I really enjoy playing with toys, especially ones that squeak and are durable enough for me to chew on for quite some time! I do take some time to warm up to new people, but when I realize we're friends, I am a big ball of love! I am a staff favorite around here, but that is supposed to be a secret between you and me... I would do well in a home with kids, and I am the type of loyal dog that will protect them with my life. Hi guys and gals, I'm Brutus and I am 5 years old! I am a sweet and fun dude that loves to just hang out with you! I am here at the shelter because I was an outdoor dog and was chained outside during that really cold weather in January, and my owners wanted to surrender me. Since I am used to being an outdoor dog, sometimes when you hand me really delicious treats, I will hold onto it and bury it, so I can save it for later! I would make a great protection dog outdoors since I have the thick coat for it, or I would love to try and be an indoor dog! Staff thinks I would adjust well to being inside since I am food motivated, which would make it easy for me to learn house manners! I am pretty good on the leash, and I take corrections nicely (sometimes I like to jump to greet you). I would make a great candidate for a household with children and other dogs so that is a bonus for me! I also like to try and play with the power washer, so I could be a dog that loves the water...
