Story
Ruby will surprise you in every way. She was listed as a lab mix, however her DNA says she is mostly Rottweiler and Catahoula Leopard Dog. What a great breed mix if you are looking for a guard dog that is full of hound and always has her nose to the ground when she is outside. She is very well behaved, knows every command even non verbal hand signals. She will retrieve a ball or toy all day and bring it right back to you and drop it at your feet. She loves to play with her toys and will throw them up in the air bounce them off her back and still catch them. We rescued her from the shelter on a foster to adopt trial basis to make sure she would be good with the cat. They loved each other from the first sight.

Story
Your New Shadow (With Big Puppy Paws 🐾) This 5-month-old Rottweiler baby is everything you love about the breed — loyal, affectionate, goofy… and currently convinced she’s a 10-pound lap dog. She is: • 🐶 Great with other dogs – Totally unbothered by dogs around her and just wants to play. • 🐱 Cat-tested & approved – She lived with a cat previously and is used to them. If a kitty gives her a “bap,” she just stands there shocked and doesn’t react. Zero drama. • 👶 Good with kids – Sweet and comfortable around little humans. • 🚗 Excellent in the car – Rides like a champ. • 💤 Professional snuggler – Will absolutely melt into you and fall asleep mid-cuddle. She is still a puppy, which means she’s a little rambunctious and doesn’t quite understand her size (or her volume level). She wants to play with everyone — including the cats — and is learning that not everyone shares her enthusiasm. But she’s respectful, not reactive, and easily redirected. She is not fully potty trained yet, but she’s actively working on it and improving every day. For only 5 months old, she is shockingly well-behaved and doesn’t get into much. She truly has a wonderful foundation — she just needs consistency and continued guidance. This girl will grow into a large, loyal companion. She’ll thrive in a home that understands big-breed puppies and can continue her training, socialization, and structure. In return? You’ll get a devoted best friend who thinks you are the center of her universe. If you’re ready for a sweet, slightly clumsy, oversized lap puppy who just wants to love and be loved — she’s waiting. 🖤

Story
Meet Archie 🖤 At just 6 months old, Archie is already proof that resilience comes in small, wiggly packages. This sweet Rottweiler mix may only be about 20 lbs right now — and we don’t expect him to be a big guy — but his personality? Absolutely larger than life. Archie is neutered, fully vaccinated, and thriving in his foster home. After a past spinal injury, he has worked incredibly hard to regain his strength. He’s walking well and continues to make amazing progress every single day. He may always have a slightly awkward gait and could develop early arthritis down the road, but none of that slows his happy, goofy, tail-wagging spirit. He doesn’t see himself as anything other than a normal, playful puppy — and we agree. He’s currently fostered with both dogs and cats and truly loves everyone. Archie is social, affectionate, and just wants to be part of the fun. Whether he’s playing with friends or soaking up attention from his people, he’s all in. Archie will need a family who understands his history and is committed to keeping him healthy and comfortable as he grows — but in return, you’ll get a loyal, joyful best friend who wakes up every day ready to live life to the fullest. If you’re looking for a pocket rottie with a huge heart and an unstoppable spirit, Archie is your guy. 🐾 Apply to adopt at https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/LUVR/dog All of our adoptable rescues have a clean bill of health (unless otherwise stated), are spayed/neutered, vaccinated (age-appropriately), tested (FeLV/FIV for cats over 8 months of age, HW for dogs over 6 months of age), current on flea and heartworm prevention and microchipped. This is all included in their adoption fee that goes in as a donation to help us cover their medical costs and continue to help other animals in need. Any questions, concerns and suggestions, please feel free to contact us at ALDR@animalluvrs.org.
