Great dog for the right person. Please read all. This boy is the perfect protector for a single woman! He is social and friendly once you've earned his trust. He'll do anything for his people, but he needs a strong and confident leader. Once you have earned his loyalty, he is the best boy who will give you his heart. He is smart and highly trained. He knows advanced obedience and has taken several classes in protection work. He is trained to run alongside a bike, or when hiking, he will mind you off-leash. He is completely neutral and non-reactive to dogs that he comes across in a park or on a walk. When it comes to sharing his home, he prefers to have his own space, so I think he would do best as an only dog when not supervised. He can get possessive of toys in a small space if left alone with another dog. He loves the ocean, hikes, and car rides, and he will protect you from a creeper. Prefer someone with previous Rottie experience. Home check and application are required.

Meet Athena, she's a 4 year old Doberman /Pointer mix. Athena is a super sweet social girl who is great with dogs and kids and loves to be around lots of people. Athena needs to be an outside dog or a ranch dog as she has fecal incontinence and will not wear diapers so can not be house trained. Many tests have been done and there is not a cure for fecal incontinence. If you think Athena might fit into your family please come out to the ranch 34128 Agua Dulce Canyon Road any day between 8:00 and 7:00.

Barkley is a fantastic puppy. I haven’t seen any signs of fear toward people—in fact, I see very little fear at all. He seems to be a stable, confident, and balanced little guy. I haven’t noticed any separation anxiety outside the normal scope for a young puppy. He may whine a bit in the crate, but he settles quickly and recovers well. It’s not excessive and well within what’s typical for his age. Barkley is very patient during training. He follows a lure beautifully, and it’s easy to shape new behaviors with him. We’re currently working on marker words and leash skills, and he’s picking up the concepts quickly. This is going to be an easy dog to train. He’s also very neutral to loud noises and environmental stimuli, which is a great trait in a puppy. His energy level is mild—not over the top—which makes him a really enjoyable companion. Barkley’s going to make a wonderful dog for just about anyone Thank you for wanting to adopt from Hank's Legacy Foundation.
