Story
If you’ve ever watched Riverdale, you already know Archie — the big, good-looking guy with a soft side who’s still figuring himself out. That’s this Archie. He’s a young Rottweiler with working-breed energy and a lot of untapped potential. He’s still very much a puppy and can be a little mouthy as he learns his manners, but he’s improving every day with structure and consistency. Archie is looking for an experienced home that understands Rotties and is excited to help guide him as he grows into a confident, well-balanced adult.Archie genuinely enjoys being around his people. He thrives on attention, builds strong bonds, and wants to be involved in whatever you’re doing. With continued socialization and confidence-building, he’s going to be a loyal, steady companion who takes his job seriously — especially if that job is being by your side.Archie gets along well with other dogs, but due to his size and play style, he would do best in a home without small dogs & cats.If you’re experienced with working breeds and want a young dog you can shape, train, and grow with, Archie could be your guy.Archie's adoption fee is $175, which helps support their medical care and preparation for adoption. If you are interested in meeting any of our animals, we encourage you to first visit our website and submit an adoption application: https://www.acskc.org/adopt-1Once your adoption application has been approved, we will call you to set up an appointment to meet with the pet! Story
Izy arrived to the shelter underweight with missing hair and goo filled eyes. Now in foster, Izy is making strides to become the best version of herself. Here is what Izy`s foster has to share about this soulful girl:General personality: Izy is gentle and deeply affectionate, carrying a quiet sweetness despite a past marked by overbreeding and neglect. She leans in close, seeking love and reassurance, and finds comfort in your presence above all else. Always attentive to your cues, she looks to you for direction and approval, trusting you completely. Loyal to her core, Izzy becomes your constant shadow- soft, devoted, and eager to belong. Daily routine: I wake up at sunrise and take Izy out for a short 5-10min walk. Then we spend a half hour inside before she eats breakfast around 8:30am and settles into her crate for a nap. At lunch time, she goes out for another potty break, followed by enrichment and light training along with her ear ointment application and a gentle brushing. After that, she naps again in her crate until dinner time around 4:30, rounding out a routine that keeps her relaxed, cared for, and engaged.Izy`s foster also shares that she housebroken, friendly with dogs, low energy, and walks perfectly on the leash. Izy sleeps through the night, loves food, and scratches. Izy is not a fan of the cold weather, preferring to stay indoors in her bed.

Story
Meet Harold - "Hard‑Headed Harold"A big head, a big heart, and a whole lot of love.Harold earned his nickname partly because he can be a little stubborn, and partly because... well, he's literally one big hard head. But behind that tough exterior is a giant teddy bear who adores people and wants nothing more than affection. About HaroldBreed: RottweilerAge: Estimated 3 yearsWeight: Over 100 pounds of pure loveTemperament: Happy, social, affectionateHarold is a joy to be around. He's a big love bug who enjoys meeting new people and soaking up attention. He walks fairly well for his size, but adopters should be comfortable handling a large, strong dog.Other AnimalsHarold hasn't shown any signs of disliking other dogs, and we're open to a meet‑and‑greet with any resident pups. Cats, however, are a different story - he's a little too interested in them right now. We can do additional cat testing if needed, but we believe Harold's ideal home would be cat‑free.HealthUp to date on all vaccinesNeuter appointment will be scheduledNo known medical issues at this timeReady for His New LifeHarold came to us as a stray, and no owner has come forward. Now he's ready to start fresh with a family who will appreciate his goofy charm, giant cuddles, and happy‑go‑lucky spirit.Come meet this big lover boy and let his smile win you over. Story
Winnie was adopted about a year ago through the county, was told she was 5. She is such a sweet dog, loves to lick and stay by your side, whoever had her before us definitely had her in obedience school! About 3 months ago she out of the blue couldn’t stand, after about a week (money) she went to the vet, was told she didn’t have a stroke, which is what it appeared to be, bloodwork, X-rays etc. was told needed to see a neurologist but that isn’t in the cards. Working with her she is back to her normal self with the exception she does drag her front left paw. But that doesn’t stop her from running! Overall she is healthy, and utd on shots. I would not recommend older folks as she pulls going out the door on a leash, once she is out she is fine, but that just could be because I do not have a yard to run. So she had to be on a leash. She does not jump! She does excite pee. And she is somewhat crate trained but will pee if she is in there to long.
