Winnie Bear is a young Rhodesian Ridgeback mix who was found abandoned in mid-July. After being treated for a high temperature from the heat, she spent time in a foster home and with a family before coming back to us.Winnie Bear is:• Spayed, microchipped, and house trained• Calm in the house and no longer requires anxiety medication• Sweet, loving, and enjoys long walks• Very fond of playing with the water hose• Best suited for a home without small dogs or young childrenShe is a very sweet dog, but we have found she can be rowdy around kids and recently went after our smaller dog over a toy. While no biting was involved, she would be happiest with bigger playful dogs or with an active owner and a nice yard where she can thrive.💰 Rehoming fee: $150

Story
After a life of being used for breeding, Jane came to HERO nervous of people, but looking for love. Jane realized pretty quickly that she prefers the good life where she can play with other dogs and get love from people over her previous life. Jane, who is 50ish lbs and 2-3 years old, loves everything about the pet dog life and shows how much she loves it with her amazing smile. She loves playing with her foster dog siblings, she loves relaxing on couches and getting pets. She loves a full belly and time in the yard running around enjoying the sun. While Jane is not very picky about her playmates, she just loves being able to be a young hound instead of a mother 24/7. Jane is cat and kid friendly. She is housetrained and crate trained. She may need assistance with leash training, but is completely housetrained with a doggy door and enjoys having a fenced yard. If you are looking for a gentle and silly adult girl who is also still enjoying her missed puppy days, who will cherish your endless love and affection, Jane is your girl. Story
After a life of being used for breeding, Martha came to HERO scared of people with a complete lack of confidence. After months of patience and love, Martha is now used to the good life and looking for a person or family of her own who will love, cuddle and give her the good life. Martha, who is 60-65ish lbs and 7 years, is mostly a couch potato and cuddler who just wants to be loved on and as close to as her person as possible as often as possible. If you let her, she loves to snuggle in bed, though she takes up at least half of it lol. She loves to stretch our in a recliner or across the couch. Her favorite activity now, is getting kisses, hugs and love. Martha does spend some time playing with her older more dignified foster siblings in her home and we believe would play more and be more active in a home with less dogs as she is in a foster home with several younger dogs and seems a little overwhelmed. Martha is also cat and kid friendly. Despite being bigger, she is a gentle giant who just wants to enjoy the good dog life. Martha is housetrained and crate trained. She may need assistance with leash training, but is completely housetrained with a doggy door and enjoys having a fenced yard. If you are looking for a gentle soul with a big heart who will cherish your endless love and affection, Martha is your girl.
