Story
I adopted Bo from the local shelter in January 2025 as a pup.He was born in November 2024. He's so fun and energetic and has so much love to give. He loves to run and play outside and loves to go hiking and on runs and walks. I have had him inside some and he made decent progress on potty training. He is mainly an outside doggie except for when there’s bad weather, he stayed in the garage. He stays in my fenced backyard mostly and occasionally he comes inside for an hour or so. He will sit on command. Bo would be best with a family or person who could give him more attention and be active with him. He deserves it. I think he would do best with teens/older children who want to run and play outside or an adult who enjoys running outside. Please only respond if you would seriously give Bo lots of love and attention. He hasn't ever shown any aggression towards people but is very protective and will bark and alert you if someone comes on your property he isn't familiar with.

Story
Meet Katya!    She recently gave birth to eight puppies. At just 18 months old and about 50 pounds, Katya is still very much a puppy herself. After doing an amazing job raising her babies, she’s ready to enjoy life, have fun, and be spoiled in a loving forever home.   Katya loves to play! She happily chases balls, grabs toys and zooms around the yard, and spends hours playing with her terrier foster sister. She also enjoys exploring and investigating everything around her. Like many young dogs, she may occasionally stroll by with a slipper in her mouth, just to remind you she’s still a puppy at heart. She is also incredibly affectionate. Katya loves curling up next to her people on the couch for pets and snuggles, or simply lying nearby wherever her family is gathered. She wants to be part of the action and close to the people she loves. She isn’t a big barker. If someone approaches the house, she’ll let you know, but otherwise she’s generally quiet and easygoing. At night, she sleeps peacefully in her crate and goes in willingly without fuss. She has learned to use the doggie door at her foster home and has been accident-free since figuring out the routine.Katya gets along wonderfully with other dogs and enjoys playing with her foster sister. She has also spent time around young children and genuinely enjoys being around people. Because of some possible hardships earlier in life, she may take a little extra time to warm up to men. However, once trust is established, she is affectionate and loving. She now happily seeks out her foster dad for scratches and pets. One of her sweetest qualities is how attentively she listens when you talk to her. She gazes into your eyes as if she understands every word. And she definitely knows how cute she is when she gently places a paw on your arm or in your lap—something she does often and always melts hearts.Katya is a gentle, loving, joyful girl who deserves a happy ending after spending so much of her young life caring for others. Now it’s her turn to be cared for, loved, and cherished. If you would like to give Katya the Cinderella story she deserves, please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com and let us know where you live.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.com   ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. Story
MEET RUTHIE — A GENTLE, CLUMSY GIRL LOOKING FOR HER PERSON Ruthie is a beautiful 1.5–2-year-old, 59 lb. yellow dog who looks like she may have some Anatolian Shepherd or Boxer in her mix. Her personality, though, is more Great Dane or Great Pyrenees: gentle, steady, loyal, and happiest near her people. She has short bursts of playful energy, followed by long, peaceful naps. Ruthie came into rescue after surviving on her own for several months in the Nashville area. Because of that, she can be cautious in new situations and needs an adopter who understands that trust may take a little time. Once she bonds, though, she bonds deeply. In her foster home, Ruthie has become loving, relaxed, and very attached to her person. She is house-trained, quiet in the home, gentle taking treats, and has never had an accident in her foster home. She enjoys hiking, dog park trips, squirrel patrol, mud, water, shade, and then settling down for a good nap. She has a sweet, clumsy play style and sometimes seems like she is still figuring out where all four legs are supposed to go. Ruthie is wonderful with other dogs and plays gently with dog friends of all sizes. She is also easy and gentle with children, greeting them with the same soft, cautious curiosity she uses with new adults. She would likely enjoy having a confident dog friend, but what she wants most is a person or family to belong to. Ruthie is not a dog who would thrive being left alone all day with limited interaction. A work-from-home adopter, active household, or home with another friendly dog would be a great fit. Because Ruthie is smart, strong, and resourceful, her forever family should be prepared to use extra safety precautions during the transition period. A fenced yard is strongly preferred. We also recommend a martingale collar, double leash setup, and an AirTag or GPS collar until she is fully settled and bonded. Ruthie is not difficult. She just needs someone thoughtful, patient, and confident enough to help her feel safe. She has already proven that once she trusts you, she is incredibly loyal and loving. RUTHIE’S IDEAL HOME: - Patient, confident adopter - Fenced yard preferred - Another friendly dog would be a plus, any size or disposition - Work-from-home or active family preferred - Someone willing to use transition safety tools at first - A home that understands cautious dogs can become the most devoted companions Ruthie is being fostered in Tennessee. Tennessee adoption is preferred, but Critter Cavalry does transport to the Northeast weekly for the right adopter. INTERESTED IN RUTHIE?
