Story
Meet ArchieArchie is a 1‑year‑old Rottweiler with all the classic Rottie charm — big personality, big heart, and a whole lot of determination. He’s looking for a Rottweiler‑experienced home that understands how powerful, smart, and stubborn this breed can be, and who can guide him into adulthood with structure and patience.Archie was unfortunately returned to us for being mouthy, so he’ll need an adopter who is committed to helping him work through this behavior with positive training and consistency. He’s a young dog with tons of potential — he just needs the right person to help him channel all that energy in the right direction. When it comes to other dogs, Archie does well with those who can handle a vocal, enthusiastic greeter. He’s still learning how to introduce himself politely, but he means well and enjoys canine company.Due to his behavior, Archie cannot live with cats, small dogs, or small children. He’ll thrive best in a home that can give him clear boundaries, ongoing training, and plenty of mental and physical enrichment. If you’re a Rottie‑savvy home looking for a loyal, goofy, eager‑to‑learn companion, Archie is ready to start his next chapter with you.Archie's adoption fee is $85, which helps support their medical care and preparation for adoption. Story
Meet Raelynn, a 4‑year‑old Rottweiler with a gentle heart and a playful spirit. She came to us after her previous owner could no longer keep her safely on their property—there was no fence, and this girl loves to explore. Because of that, her future home will need a secure, fenced‑in yard to keep her safe and happy. When Raelynn first arrived, she was shy, unsure, and clearly craving reassurance. With just a few days of patience and love, her true personality blossomed. Now she’s a bright, happy, free‑spirited dog who adores playing ball, soaking up cuddles, and being close to her people.Raelynn previously lived with other dogs, though during her initial dog test here she seemed a bit unsure. We’ll be retesting her to get a clearer picture of her comfort level. She was also cat‑tested and showed no negative reaction—just curiosity—so with proper introductions, she may do well.Raelynn is looking for a home that can offer her structure, affection, and a safe space to run and play. In return, she’ll give you loyalty, sweetness, and that classic Rottie charm. If you’re ready to open your heart and home to a loving girl who just wants to belong, Raelynn may be your perfect match. Please note: this pet is not yet spayed/neutered. Their surgery is planned for 4/24/26 and will be completed before adoption finalization.Raelynn's adoption fee is $200, which helps support their medical care and preparation for adoption. Story
I had 2 dogs, Knowledge- the dog listed, and Wisdom, a female. I fell in love with them instantly. Then, I started getting sick and it got bad the 3rd year. My doctor told me that I was allergic to dogs, cats and dust. I kept them another 3 years trying to figure out how to keep them. Wisdom, the female, is now with a beautiful family. I need to find a good home for Knowledge. I will help with his expenses if you need me to. I love him tremendously. He is so loving and he has been with my husband and I since birth. It's really hard even listing him on this site. He is 6 years old now. His birthday is December 21, 2019.

She would do best in a home with no children or older children who will respect her boundaries and no other pets, as she enjoys being the center of your world. While Liberty can get along with some dogs, she is selective about her canine companions and prefers to choose her friends. She’s housebroken, well-behaved, and walks beautifully on a leash. With a medium energy level, Liberty loves her outings but also knows how to unwind and relax when it's time to settle down. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will cherish your company, Liberty might be the perfect fit!Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.    Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet. Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSPONSOR ME! Help Save Lives!    Make a tax-deductible donation today and help save a life. Story
Who ya gonna call? Ghostbusters! I am GhostBuster and I have a neat, sad and then happy story to tell you... So hang on for the ride!! But realize my NEXT BEST CHAPTER can include you!! In the sweltering heat I was blessed enough to CHOOSE the Post Office to hang out in. I was there for months, and no one could get me...and they tried but they deliver MAIL, not SAVE DOGS for a living..:) The Post Master knew about a local rescue, and they tried to help me too...then I was hit by a car and injured... AND I found a girlfriend and she was my lucky break, literally. The Police Department was finally able to save us and away we went to the rescue! My sweet girlfriend, Avian, was adopted before me, but I believe this is MY TIME!! Here is what my rescue friends describe me.."GhostBuster is always happy to see you, his eyes shine, tail wags, and his energy boosts whenever he sees his favorite people! He has the subtle markings of a Rottweiler or a Doberman and the temperament of a lab. He had an injured hip when saved but he has had surgery and has had his heartworms treated. During all this time he has started to know what a kind hand is like, some love, and real food! Now he can learn what a real family is :) Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area )
