbs. Thankfully, our rescue partner in Tennessee stepped in just in time, saving 15 incredible dogs from the “last call” list. Each has now received full veterinary care and is preparing for a fresh start in PA. Despite their past, these dogs are full of hope and heart. Could this survivor be your new best friend? Rudy is hanging out with his rescuer and foster mom, Carol, in Tennessee. If you have any questions, please email her at abandonedangelsinc@gmail.com. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Douglas — our 72-lb Gentle Giant with a Baby’s Heart Douglas is estimated to be about 1.5–2 years old, and he’s every bit the sweetheart his soft eyes promise. He gets along wonderfully with all dogs, carries himself with calm confidence, and melts the moment you give him attention. This big boy loves nothing more than resting his head on your chest like an oversized baby who just wants to feel close. He listens beautifully, learns quickly, and is already well on his way with potty training. He’s also fully crate trained — he settles in quietly and sleeps through the night without a peep. Douglas is loyal, loving, and ready for a home where he can be someone’s big shadow and best friend. Whoever adopts him will be getting a treasure. Thank you for checking out our wonderful orphans. Story
If you would like to apply to take ZEUS home, click the link next to their picture, or Visit our website at Www.godogsgorescue.org and fill out an application! We look forward to hearing from you. Apollo (tan) and Zeus (black) Are brothers that are about 8 months old and weigh about 28lbs each at the moment They were dumped out on a road and extremely lucky to have been found by someone willing to house them until they can find a home. Apollo looks more black mouth cur, while Zeus is more lab looking. Both boys are extremely handsome! They are good with other dogs, and very affectionate, Apollo is more forward in his approach and more confident whilst Zeus stands back for a minute and watches before putting himself forward. He’s a little more reserved but does warm up quite quickly. They play together as brothers do, all noise and no real action. They are very fond of each other but not bonded. Energy level is about 7/10 on both

She started out being clearly nervous and skittish around us -- and who could blame her after what she's experienced in the world so far? But it's been the most amazing thing to see her change from day to day, becoming more confident and loving and playful from one day to the next. This girl has a lot of love to give, and absolutely adores being loved on. While she still has a long way to go to being her most confident self, with the quick progress she's making, it's clear the only thing standing between her and her best self is a little time and a lot of love. Geyran happily sleeps in her crate with the door open during the night, doesn't bother you when you're still sleeping, and then comes to greet you and get some rubs when you get out of bed. She is a very clever girl, and despite having never lived in a home before, knows to only potty outside. First thing in the morning she follows close behind me to the front door, then goes straight outside to do her business. During the day she naps on her bed in the living room, and makes trips outside with us when we go out. She is a huge fan of taking a walk on the trail in the woods behind our house. We have been trying to convince her to take it easy with short jaunts only while she adjusts from a more sedentary life in the Oman rescue and GaDah rescue, to being more active. Geyran certainly seems to be good with other dogs, because she manages to get on with our dog Apollo, who has a fairly severe case of only-child syndrome and wants everything to be about him. While Apollo does resource guard us despite our best efforts, Geyran takes it in stride. While I don't think they'll ever be snuggle buddies, they get along as well as we ever could have hoped considering what a tough nut to crack Apollo is. Geyran does try to engage Apollo in play sometimes, but our snooty dog has mostly turned his nose up at her. The only chance we've had to see them play together is when we get either Geyran or Apollo worked up and when one starts to do some zoomies, then the other usually can't resist joining in and suddenly they are lapping the house together. When we bring Geyran into the bedroom at night to sleep, she first comes to our bedside to get lots of rubs alongside Apollo before we turn out the lights and she heads into her crate. She's come to love this routine, and she seems so happy when the both of us are giving attention to them together....I think it's her favorite part of the day. It's honestly been making it harder and harder to stop giving her attention and turn off the light each night. I hope someone out there will finally give this sweet, sweet girl the chance she deserves to find her family, and discover all that she has to give once she has a chance to settle down in her forever home.
