Story
#A5747248 Say hello to Rita , our 5-year-old Rottweiler mix and the ultimate chonky love muffin, with perfectly squishy rolls that just beg for pets. She’s like a little teddy bear wrapped in a luxurious black-and-brown coat, impossible not to adore. Rita came in as a stray with a leg injury, which sadly required amputation, but this resilient girl is adjusting beautifully to life as a tripod. With a little extra TLC and patience, she’ll be bouncing back to her best self and running around on three legs in no time! She may be a bit shy at the shelter, peeking up with big, soulful puppy-dog eyes, but give her time to decompress and her true, loving personality will shine through. Rita is ready for a patient, caring home where she can flourish and show just how amazing she really is! Will that be with you? -5 year old black and brown Rottweiler mix  -65 pound female -up to date on all shots and preventatives, so ready to go home with you today! Story
#A5752687 Mane is a 1-year, 1-month-old male Rottweiler with a classic black and brown coat and a big, handsome presence. Found as a stray on January 29, 2026, Mane weighs 94.5 lbs and is every bit the strong, beautiful young Rottie, but right now, he’s feeling overwhelmed and shut down in the shelter environment. Mane is very shy and tends to take treats and quietly walk away, unsure of his surroundings. Beneath that timid exterior is a big boy with a lot of love to give. He’ll need a patient, experienced home willing to move slowly, build trust, and help him gain confidence. With reassurance and structure, Mane has the potential to blossom into a loyal, devoted companion. He is adoptable with a $50 trust deposit and is ready for a fresh start in a calm, understanding home. -1 year, 1 month old, male, 94.5 lbs -Rottweiler, black and brown coat -Found as a stray on 01/29/2026 -Very shy and shut down in the shelter -Takes treats gently but withdraws -Big, handsome boy with a sweet nature -Needs a patient, experienced adopter -Adoptable with a $50 trust deposit -Loyal companion potential with time and trust     MANE’S VIDEO: https://youtube.com/shorts/unPk0Fs3hOM     For more information, contact volunteer Lor at  lor@unitedhopeforanimals.org     ------- United Hope for Animals (UHA) is a volunteer group and does not have a facility for animals.  This pet is part of our Shelter Support Program at the Baldwin Park Shelter. Story
This beautiful guy is Chili who was rescued in the knick of time from the Downey shelter in LA.Chili is very sweet and playful, but can easily get over stimulated and gets very excited when meeting a new person and starts jumping. Chili is in need of someone who can give him the exercise he needs and can handle his very exuberant personality. Therefore we are looking for a very calm, alpha human who can be a leader to him, preferably with Boxer experience. We are looking for a home for him where he will be the only pet with no children. Once he knows you Chili is actually is a very loving and affectionate guy who loves to play, really likes toys and loves to play fetch. He walks on the leash like an angel but gets excited when he seed other dogs, but gets along fine when meeting them. Chili is neutered, chipped, and up to date on all routine vaccinations. He is about 5 years old and weighs 65 pounds. If you would like to speak further about Chili, or if you think you are the right person for him and would like to meet him please contact us at pawparent@gmail.com or call 661-724-0642  November 4, 2024, 4:07 pm

Story
Soanky was found in a hot garage in San Antonio. Left there with his sister, Wilma, a mama dog and eight puppies, they were left with no food and no water for over a week. The three adult dogs ate a leather sofa, trying to stay alive. Fortunately, we found them. Unfortunately, he has been waiting over three years for someone to see what a sweet boy he is and bring him home. Spanky is dog friendly, however, he would be better with a medium or large size dog for a friend, as he sometimes forgets he is a larger dog. Spanky does not have a strong prey drive, however, he does not seem to comprehend how large he is and would do better not around smaller animals. Spanky is people friendly and kid friendly, he is middle of the road energy wise (half athlete, half couch potato), he is very outgoing, and incredibly sweet. Will you bring him home?
