Story
Meet Catalina  – A Beautiful Catahoula mix girl puppy looking for her forever adventure with you!   Catalina is a gorgeous puppy who was born on April 14th and currently weighs 14 pounds as of July 6th .  Her momma is colored just like her and is a Catahoula mix (mostly Catahoula) and is the most wonderful young adult girl with a beautiful spirit and temperament.  All the puppies have received her personality that is loving and fun and confident.    Like so many puppies across the South, Catalina was born to a momma dog that was a stray and the litter of 8 puppies were with a struggling single mom with 3 kids that found her jpregnant and needing a place to have her babies.  At 6 weeks Critter Cavalry Rescue took the big family with their momma and promised to help find everyone a home that would be perfect for them.  Miss Catalina has been raised around young children, other grown dogs, her puppy siblings and has attended many  Puppy Yoga classes at the local YMCAs in Tennessee.  She is no stranger to meeting new people at all.  Currently her foster home is teaching her crate training, potty breaks and routines and she is coming along nicely.  Her active breed and intelligence for exploring and seeking new adventures, will require her to be in a home with a fenced yard.  She will most likely be a 50 pound adult like her beautiful mom Katyia.     This sweet girl is everything you love about a young vibrant, cuddly fun puppy.  She is smart, curious, playful, and eager to explore the world around her. She is quiet and yet can get the playful zoomies when encouraged by her playmate canines.  She will easily form strong bonds with those who show her kindness.   Catalina loves other dogs and would enjoy having a canine companion to play with and also cuddle. She would also thrive as the center of attention in an active home. Most importantly, she is ready to begin making memories with a family who will include her in their adventures.   A securely fenced yard will be a requirement for Catalina's new future home.  This will give her a safe place to run and burn off puppy energy. Daily walks, outings, and continued training will help her grow into the amazing companion we know she can be. All she needs now is someone willing to take a chance on her. In return, she’ll spend every day showing her gratitude with tail wags, kisses, and unwavering devotion.   ❤️ If you’re looking for a best friend to share life’s adventures, Catalina  may be the perfect match. To learn more or apply to adopt her, please email ccrnewengland@gmail.com and tell us where you live when inquiring. Critter Cavalry Rescue is based in Tennessee and adopts throughout Tennessee and the Northeast, with transport available almost every weekend.       PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comAugust 25, 2026, 11:02 am

Story
Meet Rocky Road, a very playful and energetic dog who is ready for any adventure you bring his way! He was recently returned to us due to no fault of his own. He is potty trained, does well with other dogs, and people of all ages. Rocky does have some separation anxiety but that just means he loves your company! With consistent training this can be worked on and improved. He needs an active owner who is able to provide him with daily exercise and mental stimulation because his breed is a working dog breed. This is very important and can/will become destructive inside the home due to boredom. If you feel you might be a match please fill out an application to see him!

Story
This lovely lady is Josie and her best friend forever is Betty Sue. These lovely ladies have been together their entire life and will need to go home together. Both have lived with children and cats in their previous home. These dynamic duo was brought to our shelter at no fault of their own and would love to find their perfect retirement home. Josie can be vocal at times so renters should be aware that she may sing her song when left alone for long periods. She will also need a dental that will be completed at our clinic next door. Our kennel team can discuss this more in depth at the time of your visit. Any resident canines will need to come and meet both these lovely ladies to make sure everyone gets along. Josie enjoys the company of her best friend Betty Sue, a nice soft bed, and nice long walks. Josie`s walks and some moderate exercise along with limited calories will be important as she is on a weight loss journey! If you would like to meet this amazing pair of senior ladies please speak with our kennel staff who will be happy to help.

Story
Beau is a pure bred catahoula leopard hound from a breeder in Tennessee. He’s a little over 1 year old and has just been neutered. He’s fully vaccinated and very healthy. He’s very energetic and playful and has a sweet and silly personality. He loves his family and is very tolerant of our kids. We can put our hands in his mouth, pull his tail and ears, mess with his paws, and he never snaps or growls at us. He has been trained over the last year for gluten detection and is eager to learn new skills. He would do well with any kind of scent work. He’s very high drive and needs an active job or a very large space to run. He is rough with our older dog and doesn’t back down when she tries to put him in his place. Having moved to a much smaller piece of property has shown that we can’t keep up with his needs.
